You have my sympathies. This game might have the name of Final Fantasy, but it plays nothing like one. Sad to see my fav JRPG series turn into a Devil May Cry knockoff. If you want to compare gameplay, try any Final fantasy between 7 and 10 to see how the series used to play.

Just finished the demo and eikon challenge. The game feels like they dropped game of thrones in gptx. Generic to say the least. But it looks like it's just me.
Why is there so many loading screen cutscenes you have to walk through? Surely the PS5 can manage more than one little circle arena before ducking under the next piece of wood or squeezing through another tiny gap to get only one item, that's gonna get real tedious real fast

Demo is literally just a movie that you're forced to mildly interact with. The first Eikon fight? Literally didn't press a button and it just played out on its own anyways lmao Completely agree combat is just button mashing. Whitcher 1 had more indepth combat. Also insanely easy too. Just spam dodge and you're untouchable....
why the lord's companions aren't helping ? they just make one simple attack and then they move backwards ? unlike FFV remake, Cloud's friends were extremely helpful and in non stop action .
Man this demo has so many cinematics, maybe it's Final Fantasy DNA to have more cinematics (because I've never played a Final Fantasy game before) but it's irritating to me.

More crappy 3rd-person, action-game crap mixed with boring AI partner-strategy. Same garbage that started with 12, intensified with 13, and reached its ennui-inducing apotheosis with 15 and 7 Remake (15 especially - those beautiful, empty, empty, boring car rides).

Couple things. They are playing mighty boring. Also, after you beat the entire demo you unlock a second demo later in the game where you have way more unlocked and can switch stances and what not. This is a very early flashback

Just very beginning of the game but it brings a lot of emotions. Gameplay is so smooth and fire.

Demo is great. Performance mode needs some work though.Drops to the 40s.
Never dropped during combat though. Most of the places it drops are totally negligible, except the front of the castle where it was noticeable.
