Magnificent views ! Please, do it securely ! Cape Leuwin ? May be a point where to celebrate the in/out of the indian zone For sure, such a point must be defined either by geographer or sailors so , after obscure conclave they have decided Leuwin
Thank you !!!!!! I wonder the same ! Cape Leeuwin is quite an ordinary cape. Cape Raoult or Cape Pillar (which have a cool name) are far much better for a Legendary Cape. And I don't understand why Cape Leeuwin.
When you don't know your boat inside out, in its current configuration, when running with barely tested equipment in those unforgiving waters, a safety margin is what you most certainly want to apply.
I couldn't agree with you more Conrad! I don't know why, but for some reason Cape Leeuwin defines the boundary between the Indian and Pacific Oceans, correct? Maybe that's just based on some arbitrary longitudinal standard, but to me, it would make a lot more sense for the Southern tip of Tasmania or New Zealand to do so.
You are so funny Conrad, i love it..! Thanks for sharing these talks, the ocean is a place to really look inward... Great race you're doing 👍
He's an amazing sailor and he's doing a fantastic sailing at the VG! Go Conrad!!
Thank you so much for your philosophic, interesting view on your way to cape horne:) Cool man♥
Thanks Conrad, for sharing!
Please keep the capes as they are... We already have so many disappearing species...
Good luck and 'have a good day'
Courage Conrad, vous êtes en bonne voie pour accomplir ce Vendée Globe avec succès, prenez soin de vous ❤

More a waypoint than a Cape.
Of course he's right about Leeuwin but it's one of those things that you're not supposed to say...🙂
