"My warm up was sort of half done" does a 1234 run up the whole neck like a guitar god, and then starts out with with a song that is played at over 300 pbm... Out of all the bands I discovered in the last year, this band tops them all. I kid you not, I listened to Relentless Mutation and bought the glow in the dark shirt right after. For Christmas my girlfriend bought me the CD! After all this I find out their Canadian like me. Enough said.. One of the best bands on the planet !,,!
And their albums are getting better not worse upon each new release. Let's hope it keeps going that way. Relentless mutation is and will probably always be one of my favorite tech death albums.
Rings of Saturn would be a fun way as well! To be honest, if you learn tech death and flamenco proficiently you'll become one of the all time greats haha, they are probably the most difficult types of guitar style to play
Gerardo Amaro as if, most of that shit is just impossible, seriously I admire anyone that can play more than 2 of their riffs cause I sure can’t I learned the main involuntary doppelgänger riff really quick (minus the string skippy part) but I still can’t play the opening to the aftermath
1:15 into the video. Thats when Dean does something that makes him smile for how smooth he pulled it off, and enjoys that for a moment. Best thing in this whole video.
i play ciasslcal music on the piano and i can appreciate Archspire spending so much time in using real music techniques to produce beautiful minor songs. This is art
Dude I've been at your show at Dynamo Eindhoven and was just standing there in awe of your skill. You make me want to quit playing guitar because this level is just through the roof. Keep it up man, im moving on to vocals! ahah
Bultron La Gore Lars Ulrich begs to differ, literally the only reason he pulled off songs like Damage Inc or Dyers Eve was the mountains of cocaine they all did in the 80s lmao
Dean... you really should throw up some playthroughs on par with that of your Scream Feeding upload... I love that song and your playthrough is more enjoyable to listen to than the actual song. Your playing is clean as fuck bro, the fact that you're able to play so fast yet so accurately is a testament to your talent and dedication to the craft. Keep up the hard work and bring Archspire to Florida some time.
Dean you remind me of my social teacher in high school, I loved her class because I could come in fritzed to high heaven and she never looked at my eyes.
I know this whole thing is impressive, but the way you seem to meld with the guitar is the most impressive part to me. like that part at 2:30, it appears the guitar is just an extended part of your body, it looks so natural. effortless.
The one guy seen reminds me of all the times I tried to play metal pieces I learned for my dad and he always wanted me to play it clean. Distortion was like an unwanted cousin to him.
This song has for sure made me a much better player, love Archspire! I kind of play some of Dean's and some of Tobi's parts (basically whichever part sticks out more in the song) and I am at that hammer on string skipping craziness before the melodic interlude. I want to learn some stuff from the previous album next.
From a different perspective this sounds very similar to classical music arrangements, or even pre-classic J. S. Bach era. Maybe my ears are very eclectic but that is what I hear.
Honestly, the most impressive thing is how clean all these notes sound. Too many bands that are much less extravagant and fast and parts of their guitars are lost in the mix and you’d need isolated tracks to hear what is being played. Like... how do you even do it?
I only these kind of caffeine sweats/cardiac arrhythmia listening to Bach organ music or Archspire. This band will lead to my death! - so long as I remember never to listen to them on the toilet, why the hell not?!
This is what happens when your bard puts all their stat points into dexterity
Dude I feel like only people who play RPGs or mmo's will understand this
You deserve a gold star.
LMFAO

Haha
Hahahahaha fuckin truth
Look up, look down, close your eyes, whatever you do DO NOT make eye contact with the crowd.
Wag head side to side..... look at ceiling
It looks like you are just playing to this one old guy in a room
"YOU WANNA BE A STAR KID?"
Plot twist: This was just this guy's masters thesis, filmed by someone
and a leg
When your grandpa's asked you to play something you've learned in music school
Im pretty sure learning the main riff to this song made me a better guitarist
Sean Ritenour tech death will definitely improve your technique and overall playing for sure. It kinda forces it on you.
learn anything by them and Necrophagist and you're going to be fine.
C R don’t forget Origin

Those lightning quick pick up switch changes are incredible
one that can play from 2:28 to 2:35 is already a beast at guitar
Thanks!
ive learned it today
@@Maffs then you are a beast for sure
Respect for those pick up switches. I find them crazier than the actual playing haha. Really enjoyed the video :)
I was literally about to say that. Thats nuts lmao.
I love how the grey haired man shakes his head in disbelief.
Because I still do the same thing and I have been a fan for 5+ years.
The absolute best technical writing in history. These guys break the glass ceiling
Incorrect. First fragment blows these guys away when it comes to technicality
@@serpentinefire921 Fair enough, I'll take a listen.
The laptop managed to keep up with your groove . Impressive
this song is a masterpiece in my opinion
the riffs the speed and so damn creativ

35 years old and been listening to metal since I was 8. This was my favorite album of 2017.
It's absolute freshness. Nothing like this since the late 80s.
I will never get tired of this song
I’m pretty sure I’ve watched this 100 times.
It’s raw and technical I love it
this is more than awsome ! we also need a DRUM clinic ... thank you all !
Didn't know Matthew Santoro could rock so hard!
All seriousness this video was awesome good job dude

Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
-Rick James
Drugs are not needed to play like this.. It’s called Practice, Practice and more Practice. Cocaine would only prevent you from playing like this.
Bultron La Gore Lars Ulrich begs to differ, literally the only reason he pulled off songs like Damage Inc or Dyers Eve was the mountains of cocaine they all did in the 80s lmao

I'm getting my 7 string customized and when it's back from the shop I will work day/night to learn this
It's Legator, not Keisel ;)
Beato looking on in appreciation! You've really made it!
I love the older guy on the left periodically shaking his head in disbelief lol.
Dean you are such an inspiration
Please post more of these!
I'm calling the cops
🤷♂️
Dean Lamb you broke the speed limits
Well done - sharpness is on point. You had one job.
Can we get a count on how many times Dean "Checks" his volume knob during this performance?
So goddamn good though
Lol
The loss of any gain is completely unacceptable and i hope that volume knob was utterly terrified to move
I might be wrong but he's constantly changing the pickup selector, not volume knobs.
@@incongruous4 he's definitely doing that too, I was just referring to a video when Dean talked about obsessively "checking the knob"
amazing!!!!!
;)
Génial!!!!!!
Sweet baby Jesus 🤣 this is just pure madness at its finest 🤘🤘🤘
The guitars were so loud, I couldn't hear this guy playing his bass.
If I had to compile a top ten list of deserted island songs, Involuntary Doppelganger is one of them.
God, this track is so awesome
The pickup swaps tho lmao

But you have Hybrid Nightmares...

But can you play 'Hello' by Lionel Ritchie

good work man... fun song
by the end of a set i bet your pickup selector switch is begging for mercy

That sideways classical vibrato in the solo is lush. Don't hear that one too often!
Look he is having fun
How isn't anyone losing their mind
Holy shit! I thought the video was fast forwarded
You play the riff starts from 2:28 by index and pinkie finger?
It is diminished, and the octave higher.
Arifeewan Azman I’m talking about how Dean move his finger between 8th & 6th strings. It’s so difficult to do with index and pinkie.
I can kill gods if soundtrack would be like that.
What scale length and what gauge strings please sir!
