The legend of Class VII begins anew in Trails of Cold Steel III! Rean Schwarzer, a hero of war, has become an instructor at the newly-opened Thors Branch Campus, and must prepare the fresh recruits of Class VII for an unknown future. @@ledomajka2592 Nihon falcom is the company behind the trails series and Ys series (plus more but these are their biggest two)
If they could upgrade their engine(in terms of visuals), i think they would get more recognition
@@JacobOlli that's the problem of ppl now days, they all can't live with realistic graphics. making hard for smaller companies to develop themselves.

I've been playing it for few days and I still get that warm fuzzy feeling when you see familiar faces again. The world and characters feels so real and its like we're really going back to school/adventure with our friends and family!

@@locked89 I agree, we made so much progress with the Vita and PS4 JRPGs getting localised. But with the censorship ect it really feels Sony doesn't want us customers or the people who make those games.
@@Infelious I don't worry much about the censorship as it's damaging just EXTREMELY niche games. Stuff like Persona 5 R is getting out without anything being censored.
My problem is with Sony not buying any jrpg exclusive, nor producing its own. 20 years ago we had The Legend of Dragoon from Sony. Now the most japanese and rpg-like stuff we get from them is Bloodborne (which is a great game, but not a "jrpg" in the classical sense. More like a wrpg made by japanese).
@@locked89 yeah I know what you mean. I'm pretty sure shuhei yoshida said we might see Japanese/Asia acquisitions which could mean more jrpgs for now we have persona 5 royal and ff7 remake to look foward too.

Sub Noxious yeah saw that too. But I really wanna use my old save data, it would feel wrong if I don’t. So I’ll keep up the wait for a PC release
@@sirmcdust5572 If I remember correctly, our save data on CS2 won't carry over to CS3 since it won't directly continue on where we left off.

It's a bad time to be a broke and unemployed fresh graduate.
I have TOCS decisive edition for PS4 TOCS 2 for PSVITA and I want this one once I complete both.
Never played trails of cold steel. Funny thing is, I bought a combo pack years ago for the Vita, so I own 1 & 2. Just never got around to playing.
I don't want to finish it yet, knowing that localized ToCS 4 is not yet announced. Here's to hoping it releases next year 🙏
Haven't played the previous ones, but playing ToCS III's demo really got me hooked up. Definitely getting all collection of this amazing JRPG, besides it's a turn based, which I like much more than an action based. Looking forward to it!!!

what i hate is, i need 3 week for the shipment come to my house, even i preordered it few months ago
Happy it finally got localized, however, *since I have all previous installments on PC,* I will choose to hold off on buying it for now (since I have other games to keep me busy at the moment) and hope that the PC version gets released soon after!
There is no carry over data, so you can just support nisa now by buying cs3, so that they know we want cs4 ;)

Hi guys, is it better to play it in japanese dub or english dub? What would you guys suggest? 🙂
English. There are occasions where characters will talk off screen with the game hiding their names from you. If you are using English voices then you can recognise the voices
@@wrongtree4975 You can recognise their voices in Japanese aswell, you get used to them in the same way. I'd say picking the voice acting is a matter of preference over all but the emotions and acting of the Japanese voice actors is more accurate to how the game should be viewed. Atleast thats why I always use Japanese voices, localisations don't come across the same way for various reasons.

I want to know if our version is exactly like the Japanese version except translated into English.
Or has nisa changed somethings or censored others for our version.
Also reviews I have read that it's not fully voiced. That sometime characters will be voiced then halfway through the conversation will not be voiced and sometimes not all characters will be voiced during a conversation.
I love the series but I don't want to get a game that feels incomplete.
what I can assure is cold steel 3 and 4 are not like the primary versions of cold steel 1 ps3 and ps vita, where Rean is not voiced in a lot of scenes and the other characters are voiced in the same scene. Don't know about cold steel 3 but I see in cold steel 4 japanese final bonding points where Rean is not voiced and the other character is voiced, so if the japanese version is like that the english version will probably be too. Then again the voice acting is just a extra and is not important all the time on this series.

You are right the voice acting is not important to series all the time. It's just a nice little addition. I've been playing games before there was voice acting. It's just something nice to have sometimes.
