I used to have to watch Limmy's Show with subtitles. No longer. I genuinely think I've gotten used to the accent now, crazy how nature do that
At first I thought was able to grasp Limmy's scottish accent better today. But as I returned to his previous videos I conclude that his latest videos dont use as thick accent as his previous one.

I love to watch Limmy when I'm eating. This one is a special experience that I'll never forget.
Poor captions can't even handle a single sentence correctly
But think about how much better they are compared to 10 years ago. Back then, even the most clear RP would result in gibberish. But now? Even Scottish accents get half decent results where they can actually provide a wee bit of clarity. Is it great? No, not really. But far better than nothing, which was far from the case a few years ago.
Imagine where the technology will be in just 5 years. It could make the bit about voice recognition technology in a Scottish lift archaic. Imagine that!
