I have been using mod podge since the late 80's and used it on image transfer since then as well. Although back in the day the instruction was to just paint right over the image with mod podge instead of removing the paper. Removing the paper is much better as it last longer and looks better. Thanks for the video.

Thank you for answering a question I was going to ask about...laying the image face up on the modpodged wood instead of facedown...I recognize the difference it would make now👍🏼

I've used label paper for this process and it works great. Peel all the labels off first, then print your image onto the slick side of the paper. The paper peels easily off the wood; no rubbing required. The image came out nice and dark even on dark stained wood. I did let it set for 24 hours per the Mod Podge instructions.

Mod Podge makes a transfer medium you use the same way and it works beautifully. I didn't know you could do it with regular Mod Podge - I'm going to try that. But last Christmas I made personalized T-shirts for gifts with the transfer medium, and they've even held up in the wash.

Great tutorial! 💓 I have done this many times for gifts and it's always well received. I have actually use a homemade recipe of mod podge it's 2 parts (dollar tree) glue to 1 part water. (Works just the same as the good stuff for me and it's much cheaper) Also 8hrs is the least amount of time for it to set to have a good outcome. When I have given it as a gift I usually use 3 shiplap style wood put together or one good size piece. Wrap some twine 5 times around one side for a more finished look. Love it!

This is a wonderful project! I have done this multiple times. I have used modge podge but I found that I have the best success with Americana Decor Image Transfer medium. I put a thin coat on my wood and a thin coat on my image and let it dry. Then I add another coat to the wood and the image and while still wet, I place my image on my wood. I let it dry completely and then start with the water and a rag and mostly my fingers to get the remaining white paper left on the wood image. Getting that remaining paper off can take some time because you only see it when it starts drying but with time and patience it will turn into a beautiful art piece! I love all of your videos Liz!! I hope you have a blessed day!

Yes I have done this & yes it’s can be tricky & sometimes frustrating! I watched many videos on it to make sure I was doing it right but sometimes I got so frustrated because I didn’t like outcome. I did have a little some success. So my suggestion is make sure it’s a laser print.😀

I tried this twice and a white film is left over. It looks like paper fibers are in there as well. I was super gentle and got off all the paper that I could...even to the point of messing up my image in some spots. What did I do wrong?

I probably missed a few of your videos but what are the curing times for this project after applying the Mod Podge during, before, and after? I hear 12 to 24 hours but after seeing your video, you didn't say anything about times. Thank you
