WHAT A BAND...Sykes do all the difference, but also the drumer.Coverdale`s voice is absollutly faubulous...there are no rocck songs like this anymore...
Sykes is so fabulous ...and Cozy at the drums ,,Davids powerful amazing voice ...touched my heart always..Im so glad to had the chanche to live in the 80`´s
What a musical gem🤟🤟 💎 🤟🤘!!! Coverdale and Sykes !! Glad I found this one!! Thanks for putting this up !!!!🐍🎸 R.I.P. master of the drum kit Mr. Cozy Powell
As with everyone else, i love John Sykes guitar playing. Totally floored when I noticed he doesnt use his pinky at all when doing leads! Especially with all those notes. My pinky was twitching just watching that solo lol.
John Sykes is definitely the most underrated and possibly the best guitarist in all of metal. Most people don't realize that the music and guitars on the album that made Whitesnake world famous was almost entirely written and performed by Sykes... Vivian Campbell didn't play a note, although he air-guitared the leads in the videos, and Adrian Vandenberg only played the solo from "Here I Go". I can only IMAGINE a Whitesnake with Sykes and Vai!!!
One of the... there is also children of the grave with Randy Rhoades, Machine gun With Hendrix, Rock Bottom (Ufo), Moonage Daydream with Mike Ronson man it is hard to pick one.
I watched this performed live in Sydney 1994 and he hit every note exactly like the record flawlessly one of the greatest bands I've ever had the privilege of seeing live
John Sykes is one of my favorite Gibson Les Paul players besides Jimmy Page (when he is not teletramping on telecasters), Joe Walsh and Joe Perry. Very underrated and I love all of his work with Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy and his first group Tygers of Pan Tang.
How could any LOSER call this music hair metal. You have a great vocalist and show man with one of the best of all time Mr JOHN SYKES. Coverdale's pride lost him what could have been some of the best rock n roll ever if they continued on .
Of all the songs I've heard in my 30+ years of listening to metal, the solo for Crying In The Rain has one of the best solos ever performed. I'm so glad I got to see them live in Philly back in '87 with Great White opening. I've watched this video at least 20 times and I'm still astounded by the raw talent exhibited. Whomever made this video did an incredible job. It's not perfect, matching his guitar playing note for note with the solo. But damn, it's pretty effffin good! Thanks!
thank you! looking back on it now that this is 3 1/2 years old there are some things I would have done differently and the video quality would have been much better, but I'm glad you enjoyed it.
the 87 album stands the test of time DC may protest but this is the benchmark for all his work with WS I'm sad John never got his day in the sun. These 2 guys created this exception masterpiece...and the fire, heart soul and musicianship John put into it has never been replaced or even equaled despite some hugely talented and gifted musicians... Ted you captured THE DREAM SHOW that never was with the studio version and the blending of the 2 shows BRAVO... RIP Cozy & Jon
Just imagine Coverdale fired this entire lineup just before the big break couple of years later. This is simply the prime Whitesnake, nothing else comes even close
I feel in love with this man just from his sexy voice. If I were to travel back in time, I would like to be at his living room watching him sing all day and all night long...
One of my favorites. John Sykes and Adrian Vandenberg look so much alike, first time I saw Still of the Night I got confused! I knew Sykes left but everytime the camera shot to Adrian...was confused.. 2 beautiful, talented men.
Nice job on the video.. Thanks for posting it! Dont sweat the morons on here pretending their music critics.. It's about jamming to cool music people, quit crying!
Crying in the Rain, one of the strongest guitar solos ever, Sykes plays with such an intensity and power
You must not play guitar
@@ScottHart-y6l That’s why he’s right, because he isn’t a guitar player. They suck at picking out great solos.
John Sykes is a guitar god, period ...he's so unbelievably talented...one of the most complete musicians ever...God bless you Master Sykes..
dagmar977 right
Makes my brain almost melt. God he’s amazing. Every note is perfect
whatever happened to him
It’s the studio recording overdubbed
The best guitar EVER...

I agree that Sykes can play the guitar like a beast but Coverdale’s Vocals are just amazing.
Seriously
Together they are complete
It's the studio version audio.
I Know that dude has the most powerful vocals I've ever heard.
Coverdale wrote this one too, back in 83. Sykes just embellished it a bit for the 87 album. It's credited entirely to Cov on saints and sinners iirc.
the best Whitesnake lineup,,,,Sykes, Coverdale, Murray and Powell...
This was Ainsley Dunbar on drums.
Yeah..mr Powel...Jeff Beck..Rainbow..etc etc
Dio..and who is Don PowerPoint Powel..The drummer in ..Slade..

Probably the best guitar solo of all time! This album was phenomenal!
John Sykes might be my all time favorite guitarist, ...ever.
T Moody definitely in my top 5! Absolutely love his style and sound and overall his touch!
It's so metal! 🤘
The camera couldn't keep up with fingers while he was playing the solo lol

John Sykes riff crying in the rain there no words in the dictionary to describe it awesome what a guitarist
Best song ever and best solo. Love the 80's...
Adriaan Dekker muy bien dicho.
One of my favorite metal solos of all time probably second to Painkiller by Glenn Tipton of Judas Priest
Whitesnake-crying in the rain: Absolute virtuosity !!
Un-Freakin-Believable!
Sykes is amazing!
Sykes is always fantastic and the great cozy powell God bless his soul.

My favorite song off the cd. The guitar solo kicks ass.
As with everyone else, i love John Sykes guitar playing. Totally floored when I noticed he doesnt use his pinky at all when doing leads! Especially with all those notes. My pinky was twitching just watching that solo lol.

@@felipez7113 and anyting by Glenn Tipton with Judas Priest. He was one of the most overlooked talents in the business.
The guitar solo is absolutely freaking baddass- especially when the drums smashes in the end. They don’t make music like this anymore.
I watched this performed live in Sydney 1994 and he hit every note exactly like the record flawlessly one of the greatest bands I've ever had the privilege of seeing live
John Sykes you f❤️cking legend! What a song, what a sound ❤️ no bands come even close these days
David was vocal god
Me and our kid John saw this lineup

WOW !!!
Love this
I met him at the old Hammerjacks in Baltimore back in 1989 when he was with Blue Murder,he was so cool.
That was the best lineup of musicians that Whitesnake ever had IMO. I would’ve liked to have heard DC really singing that.
Sorry his mine. Your going to have to wait in line!!😂
O melhor solo de guitarra da história do rock sendo visto ao vivo
Great song and video, and I love the sound of John Sykes.....
One of my favorites. John Sykes and Adrian Vandenberg look so much alike, first time I saw Still of the Night I got confused! I knew Sykes left but everytime the camera shot to Adrian...was confused..
2 beautiful, talented men.
Badass riffs and that solo!
Whitesnake was so much better then they ever got credit for , got lumped in with all that glam shit , these fuckers rocked 🤘
Such an awesome song! I love it! And this performance was so damn good!

Улетаю вместе со стулом,энергетика сумашедшая.

Bravooooo opasno dobro
great job man, i loved it and I love this song. John Sykes is the most underrated guitarist of that time
Sykes is a MONSTER!
Nobody could have said it better SRV.Agree 100%.I may add that there was real chemistry between those two-DC and JS-
Quebra tudo. SP Brasil.
I added this song from Whitesnake into a playlist that I made on Spotify which is called, "Songs from the past." 👏🏻👏🏻
I love you! 🫰
Agreed Sykes is bad to the core, love his work in Blue Murder as well, he just effing rocks.

realllly great job!!
Sykes....genio de la guitarra...!!
I knew I wasn’t the only one - nice work
This is so hot I just cant function right now 😂
best version of one of their best musics
El batería, increíble....la guitarra impresionante. Inigualable.
angel a secas Cozzy Powel uno de los mejores bateristas de la historia
Busque sus videos , era una bestia
Murió en accidente de auto en 1997 creo
John Sykes, Whitesnake's best lead guitar ever
Didier HORNBECK I agree 110 %.
John Sykes was incredible but don't forget about Steve Vai
@@marksaunders5041 and Adrian vanderberg
mike hell no offense but John Sykes does laps around Adrian Vandenberg not Steve Vai though
Mark Saunders both great guitarist but John Sykes had a better Rock tone in his guitar
Those guitar licks from John are face melters damn , Who plays like that ?
always such an under-rated band
coverdale was my inspiration in the early 80s he set up my business come and get album was my driving force!!
best guitar solo ever, agreed!
I don’t know if anyone has marked, but the audio is the album version.
Anyway, Sykes era was the best ever era for the band, in my opinion.
Thanks for putting an Image with the '87 version!
Rock"N Roll!!
Also he has enormous talent great great guitar player
GREAT JOB!!!!!!
Fucking legendary guitar solo
