As a TMNT fan, just to be able to play as Krang’s suit would be worth getting the game. It was really fascinating to learn about how the supply and demand of this game has made it a collector’s item.
The Krang suit was for sure one of the main highlights of the game! And yeah the game has such a weird post release it’s no wonder the value has jumped up as much as it has.
I preordered this game and still have it for PS4. Over all I like it, I don't think it is as bad as most people say. If you are a TMNT fan and love beat'em up games, you will probably like this. I give it an 8 out of 10.
Tbh I actually enjoyed this game I loved the combat, boss fights, the fact that each character has their own unique abilities I mostly used super shuriken cuz of how much damage it did on bosses and I love the voice acting for this game
Mutants in Manhattan was that kind of hack n' slash that seemed like some of the elements were inspired by the beat'em'ups of the past. Not only were the moves and combos flashy, but special moves would change a character's outline color, sometimes even flashing in rainbows. If you stayed too long in an area before triggering the next generated mission, there would be an event that would trigger for you and keep the pace moving along. All in all, the game felt very arcade-like in its presentation. The simplistic style and replay ability added more to this arcade-ike feel. Not to mention, the last level featured an elevator arena, a staple of every beat'em'up of olde, to fight enemies in. It's a shame that the only means of acquiring this again are either the physical copies, or elsewhere for the digital copies.
3:42 Also to tell you that while the combat may seem "like a blob", it's more of what you'd expect from the Dynasty Warriors series except for 6 and 9. You use square and triangle/ X and Y to sync up combo attacks and finishers. Much like the dynasty warriors series, instead of the game calculating and detecting how many times you're pressing any of the attack buttons, it's determining at certain key frames of the attack animation if you're pressing one of the attack buttons or not. You have to either be used to it or have a bit of an eye of understanding to identify and notice that. And with that, yeah it's going to feel a bit clunky. Also, steam keys are going for around 1k. Bobby might scoff at that on his new yacht, but that just goes to show what kind of demand and risks some are willing to take to try this out.
I work at Gamestop and I had a customer bring this in for trade today. I had never seen it before, which is somewhat rare for me to not recognize a game cover, so I purchased it from him for $5 more than Gamestop was offering him. Wasn't aware it was such a rare game but I'm looking forward to playing through it.
I felt this game was really good. I think too many times we hold the older games to such a high standard that we don't let the other Turtle games even touch it even if the games are actually pretty good.
I freakin love this game & I even platinumed it! The worst thing is the waiting lobby but if you can friend others & find a schedule that works there’s a lot of fun to be had.
This game had some potential. If the combo system and enemies were reworked a bit (along with a couch-co-op system), it'd be a classic. The trouble is, the trailers betrayed more of a story-based experience, but what we got was more of a hybrid between arcade and some cheap open world. I wish a modding team would get ahold of this thing.
Im a big fan of TMNT and I’ve always wanted a good game to go on the Xbox One. And when I discovered mutants in Manhattan. I instantly fell INLOVE with the style and it all together, despite bad reviews I still would have bought the game, but I had been too late since they had ripped the game from digital stores
This game is so misunderstood. The mindset you gotta be in to enjoy it is much more like a Monster Hunter game. I was lucky enough to play with a full team online and when you do that and stop playing it as a mindless hack and slash it is an incredible game. I hope someday it gets ported to a system that can handle split screen so maybe more people could understand what it was trying to do.
i got this game with my first xbox as a kid and recently wanted to replay it, didn’t realise it was a collectors item 😅 i’d never sell tho gave me great memories
I still got the game to this day I just started playing it again yesterday and I forgot how much fun I have on the game I know lots of people don’t like it but I really enjoy it brings back childhood and I have lots of fun playing it
I personally haven’t played Korra, went of reviews when talking about that one, but MiM did have some redeeming factors like the artstyle. And yeah Platinum was just trying to get some extra funding it seems.
It really does need a sequel since it ended on a cliffhanger and it needs to allow the players to fully explore New York without any black screens blocking us and fight some enemies along the way as not only the TMNT but also Casey, Splinter and April. Also there needs to be a fast travel with the Turtle Blimp and Subway train, playable vehicles like the Turtle Van/Party Wagon, customs, skins and no teleporting from one part of New York to the next through a load screen.
Right before you listed the names of the games that devs previously worked on I was just thinking “they should’ve gotten the devs of metal gear rising to make it” then when you mentioned it my jaw was on the floor
Also I have a physical copy so this was a neat surprise learning that it was rare and worth a lot. I’m not gonna sell it because I remember enjoying it but that was like years ago.
IIRC, they did enjoy making Devastation as much of the team were TF fans, and I think it shows in how the game is directly set in Generation 1 during a time when they were pushing the Aligned Continuity
The only reason the game didn't do so good is because people didn't even know it was out. when I found out I bought two copies one for PlayStation 4 and the other for PlayStation 3 they should just give it to Nintendo switch and I would buy it again
Dam, I have been blessed to get the 360 version and then later the ps4 version at relatively cheap prices. I really loved the game too, every time I found out new combos I would try to recreat it. Even though I have some gripes I still enjoy the game and will continue to play. It just saddens me that this game was made only to cash in........
Found this at a music shop ps4 version they were selling it for $5.99 had no clue it was worth over $60 nowadays lol crazy to think how old ps4 and Xbox one are already crazy.

They could have simply threw the turtles into the Bayonetta engine and called it a day like they did with Transformers... But they didn't. I have a physical copy of the game but unfortunately it's broken. But I do remember having a great time playing the video game. Probably because I haven't played much video games in my time so this was one of my first ever experience playing a 3d platform free roam game. I got the game when I was 16. Also, I didn't really mind the story. Shredder and certain classic villains wanting to destroy New York is a very classic premise for TMNT. I'm pretty sure that's what Shredder's Revenge is going to be about. They succeeded in making a literal 3D adaptation of the old arcade games and I don't see a problem with that. I'm not a huge comic book reader so I don't really care much about IDW TMNT. 9/10 for me. I especially love the mega Krang level where you hop aboard the robots and Michelangelo and Raphael begin to shout out anime references. Very definitive stuff coming from the ninja turtles in my opinion. I always played as Raphael.
i actually own a physical copy of the game on ps4, i remember aphaomagasin talking about the game when it was announced, and wanted the game myself. played it a bit, but i probably should give it a go again sometime.
I'm actually kind of intrigued by this game. It honestly does not look that bad at all. I mean I get that bad controls and things like that are very difficult to convey to someone who hasn't played the game for themselves but I still think I might enjoy it. I don't know if I'll ever get a chance to play it but I would definitely give it a shot. I would totally play for an hour and keep an open mind. I feel like if a game hasn't caught my interest after an hour it's completely fair to abandon it so I would give it that hour and maybe more. You never know. Maybe I'll have fun Also, I legit appreciate TH-camrs who wish me a good day or something like that. That honestly does feel good. It sends the message that you value your audience. It's a nice gesture
It's not a terrible game and does have some fun aspects to it so it's worth a try to see if it's your style, just sad it's so hard to get ahold of now. And thanks for the kind words, and glad I'm able to uplift the audience and show appreciation too! Thanks for watching!

People might want to blame platinum but i’m sure its activision that wanted the game made cheaply and gave them a piss poor budget to work with, so they did the best with what they were given and i think it was still fun and enjoyable.
I'm actually playing the game right now while watching this video and to be honest I really enjoy this game. Might be because I'm a little kid with no standards but to be honest I think it's pretty entertaining but feel free to think otherwise

Yeah, I really thought I'd enjoy the game more too. It's not the worst but Activision really knows how to ruin games for the money.

It’s so expensive right now
People might want to blame platinum but i’m sure its activision that wanted the game made cheaply and gave them a piss poor budget to work with, so they did the best with what they were given and i think it was still fun and enjoyable.
You can redownload this game if you owned it before using Xbox app
I'm actually playing the game right now while watching this video and to be honest I really enjoy this game. Might be because I'm a little kid with no standards but to be honest I think it's pretty entertaining but feel free to think otherwise
Same I agree
Can you still play online with friends
@@antwonmorton6525 I don’t think so. I tried doing that, but sense the lack of players in the game, it’s almost impossible to find other players.
@@random8z I got a buddy who wants to play it but we were unsure to buy it and can’t get online together
I have mutant in Manhattan and it didn't disappear i completely it to
I am not a big fan of it but i would not mind watching the movie
Depends on which TMNT movie..the first two are the best!
I saw the new one. It wasn't as good as the tv show i watched
It's crazy the ps3 version is cheaper than the PS4 one.
