Every single person in the orchestra looks like they could've been a film actor.
Yes! Amazing!! :D
Karajan insisted that every man in the orchestra were indeed well groomed.
Good cinematography can turn anything “alive”.
This wasn’t just “audio” either.
You should see: The Doors- live orchestral films.
Powerful, awe inspiring and totally Jim.
Leonardo Paoletti black and white helps with this as well
Professionals, each and every one.
This video is pure gold. Seems impossible that it's 50 years old
I thought the same thing, how is it so crystal clear?
50 years dude what its more epic than anything now
Like, name a single Karajan recording that hasn't been remastered.
The only thing left is to make it color.
Before I read the description of the video I thought that it's recent video and they turned it into black and white.
Dvorak is so underrated ! His music are all masterpieces

Most of the people we see in this video probably passed away. However, they left one of the finest examples of music to us which in my eyes makes them immortal. Thank you.
an orchestra of all older men, no women (God forbid).
People die, Music is eternal.
And in our ears.
They are all oldmen. Because the younger musicians died in the war or stay alive in Soviet cages for prisoners of war.
Well stated
Karajan looked more like a rock star than most real rock stars.
For he is more badass
I totally agree
He was a member of Nazi party 👎
He was a nazi though
Indeed he was :)
I literally searched "that classical music which starts like Jaws theme" and found that masterpiece.
Plsss I thought it was the jaws theme when I first heard it as well 😭🤚
Yes.sure that the compositor of Jaw’s music got inspired by Dvorak.cannot be a coincidence.

It’s so interesting to watch different people playing the same instrument, piece, and section at the same time. Each person has their own nuance, and each giving complete focus to their own task; It’s fascinating!
Absolutely right !!!!!
I was thinking the same thing, and how the music would sound different, if you scaled down the members? :)

supposedly, Dvorak was inspired by Native American music to write this symphony.
Gladiator?
One Piece also used this song..
1:07 damn that gave me chills too❤🔥
The best symphony in the history of mankind. Absolutely perfect
I love to see how Karajan conducts the whole symphony and he gets immersed in it so much!!
Gustavo Dudamel is good if you like those kind of conductors.
Karajan gets immersed in the music but still remains more or less controlled. You can see he's into it, but he's "dignified" about it.
Dudamel got me worried at first because I thought he was having a seizure

Dvořák is such an underrated composer. I've only listened to a few works by him (this and the american string quartet) but I love his characteristic sound so much.

Very fast....but fascinating version
It really isn't.
Actually, it's sped up a little. The real time speed should be a little slower.
It is 1/2 step higher than the natural key, due to an old recording proclivity. And thus faster.
I agree, but powerful none the less!
@@gelsen888 It's sped up yes, but this speed isn't impossible, just more difficult.
I heard this piece yesterday live, it was an amazing experience, the entire symphony, but especially the last movement is extremely epic, but when you hear it live, it's even more epic and unforgettable.

Since my early youth, this is one of my favourites. What is better than Karajan and the Berliner Philharmoniker. I met Karajan at his house in the Salzburg area and frequently at my work at Basel, Switzerland. Nevertheless, I could tell the reader some episodes as well.
Hey, that's so cool can you tell me something more about him based on your personal experiences?

Totally stoked that Dvorak's works are getting more recognition. One of the most creative and imaginative of the 19th-century composers.
That's one of the best songs which I've listen it. Very brilliant!
For anyone confused by the sudden interest in this piece: it was used in a mash-up performance by the K-pop group ATEEZ. You can find the performance here: th-cam.com/video/-uDitNeFO-I/w-d-xo.html . It looks like a musical with scenes and action!

@@w_moonshines yikes

The composition was not written as a celebration of the kingdom, but as a reaction to the turbulent world and mainly as a longing for home (Czechoslovakia). The composer Dvořák was not paid for the composition (he received a bad check):-(
