Everytime I wanted to buy a new club, I should get back to this vlog again. My clubs were newer than yours, but I barely scored under 80. Poor me.

Ping irons are the bomb.
Edit: this challenge was a great idea. Equipment is important but a good swing is much cheaper.

The accuracy with your zoom in after a shot to track the ball amazes me. I can barely track it while I golf myself let alone through a camera lens.
These guys show us all that it is the QUALITY OF STRIKE that really counts!!
Somebody turned in that aged lady aka Great Big Bertha looking for "more distance?"
And although now OVER 20 years old, Rick hits it almost 300 yards!!
This is an amazing series of videos.
Two GOOD players show you that in the end, it's the ball striking PLUS good (and not neccessarily NEW) equipment, that makes the difference!

Pete. Old clubs, modern balls, i think we've stumbled onto something here! A box of prov1s under my arm and a trip down to oxfams, for some old clubs. I'll see you on the course. Fore!!!!

Get that Scotty in the bag Peter! Second hand is the way forward. I'm on my third set of Miura forged TM TP forged irons. New shafts and grips and lofts and lies adjusted. Hard to find any better irons today. TM R11S with a Graphite Design shaft which I still stripe it past any of the new ones. Love these vlogs!

I find it a bit funny how amazed you guys are that you can play decent shots with old clubs :-) I think with all the constant silly talk about technology this and turbolators that in golf clubs, people forget that this sport is about hitting a ball with a bat... It's not rocket science and the clubs simply can't do that much for you.

I love these English golf courses - much more than ours here in the US. They just seem to have more character and less nonsense in their design. What happened to Rick on those last three holes? Time for a nice pint of Bass and some reflection before the next three.

I just found your channels and I must say the two of you work great together, lots of fun and lots of information as well. Do you have any suggestions on second hand clubs that would benefit a 24 handicap golfer? I'm trying to get better but better clubs may help as well.
Pete, I think it's a sign. You destroy your Putter and Driver, and end up hitting the 2nd hand driver better. I also think you should bag that Scotty. I think this is the best I've ever seen you putt. #gamer

I didn't replace my mizuno f50 fairway woods until I was so embarrassed about how used they looked...they were great fairways...easy to hit and I could hit them really well...bring em back I say 👍

I used to own both those drivers at different times. I have regretted for years getting rid of the FT. And it still looks good.
It's funny how they're using 2nd hand clubs but yet those clubs are better than mine!

Just to give you a benchmark guys we had EuroPro Q School on the New Course at Burhill yesterday and today, the winner shot a 7 under par 65 to win it today! There was also a 17 year old amateur who shot a 6 under 66 yesterday! So that's what your up against :)

Reminds me of one of my first rounds in 1996 when I borrowed one of those drivers. Nailed it every time and was instantly in love with the game.
You can rock out the Ping eye 2, and a bronze putter and nobody would ask why you use old golf clubs.
