Nice! To begin with I love this format of videos learning so much. Second the target focus and doubles drill are magical. Now the question: Is “color confirmation” similar to front sight confirmation?
It means observing the color of the red dot or the fiber optic sight being roughly where it belongs. As opposed to not seeing the color because either you're not noticing, or because it isn't anywhere near where it should be.
I agree and I also think it refers to not over aiming, if that makes sense. He’s describing taking your shot the moment you recognize color of your sight on the right area, but not staring forever until the dot doesn’t move at all. It’s about finding the acceptable level of visual confirmation to achieve the expected result (a-zone hits) as fast as possible, and becoming aware of your boundary between success(accuracy) and failure when shooting rapidly. Personally I’ve discovered I waste time over-confirming what I already see and I’m trying to work through this and not sacrifice accuracy.
The more you train the more that changes. Used to be only 3-5 yards for me. I can index hose out to 10 now consistently with several month of training.
He’s mentioned in the past he tries to mimic the most common pistols others are using. So if he’s shooting with Leo/military class he shoots Glock. If he’s training competition shooters he’s shooting his shadow 2
I believe Tesla will not test or train the humanoid robot outside of Tesla for a few years. It will likely be used be used to manufacture mega pack and power wall first.
Could you explain what dot press means? Is something like you spend more time ensuring the dot is on the spot you are looking at because it’s further away?
He’s specifying a confirmation level. Color confirmation means that if you see the color of your dot on the spot you’re looking at, you break the shot. It looks like a blur or streak because it’s happening so quickly. Dot press means you break the shot once you have the dot itself - not just the blur - on the spot you’ve chosen to shoot. It happens to take longer because of the actions you’re taking, but you’re not sitting around longer just because you can or have to. You might up the confirmation level for a shot that’s further away or a shot that’s got to go into a smaller area or a shot that’s riskier, maybe there’s a noshoot somewhere.
“In the streets”. lol. Lighten up Francis. He’s a competition shooter teaching competition shooting, go start a “street badass” channel. You can call it “Tim -0.4”
This is an example of the type of instruction that allows you to reach your highest level of performance. Will work in this drill today
Agreed. Thank you so much for all this great information. Very useful stuff on vision, grip, etc said in a way that really clicks with me.
Brilliant demo!
Golden! Thank you very mucg Ben!

@@nathanjames7030thank you!
Ben has said that you see the front site color, like green fiber optic, and it's the same deal.

I confirm dot on anything over 15 feet away index hosing is only useful at distances that you could damn near stab somebody 😂

What Is index hosing ?

Honest Queston. How does a shooter as good as you chose your pistols for the day? I have often wondered.

@@BRUCEstipher Thanks for the detailed explanation! This is definitely an area I need to work on!
4 tenths is killed in the streets.
That’s 4/10 for engaging four targets with two rounds each.
And shooting 4 tenths faster and not hitting is also
