As soon as you unlock girros. Craft waist and legs for para bonus. Upgrade one girros para weapon as far as you can. Use kulu helmet and leather chest for skills. Para is very useful for breaking monster parts and doing high damage to weak points. The invulnerability of your skills like on SnS works perfectly with para. Sometimes the monster dies without even doing much attacks that can hit you. Works wonders ony Account

You know it's a real Monster Hunter game when if you put three people in the same room, they'll have 5 different opinions on what gear to use. Still, good advice in this video.
Hunter rank 63 here, the best weapon for early and mid-late game is pukei pukei, poison affects all monsters and does a good amount of bonus dmg, the pukei weapons come with good raw dmg too, so its win win, i would recomment using pukei sns with ratha/kulu helmet, ratha mail, kulu/pukei arms, pukei waist and ratha/diablos boots. The problem later on comes with massive health pools and even a good elemental weapon might not be enough, jagras sns grade 7 5/5 is barely enough to take down 7* anjanath, so elemental up is the only option for those weapons, but each element has different armor pieces with those skills, while fire is super easy to get +4, water and especially thunder and ice are nearly impossible to get without sacrificing other very valuable skills.
That's just how poison works in general. Almost everything in MonHun is affected by it. Just some take more damage and have a lower threshold to hit before the poison damage ticks. When it says a monster is weak to poison, it means it will be easier to poison and deal more damage with each tick.
Poison damage scales with the monster's life, at low levels you won't notice it, but at high levels (6 or 7*) it helps a lot to continue advancing in the game, especially when you hit that wall where you must raise your weapon at level 6. Now, only with grade 5 (Rathian) weapons can I hunt 7* monsters
Instead of keeping your leather headpiece I’d recommend not wasting resources on that and going straight for the Kulu headpiece since you can get the Lock On ability which helps you go straight for breaking monster parts like their tails for example, snagging you even more monster materials which are vital for early game upgrading and over grading.
@@Zypherfox1 sure gyro is a thing but Lock On is superior since your Hunter will only go for the targeted limb. Gyro is good but I find it a bit harder to keep track of monsters attacks since your camera becomes fixed behind you.

I just hit HR20 and I've literally crafted every piece of armor and every weapon. something I don't see many people mention is that you can charge your super attack on smaller monsters while also farming zenny and xp. I do this a lot when I'm working towards crafting or upgrading a gear set.
Can someone help me? I have kulu head, boots, gloves, and long sword. For chest, it's the leather one, and jagra belt. I'm planning on upgrading those until grade 4, except the jagras.
Try out the other weapons on puny monsters and get a feel for what you want to focus on. Read their FAQ on how each weapon works, they have hidden features. You're not going to have the resources to make very many different weapons, it's best to have a couple strong ones. Elemental part of attack = 0 if that monster isn't weak to it, so keep that in mind choosing a weapon. People still say elemental is the way to go over raw only. Your armor choices will be affected by your weapon choice. Sometimes the skills that help a weapon don't show up until later. You are going to end up frankwnsteining armors. Unfoetunatly a lot of the prettier armors aren't the better ones. I hope they are cosmetic later because you do need to optimize skills. 5 stars is when the game starts kicking you in the face and you gotta slow down and make sure you are playing with skill. I can see some skills are obvious for specific weapons, but I'm wondering about others. How good is Defense? Health? Evade Extender? Rising Tide? Last Stand? I'm going to try out Divine Blessing. I'm trying to be more defensive, since it's hard not to get hit sometimes. I've been mostly using SnS. There are a lot of skills to fill various weapon bars faster too. Or you can go for crit. In most games crit is better for weapons that hit more frequently versus slow big hits? I don't know.
Now that we have gotten some months on the game, what do u think is the best basic armor set now? I suck at figuring all that out! 😂 I mainly use the SNS.
save zenny what? i have like so much zenny idk what to do with it and ive wasted it on so many weapons that i dont even use. my biggest issue is i dont live near a park so i dont have any resource nodes near me and i have trouble just getting basic materials like iron and mach ore so overgradign equip takes forever
The lock on skill is extremely useful to break parts more efficiently and get more parts per hunt. Dont worry about getting Cs or As in your hunts, its actually meaningless, taking your time and breaking parts is way more rewarding.
I have only built the minimum armor for rathios. Use basicly all kulu set just because its easy for me but there still just lvl 3 not focuing to much because i really dont get hit. I only have 3 built wepons to almost lvl 5. I have over 35k zenny.
Kulu helm is a good armour piece, and youre required to build it. Also you need 15 pieces of armour crafted to make the paulo coil, so saying not to build and save money doesnt work
It's the perfect formula for this AR game genre for me. Pokemon go felt too clunky and slow to just pick up and play on a morning walk with the catching and I didnt want to fork out for an auto catcher as a casual. Now I can go for a brisk walk, slap some small dinos, gather real quick, and paintball a few big boys if I dont feel like stopping. so good, cant wait for new content

I've been playing for a couple weeks now and it felt like Zenny were practically infinite. i was really limited by parts and gathering materials while there were so many special quests my Zenny's just kept going up and up so I stopped paying attention to them. Today I realized I had 40 Zenny and I've long since completed all the extra quests just having story and dailies now
Zennys will always be a problem but it gets better when you start offloading materials from item boxes. We also get monthly events that give us a ton of zennys :)

Attack 1-2-3 Sheath into Io stance wait for monster to move and release-releasing Io slash back into combo until helm breaker is ready if you count seconds until the monster attacks you’ll know when and which attack coming. Io stance is your best friend it mitigates damage and causes a decent chunk to them in return.
Combat is solid, sure. But be warned this is not a real monster hunter game, or even close. A MH game, you can spam a certain monster over and over because you can practice and learn the monsters moves and eventuallu git gud, right?? In his game, it's just luck and the hassle of traveling outta your way to find the appropriate monster to maybe get the materials you need. (You're most likely to get level 1 and 2 materuals, even from 5+ star monsters) Don't feel bad when you're uninstalling the app around HR30. Point is, hopefully we get remote co op hunts where we can filter monsters real soon.
I mean… sure it’s not a 1/1 recreation of the monster Hunter experience but all the fundamentals are here. I’d argue this format was done better than the mainline games in how the monsters are actually in an “overworld” and you have to actually go and HUNT them down which is something mainline monster Hunter games just been failing to do. Mainline MH is just, click quest, Queue for Quest, kill monster rinse repeat etc. I hope the franchise would adopt this idea of actually tracking down Monsters like you do in NOW. Also no dude this game isn’t luck based all you have to do is go to the monster you want to hunt. This is a Niantic game after all and I think it blends well with the franchise.
It's Percentage based actually. The higher your HP above 100, the more above 30 you need to get out of the Red flashy danger status. Small example is if your max HP is 100 then you need to be at 30 to fight Large Monsters, then if you get up to 110 max HP, you'll now need to be at 33 HP in order to start a Large Hunt, and so on.
For anybody that wants to jus sit at home and play, just use a gps overlay so you can go anywhere in the world, only problem is when using the joystick to movw while your playing, the game might hinder you with driver warning
I wouldn't advise you to do so. Nyantic permabanned accounts who did so in pokemon go, and given that we don't have resources trading between accounts you could really put yourself in a pickle. It's not like we can farm on one account and give it to another

If ur phone has the gyro feature you can aim by tilting your phone. I do that half the time and am focusing on armor skills

Focus on the monsters movement habits, they will not glow red all the time before they attack.

Kulu greaves is a great option for crit. Pukei has focus skills if you main weapons that needs to charge
