You broke my heart a little bit when you said don't buy the dictionary. Looking up words alphabetically is a great exercise for the brain and also some classes do not have tablets and internet. I guess I'm just old school but I love a book in my hand. Love your videos and energy!
sadly, i bought my daughter a dictionary and thesarus, she preferred using the internet. times have changed
I have a dictionary collection. Expert level book nerd over here 🤣🤓 📖
I said the same thing. I will never forget the "dictionary" lesson my instructor provided when I was attaining my teaching certification. I have several types of dictionaries at home now (as opposed to just one). My cyber students even practice dictionary skills now. It holds more power than google.
I am hoping to get a big, hardcover dictionary when I'm financially able. With all the censorship and making up definitions going on, it's going to be crucial.
@@Yesica1993 hit up thrift stores and yard/garage sales. We have 2 unabridged dictionaries in our house, and I think we paid $3 for one for the family, and our oldest daughter paid $5 to have one for herself.

Your pencil tip is spot on! Ticonderoga are the best, and my dad used to help me paint my pencils a blush pink so I would know they were mine and no one could steal them. ❤️

Yes, they are the best. My job has them. We were in Walmart yesterday and my son said those are the best, and he wants for back to college.
i put a ring of washi tape just under the eraser on mine. for whatever reason, we had a pencil thief at work for awhile. after i switched to a different building, my former boss found some of my pencils and sent them back to me.
I loved them for my kids. I’m going to get them for my grandkids.

I just bought three of those dollar tree pencil sharpeners for my kids. My daughters love them!
I was skeptical when we bought one but it works really well! I was impressed! Just make sure you hold onto it when you sharpen your pencils. 😆

Dollar tree has a nice bin in the automotive section that I use for batteries. It's great for AA, AAA, 9V batteries! Has compartments to keep batteries separated!

@@tracywalters4405 it wasn't advertised *for* batteries. I saw another TH-camr (don't remember who) mention it. I found it in the automotive section.
I don't see a way to add a picture. It measures 6x9x2. It's clear with compartments.
So sad that didn't work for us, the dollar tree plastic bin pops open and the batteries fall all over the floor! 😭
I have used Dollar Tree batteries for a couple years now & they are the BEST! I am a van dwelling nomad & in my new lifestyle, I use a lot of batteries for puk lights (from Dollar Tree), ukulele tuners, flashlights (from Dollar Tree), etc etc.
I'm 63 yr. And still love school supplies. Got the whole strawberry collection at D.T. for me!

You won’t regret the battery organizer! I ordered one from Carol Wright and LOVE it! My husband teased me about buying it but he loves it too now. You can tell at a glance if you need to stock up on a certain size and your extras aren’t rolling around in your junk drawer!

I have 6 out of my 10 grandkids still left in school! I like buying quality over cheaper, items usually last longer. Walmart is usually my go to place. DT does have some good stuff, you just have to compare.

Kathryn thanks for all the tips. I got composition books for .50 at Walmart on sale and glue sticks .50 as well as other school supplies. We do get the higher priced pencils as well as markers for better quality. Summer has flew by. Take care and God bless you all. 🌺💖🌺

I was eyeing that pencil sharpener for some time but was worried it wouldn't work well- so glad to see it works great! Those composition books from the Dollar Tree were adorable! I haven't written with a pencil is so long and I don't know why- they seem to be a better option so you can erase mistakes. May have to pick up a pack of those too😂

I love the Battery Daddy! They had it at Costco awhile back! It’s so handy!! Defiantly a great purchase!
The Battery Daddy is hands-downy favorite way to store batteries. So easy to see what we have and to grab them. I love learning about the white bins at Walmart. I previously got that style from IKEA for around $7-10. I’m not a planner person. Refusing to buy them was liberating!
