- Visiting El Chapo's in Maitland, NSW to beat the record for their Godfather Burrito Challenge! Hungry fans of Tex-Mex faire have only 45 minutes to finish a 2kg burrito loaded with rice, beans, veggies, cheese, and a meat of choice, along with a pile of chicken wings, and loaded sweet potato fries. Winners earn their burrito plate for free, and a crisp polaroid photo on El Chapo's Wall of Fame! With the record standing at only 20 minutes, could I top the leaderboards?!

I can't help but feel they spiked the difficulty with the amount of rice in the burritos. No burrito should have that much rice.

The only problem I have is that this business owner--who fled the cartel violence in Mexico for a better life in the U.S.--then names their business and one of their signature dishes after one of the most violent cartel bosses in history. No different than immortalizing this creature in "corrida" songs by Mexican bands. Talk about tone-deaf.

Katina - Australia is a melting pot. We make exceptional Mexican food and definitely did NOT need the invasion of Taco Bell (already had the far superior Guzman Y Gomez) Or Starbucks or any other American chain really! Don't underestimate down under!

I understand what you mean about finding good Mexican food. I moved to Whidbey Island from central California and I have had people ask me if there is good Mexican food here, I'm like "man there are barely any Mexicans here!" So when my mom comes to visit, she is half Mexican and half Navajo, I love to tease her about how much she stands out and people wonder why she so dark. She just stares at me and says to shut up.

I couldnt do that. Way to go on the win. Meat, cheese and quacamoli are iffy for me along with the sweet potato fries. I have irriable bowel syndrome-constipation. Effexor helping me with the constipation part
The original burrito has no raice, but a lot more of meat lml like "Los Percherones" burrito's chain. :) I recomend La Mommia, with the outside wrapped with bacon
