- In this video we are going to be taking a look at every Combat Patrol 2024 box and seeing which ones are worth buying to start a collection or potentially expand from a different starting point.
In this Combat Patrol review we will be breaking down each, we’ll be looking to see what is in every box, the amount of points you can build from it (from the very recent january balance dataslate), the value you get from each 40k combat patrol 2024 box compared to buying each unit separately from games workshop and also whether it’s a good starting point for a force or even if it’s worth getting multiple! This way we can give you an overall idea of which are the best combat patrols to buy, ranking each combat patrol box for different categories.
The Combat Patrol boxes are Games Workshop’s discount offering to get into a warhammer 40k faction typically priced at £95, €125 or $160 which are the prices they’ll be compared against to determine the value.
Games workshop have been updating these in 10th edition with the release of each of new codex, so if there is a box you like and your faction is getting their new codex soon according to the roadmap it may well be worth grabbing it before it’s too late!
Let me know down in the comments section below which Combat Patrol you think is the best value and if you've started collecting Warahmmer 40k using one.

You can also kitbash 3-4 extra characters with the GSC box, bc the Truck comes with extra bodies. Becomes a 900 point box. Insanely good deal
Great shout!
only disadvantage is you have to play GSC
@@onyxcrusader9536 I love GSC. Their playstyle is super fun
@@rickrivers2021 fair enough, they look cool
Ive just heard they are ridiculously expensive
@onyxcrusader9536 without the combat patrol, yeah they become pricey (though with the nerfs in September it did get better than it's been historically)
But if you buy the combat patrol 3 times and kitbash most of your characters they're actually cheaper than average
Getting back into it in 9th, the Deathwatch box was a great start for my Imperial Fists. Tons of bolters, and this made me fall in love with Aggressors. In 9th when IF could turn any bolter weapon into pistols, they absolutely shredded in melee.
That sounds like great fun and I really do like the Aggressor models too, nice a chunky! While the boxes many not always be suitable for the Chapter named on the box it definietly gives marine players a lot more options to get started.
The prices are nuts. I used to paint and play GW 35 years ago so yeah it’s changed a lot but £95 for 12 miniatures is crazy. Horus on his own is £85 and Angron is £100 🤯
To be fair most things are far more expensive compared to 35 years ago. At least the model quality has improved significantly. Although it’s still a pretty expensive hobby, as computer games now cost upwards of £70 new I supposed it’s all relative in that regards 🤷♂️
Plus there are way to make it cheaper than buying directly.
@@TheCommandPhase steam sales. The amount of value games give for far less is insane.
Holy shit, the production value on this is sick. Great job, mate!
Thank you very much, very glad to hear you enjoyed it!
tbh as someone getting into DG that was able to get the boarding patrol box, The combat patrol for Death Guard is a snice pickup seeing as with the poxwalkers youll get the 3 plague marines to have a force of 10 plague marines. At worst you have an extra 10 poxwalkers you might not use. At best you have 20 for typhus and 10 for playing objectives and using them as fodder while you pickup a 10 man cultists squad to replace them.
The boarding patrol was a great box and hopefully should be the base when they update the combat patrol this edition 🤞
First time watching and you have the "how is it made" vibe. Love it and now sub.
Thank you so much for the kind words - really glad you enjoyed the content and I appreciate the sub!
Good stuff. Consider an analysis of of a couple of boxes. Blood Angels and old Dark Angels without upgrade sprues is a pretty good 1000 points. Both Elf boxes is near 1000 points of Ynarri.
For sure and with the marines, if you can sell of the upgrade sprues at a reasonable price you'll get a great start at a low cost. Then it's adding in fun options to get to 2k. Great shout!
The nicest thing about the Daemons Combat Patrol is that it basically packs everything you'll want to summon to the table in a large Blades of Khorne AoS game. Throughout, you rack up points for killing or being killed, and then can summon Bloodletters or Hounds etc for free. That Combat Patrol is basically a must-buy if you don't want to spend all your points on short-term unit buffs but keep yourself in the game.
Great point!
Nice advice, in addition to this it may be worth it for some people to add to their combat patrol box with that of some editions of the combat patrol soon to be found for sale on forbidden planet.
Those magazines will be a great help for a fair number of players, even just supplementing with the odd issue. Some LGS’ like Dark Sphere over here in the UK do some pre-orders of issues too.
My favorite CPs so far would have to be Black Templars & Tyranids. (played Nids a few times online TTS)
I bought Black Templars on a whim. Never looked at Space Marines before, never wanted them. BUT THE TEMPLARS WERE ON SALE at my LGS and I love me a bargain. First models I've owned in 3-4 years. Since then I'm really digging the lore and plan to expand to 2K points in the future!
I played my first IRL game of CP today and it was Templars vs Necrons. I got lucky a couple times and ended up almost tabling them turn 3. All he had left was his warlord.
The black templars box looks really good on the table and a really fun army to collect. Glad you’re enjoying yourself and having fun on the tabletop 👍
People really expect far to much from these sets, they are not additions to what you have they are to start people off in the hobby. I mean for many years people complained that these sets didn't contain HQ options to make them a complete table top force, now they have started doing that people are still complaining!
Pretty new to the hobby and I'm having a tough time deciding which army to start collecting. I love the new Leagues of Votann, the Tau seem like a lot of fun to paint, and the Grey Knights are such a great value and look sick! Awesome video and very informative! ❤
All 3 of those are really great armies and honestly I’d pick the one you like the look of the most and excited about modelling and painting up. In terms of the armies themselves, the tau are getting their new codex soon which may well help for the gaming side, plus all the new amazing kroot. Votann are in a great spot and should get their second wave of models in this edition which will help but being so new it’s a great time to pick them up. In terms of grey knights, the combat patrol is great value, the only hesitation i’d have with them is the age of the models but they are a really cool force.
If you still can’t decide, the other option you have is to pick up a single box/unit from each and see which you enjoy working on the most.
Hope you have a great time picking and enjoy starting your first army! 👍
@@TheCommandPhase thank you so much! I'll look for some cheaper sets or figures and see which one I like more!
If you "love", Votann, I guess thats your dudes right there
When I first started 40k around 3 years ago, my first box was the T'au start collecting box. I would not recommend T'au as your first army. They are hard to paint, especially if you don't have an airbrush. The models are small with really small nooks and crannies to try to get paint into. And white is a really hard color to paint right even for people who are experienced painters. GW's white paints are among the worst in the miniature painting world. I would stay away from T'au as a beginner.
Grey Knights are not a walk in the park either. The overall silver color is really easy to paint, especially with an airbrush. But then you have lots, and I really mean lots, of really small parts to paint as well, just like the T'au, and even worse in some cases.
I haven't painted any Votann yet but I have the combat patrol assembled and they don't look like they'll be hard to paint.
I would just like to mention that with a bolt pistol, non helmet head, spare rocket launcher left hand from a havoc sprue and a bit of optional kit bashing you can definitely make a legionary with balefire tome
Oh that's a cool idea - love that! Thank you for sharing.
Great roundup! The new combat patrols coming in so far are definitely "downsized" compared to existing ones, seemingly getting rid of the big/tough centrepiece units, so I'm picking up the ones that will be replaced soon... if anyone wants to know more about the Combat Patrol game itself, "Empire of wargames" on youtube has a lot of reviews and guides for it.
Thank you! I can understand why they are removing them for trying to balance the format, but as a product it becomes less enticing for someone starting a new army. At least for me as the centrepiece model was generally one of the main exciting points to pick up the box, especially for a newer player. Hopefully they’ll realise this is the case, but one thing that is nice is GW putting new combat patrol rules into white dwarf magazines.
I’ll be very curious to see what they end up doing with the next armies to get their codex, and like yourself grabbing whichever ones I want while I can!
Love the video! I just bought my first 3 models to see how I like the the building and painting.
The faction i was wanting to play was Salamanders but seeing how they dont have a combat patrol, how much do you think it would cost to get the proper units for a Salamander army?
Thank you, I’m really glad to hear you enjoyed it! Welcome to the hobby and hope you enjoy building and painting up those kits 🙂
In terms of salamanders, with 10th edition you can play them in any of the detachments as it’s more of an aesthetic choice than anything else - and a really cool choice at that!
You can use pretty much any of the combat patrols and sell of any upgrade sprues, although if you’re able to grab a leviathan half off eBay at a good price, or even the starter set half if not to get the new space marine combat patrol at a cheaper price would be a good start. Or something that may be a harder find would be the Salamanders Warforged strike force from a couple years ago. Again only if it’s RRP or less for that one.
Hope that is of some help.
Look for any unit that has torrent/melta weapon options. Of the boxes available the Blood Angel box is probably the best starting point just for the aggressors with the flame throwers. If you can ever see a Land Raider Redeemer GET IT. It's a big point value has the best flamethrower in the army and can have a melta weapon.
If you're buying units from a physical store only, you will never find Vulkan He-Stan. One of the two unique Salamander characters. He is online only, so you won't find him in your local store. Also he is a resin model so make sure you have the proper glue for him. The other Salamander character Adrax you can find at stores and is not resin. Just make sure if you want to play Salamanders to not get any other named characters because the game doesn't allow that.
Infernus marines (Flamethrower marines) are not buyable on there own at the moment (The pre-orders just came out). So unless you get them in a box which at the moment is the starter boxes or standard space marine combat patrol. You'll have to wait to get them on there own.
I know that's a lot. I'm sorry if it doesn't all make sense. TLDR Blood Angels is a good starting point and if you want basic flame thrower marines you'll have to wait a little bit. I really hope this helps and doesn't scare you.
I just started collecting with the warforged strike team (aka salamanders) box and was looking to grab the starter set which for 140 Canadian is pretty much the combat patrol box minus one unit and tyranids. Add the old dark angels box would probably be a good start. If anyone has any recommendations, they would be helpful.
You earned a sub thank you so much! Just geting into the hobby.
Welcome to the hobby! Hope you have a fantastic time exploring Warhammer and if you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out 👍
I'm thinking of starting grey knights. Will probably get 2-3 combat patrols and a boarding patrol. The 3rd librarian will either be spare parts or a cool figure to overlook my shelfs
I mean that would be pretty much a perfect army right there, especially if you can find a boarding patrol too as Crowe is a great model and evens out the number of strike squads compared to terminators!
The space marine combat patrol box is the starter set box plus the librarian, now in Australia this box is $265aud meanwhile the starter set is $150aud and the only thing you don’t get is the librarian ($66aud), you also get the tyranids which can be used for as you said a friend, some cool scenic bases or diorama…….the fact gw think inserting the librarian is worth an extra $115aud is astounding, I’m not sure what it is in other currency but as it stands both the space marines and the tyranid combat patrol boxes are the worst deals gw has made and shows how low effort and poor their business practices are, imo none of these combat patrol boxes are worth it and gw need to start putting real savings and have sales on their products.
100% agree. Those two boxes are very lazy and like you said definitely not worth buying with all the other ways to get hold of the same models for less.
The Chaos Havocs has 2 of each weapon on the sprues except for the Reaper Chain Cannon
Ah apologies, thanks for clarifying for the other viewers 👍
Great, I am starting csm army atm.
And thank you
If you are playing OPR any of them. If you are playing 40k, Dark Eldar, Tau, or Necrons arent the worst.
I’ve not tried OPR myself, but thank you for your input 👍
Love the video and presentation style. Though, you made a minor mistake with the CSM CP. Havocs get 2 of each gun, not 1. Still not ideal but you only need to buy 2 to get a full set :)
Oh that’s handy to know for the viewers, thank you for sharing 👍
Glad your enjoyed the video!
Two of each except the chaincannon, that's a single copy, which is really awkward considering that's probably the second thing most people want them for.
I started with the Aeldari, but I might be able to get one of the 'old' Dark Angels. If I can, I will
It’s a great box if you can 👍
The dark eldar box is so tempting to me.
Oh I can imagine - it’s pretty much the perfect starting box for that faction. They’re next on my list to start 😂
Just buyed an Imperial Guard combat patrol. While it is sure not the best, the Astra Militarum is one of my favorite factions, that's the main reason for me to buying it.
Thats all that matters tbh, whether models are good now or not is inconsequential. I hope you enjoy building and painting them up!
Whats funny is the cadia stands box comes with the same units as the combat patrol while also coming with their codex book and mission cards for less money.
Death Guard is legitimately criminal.
It certainly isn’t a very nicely thought out box - hopefully this edition we get something closer to the boarding patrol box as that was actually good.
I got the T'au box myself as my first ever purchase for 40K. Despite the fact the box point wise is lesser than most and the Ethereal at this point has been phased out of my army. I still think the T'au box is a great pick up. The Ghostkeel is a stupidly good unit for the points it costs. A squad of Breachers with a Fireblade can be VERY powerful. The Stealth suits are a great spotter unit that can clear out chaff and with the meta do some major damage.
My only issue is more so a T'au issue in general. Where they list the Drones as models (And they're included as part of the price). I understand for newer/casual players the drone models are important for remembering them. I also know that in previous editions taking drones cost extra points but now they don't, so now they add to the price tag for no point value. I myself at this point have no need for them and unless it's a unique drone, I'm not building it or wasting space on it.
Still the combat patrol box is a great pick up. I just think without the drones being forced in it, the box could fit an extra unit. It's the same issue as divergent Space Marine chapter boxes.
I totally get what you mean about the drones, great points about tau and the box. I do need to actually get to painting mine up with the kroot just around the corner.
Thanks for the comment and hope the upcoming codex treats you well 👍
I'm new and planning on starting dark angels with their new combat patrol but I'm also going to buy a squad of Primaris Aggressors so that the captain in gravis armor is usable, thoughts?
It’s a good starting point for a lot of the infantry you’d need for a force and the aggressors are a nice unit to have too! You can then expand how you’d like going forward with all the cool units, tanks and Dark Angels specific models too. Hope you have a great time putting it together 👍
The CSM box if you can afford 3 or 4 of them . They are not a bad combat patrol to begin with as you get mutipol of the same kit . Assuming you do not mind the lack of the CSM kill team do not losing out on that war gear. As the darkdiisple of you are creative enough with the extra bits they can be made in to other CSM characters from all of the war gear ( IE a chaos lord or even a chaos sorceror ) with using the base model as a conversion base . Still like the old 9th edition CSM shadow spear combat patrol box you are limited still This box is not bad to get in to CSM if you do not mind the play style the box is made for.
As getting 4 of them at a good discount at a local hobby store. You have quickly made army to get a 2k list . This box even if you get 2 or 3 of them as start then you have solid begining force to add other models to .
Can wait till the new combat patrol magazine later this year😊
Should be great - I'm hoping to grab a few issues myself!
I wish the boarding patrol boxes are still around. I bought the Black Legion one and it was great.
They were fantastic boxes - was a shame they stopped making them.
@@TheCommandPhase I think the best of the BP boxes are Black Legion, Tau, Ork, Grey Knight, and Ultramarines.
Having a look back through the boxes, I definitely didn’t see many duds to be fair! I’d certainly add Custodes and Thousand Sons to your list. Especially as the Tsons actually got rubric marines in their box instead of Tzaangors 😂
@@TheCommandPhase Tyranid and Khorne Daemons are not that great. I forgot that Death Guard BP box is also pretty awesome, especially compared to the terrible CP box...
I bought 2 of the World Eaters Combat Patrols to start my WE army and honestly plan on buying a 3rd when I can afford it. Lol
That’s pretty awesome to be fair and a horde of Khorne Berserkers would be a scary sight! Plus all of the models in the box look fantastic too!
Recently got 2 lov combat patols and 2 Christmas boxes. I think I have just bought everything. The Army provides add 2 boxes of the engineer.
That's a really amazing start to an army - good work getting hold of those christmas boxes as they sold out fast!
@TheCommandPhase yeah I moved quick, also got into a frenzy and snagged a WE xmas box... I don't even play WE. Idk if I should pick up a WE CP or sell it to a friend at cost.
The WE combat patrol alongside that incredible army box would give you 30 berserkers which is more than enough for a force and would make for a good addition if you did want to play that faction later on down the line. Certainly wouldn't need any more troops. But if you don't fancy playing/painting up that faction, no harm in getting your money back for it. If you don't need the money right now, no harm in keeping it for a bit until you decide what you'd like to do.
im going to find the watchers at the gate box to start my custodes army in about a month.. and maybe a tank and blade champion. i still have to look at the points
If you can find that box it’s an incredible start - that’s what I ended up using myself! Fingers crossed for you 🤞
@@TheCommandPhase ive seen them from $300-400 on ebay.. someone told me its $200 in the uk.. . how do you feel about that price $300-400? seems worth it
@sheeemt399 if all the components end up cheaper than buying them separately from an online game store then it’s still a good deal.
I just recently started collecting grey knights and for two reason. One became i had a cool idea for a unique colour scheme, and two because the combat patrol box is so damb good 😂😂
Awsome video dude 💚
Oh nice, what colour scheme are you going for? 100% their combat patrol is awesome value for money!
Thank you for the kind words, glad you enjoyed it 🙂
@TheCommandPhase yeh absolutely.
I'm going with a scheme inspired by the green knight from fantasy, so doing metallic green armour, white shoulder and cloth, bronze trim and on forrest bases. I haven't finished any yet but look cool so far 😆
@ghostparty2062 that sounds great! You’ll have to share some pics with me once done
@@TheCommandPhase I'd be happy to. What would be the best way to do that 🙂
On my channel page are all my social media links or email address - any of those work :)
I picked up the AdMech box a week ago. It's my firs WH set 🗿
That’s awesome, I really do hope you enjoy building, painting and playing that faction. It’s a really cool looking range 👍
@@TheCommandPhase Thanks! Already well on its way. Will make the most of it! (Tbh I picked them 70% on their looks, 29% for the lore, and the remaining 1% was the afterthought of the stats after I had already bought them)
That’s the best way to choose a force tbh!
Just picked up the death guard combat patrol
I hope you have a great time collecting that army! They are a really cool faction 🙂
For the guard box; if they replaced the FOB with either a second sentinel or a heavy weapons team, it would be massively better for most players and you would easily justify buying multiple boxes even with the total points in the box dropping by 50-60. Such an easy fix its annoying lol
That is a good shout - it will be interesting to see what they decide to do with it come the codex release later on in 10th
I feel like the Tyranids Combat Patrol is kind of a weird one. You're getting many new units and it feels more like an introduction box than a box to get into the army. It shows very much when you're playing directly against the Space Marine box, since you're not really getting a counter to the Terminators. Usually you want heavy hitters to deal with the Terminators, but you're looking at many units that dont even have AP when shooting and melee against Terminators isn't really what you want. The characters having Terminator armor as well isn't helping either.
It might be a really good box to play against other armys, but directly compared to the Space Marine box, it feels like getting the "player 2 controller" if you know what I mean.
I haven't really checked out the rules for the combat patrol specifically to see if there were any changes to make them better at dealing with that type of unit for internal balancing the boxes. But I totally get what you mean here. It was very much a starter set product repackaged, although the Terminators can only be in one place, so you do have some mission play with your larger amount of units I suppose.
I think if they swapped the Psychophage for the Screamer Killer if we are talking just the models from Leviathan, maybe that would have helped solve the problem.
The new sculpts are fantastic though!
@@TheCommandPhase Oh yeah. Don’t get me wrong, I really love what they did with the Tyranid one. The old box was way more unbalanced I think. The Hive Tyrant is missing for sure and the Psychophage is kinda weird sometimes, as it can be a little bit unreliable sometimes when you really need to do damage. But other than that, I like the Barbgaunts and I really love the Von Ryan’s. The Winged Prime is a bit weak sometimes, but that’s okay.
What I would have absolutely loved is to see the Tyrannofex in there. Just finished my first one (the posable legs were a pain tbh) and really love this model. This one and the Norn Emissary were the reason for me to play the army, so of course both of them get a valuable spot in my army :D
I recently grabbed Deathleaper as like you, loved the Von Ryan's, but that Norn Emissary model will be coming home one day - such an incredible looking model, so not surprised it gets a spot in your army!
You can build 3 characters from the custodes box.
Ah apologies I forgot about the sisters of silence character
there is rumors that the new sisters combat patrol is changing by only removing the rhino and everything else staying the same
That would be extremely disappointing if true
Should I get the world eaters christmas box and the combat patrol?..... I am new. Or should I just pick one?
First of all, Welcome to the hobby!
If you can find the Christmas box at retail or less it’s an incredible start to a world eaters army and a bargain! That being said the combat patrol is still a really great option if you can’t and potentially a lot more manageable for a newer player as Angron while incredible is a big model.
Hope you have a great time getting into the hobby with that army, great new sculpts and pretty fun! If you have any other questions feel free to get in touch 👍
@@TheCommandPhase so I should not get both? You are saying christmss box id better start?
If you were only getting one box, the Christmas one is the best option (If you can find one at a good price). But they certainly do pair nicely together if you did want to buy both boxes.
After that you won’t be too far off a 2k list and probably will want some more eightbound. Hopefully when they get phase two of their model release there will be some more options for the army later on in the edition.
I've been looking to buy a space marine combat patrol to add to my pile of shame... so this video is really useful in deciding which specific chapter box i should buy foor the best value. That was until i noticed an error. In the blood angels value section its says 5x Primaris intercessors is £50? Also, in the space wolves value section 10x Primaris intercessors for £50 too. You have the correct price for intercessors in the other combat patrols at 10 for £37.50, but the way blood angels ones were overpriced does skew their value a lot. They are still comparable to the other space marine combat patrols in that you save probably around 30-35%.
Still helped me decide though. I need 10 extra intercessors and i could do with filling out some other small squads that i have, and I'm seeing all the combat patrols as low as £76 from 3rd party sellers. ive decided to go for the new dark angels box as I have a 5 man hellblaster squad that could do with some reinforcement and i have 3 bladeguard veterans too that need filling out too, so i think thats the one for me. Its just a shame my army is ultras and i wont be using the upgrade sprues.
Thanks for pointing out the error, turns out the discounts were correct, I just forgot to move the different units to the correct places for those. So the overall total and discount is still viable to use for those two. Apologies for that. Below is the correct pricing a placement for reference.
*Blood Angels*
1x Primaris Librarian £25.00
1x Impulsor £50.00
5x Primaris Intercessors £18.75
5x Primaris Incursors £18.75
3x Primaris Aggressors £35.00
2x Blood Angels Primaris Upgrade Frames £20.00
TOTAL £167.50
DISCOUNT £72.50
DISCOUNT 43%
It does sounds like you've made your decision though and grabbing from a discount retailer is the best method. Plus selling off the upgrade frames, with a little bit of effort at least makes the price even cheaper for you which is a plus. Shouldn't take long to sell either.
@@TheCommandPhase ahh I see now. I was assuming that you'd input the wrong amounts but clearly the amounts were correct but the unit names were in the wrong place. Thank you for explaining that. Blood angels are still the best value of the space marine options.
I've simply decided based upon my own needs for army expansion. I could go for the blood angels box instead but I'd want full 10 man squads of of incursors and intercessors and not the 5 in that box. I find boxes with 5 man squads are a little awkward because if you want to expand the squad you have no real retail options to turn a 5 man squad into a 10 man squad. Unless you buy two of the combat patrol boxes or go looking through ebay.
Everyones needs are different though, just because the dark angel box would be good for me doesn't mean the other boxes are not ideal for other people.
For people wanting to start Tau just get 1 Combat Patrol Box (Ghostkeel, Stealth battlesuits, Cadre Fireblade, Breacher team) the new one sucks imo
It’s definitely a downgrade in terms of building an army from it, although I can see the the new one being more balanced for the combat patrol format with the changes GW have been making to the boxes.
I picked up 2 T'au boxes. I feel it is worth it.
I definitely get that, all really good models for the army. Love the ghostkeel, my second favourite suit behind the riptide!
@@TheCommandPhase Glad I found your channel.
Could you imagine if two people bought combat patrols to play against one another and the first bought admech and the other bought greyknights or custodes. Jesus that would be unbalanced
I'd like to think the changes GW made to unit rules for combat patrol would make it a little fairer, but not sure how they'd deal with all the terminators/dreadknight! Happy to be wrong there as I've not really delved into that ruleset much.
quick answer: all the old ones, none of the new ones, because GW is greedy af
The newer ones are disappointing - I’ll be interested to see what they do with the new few codex releases. Else I’ll have to grab a couple of them before they go!
The dark elder one is defo & the one for gen steeler cult are bof and probably the custods one I'd probably say but I coud be rony tho
I agree, they're all really good boxes and a great start to each army!
Absolutely based takes just try to turn down the music a little bit.
Thank you for the comment and feedback - will take that into consideration for the video I'm currently putting together 👍
8:42 Pretty Crappy Flavour GW delivers. I remeber Getting into the GAME in 8th Edtion. Every Space Marine Faction had so much Flavour. So much Value for 65 to 70€ here in Germany back than (2017/2019?). Every Box had its own cool Centerpiece and Flavour.
This is VAnilla Chocolatte in evevy Pack. Kinda LAME!
38:00 Where are The RUBICS MARINES?
I do find the marine boxes disappointing for the lack of pushing each chapter properly. Space wolves start collecting box with thunderwolves and grey hunters was far superior and more useful for actually starting that force.
@@TheCommandPhase Exactly that! I remember not knowing what to pick back in the DAys. Thunderwolves, Baal Predator Tank...each with a Great Leader and a Squad of Marines. But the Line has Increased.... It got Wider. And maybe that is why we lack some depth.
I don't play. I just collect and paint so they're all worth buying to me.
That’s fair enough!
Hate monopose models compared to some other boxes you get so much more plastic to convert and decorate for the same price
Hope GW stops with then someday❤
I get why they have monopose for introductory sets, but it feels bad for players that want to have more variety in their units.
Plus it encourages you to be more creative and helps building your army
And thats the soul of 40k for me ❤️💜🩵💚
@Yoe-Mama love that!
My friend has bought 6 of the Grey Knights combat patrol..... He is a bit mad.
3 Grand Masters in armor and 3 normal dreadknights is scary.
God damn! I mean it is an exceptional box and I shouldn’t be surprised but my word. He certainly will have more than enough terminators for the current meta!
@@TheCommandPhase i think he didn't want to have to buy more later on as getting the knights this way was cheaper in the long run.
Definitely understandable!
a combat patrol is only 100 euros for me every single one
That’s a good price - is that from your local game store?
@@TheCommandPhase yeah its an online store in the nehterlands they sell combat patrols for just 100 euros
which 110 quide i believe and about 105 dollars
But who is using the field Orfinance teams?
They’ve started popping up in some tournament lists so not completely unusable
Easy the answer is None buy it all second hand or remind yourself that you already have the models somewhere😂
How did you know my pile of potential is that high? 😂
Hello
Hey 👋
Hey 👋
NONE of these are worth the price. Mantic makes comparable models at around half the price. Better rules too...
None because GW sucks and printers exist
The answer is NO. 40k is unplayable and a total waste of money.
My brother in Christ why are you here then
Any hobby will look like a waste of money, it all depends on personal value. $70 for a video game is already considered a "waste of money" by some people, but omst people who say 40k is overpriced and a waste of money usually are people willing to shell that out for a video game.
Thats why I am thinking of getting a 3D Printer... UNLIMITED LITTLE SOLIDER MAN!!! Also this, that, this and that I want to print.
