My money on the Pegquinet, no hesitation, no regret. Superb design, lovely long hour and minute hands and the much-needed color of the second hand. For me, this movement as well as the entirety of the watch expresses pure passion.
French guy here, happy owner of a Pequignet Royale Manuelle but with the metallic hands ("argent soleillé"). Been very lucky to buy it new before they raised their prices and with a 50% discount (1 170 GBP !). Gorgeous, classy, discreet, speaks to watch enthusiasts. And this in-house movement...
I would much prefer the Pequignet, my only hesitation is servicing. I do not know who or where I could have it serviced vs. the ETA based Breitling can be serviced at just about any qualified shop. I love that Pequignet, it ticks every box, except servicing.
I do understand where your coming from, Servicing it shouldn't be a big problem but getting spares would be, As I remember they do come with a 5 year warranty
That is a nightmare of a question! Brand cachet or knowing yourself about the fantastic movement inside your lesser known timepiece. The honest answer is I'm not sure as both watches are giving you something. The heart with the Pegquinet and the head with the heritage of the Brietling. Aesthetics wise I prefer the Pegquinet so lets go with that, but, not easy!
Both are good watches the Colt is a classic sports model with a great dial and a COSC spec movement and has the name to back it up , Were as the Pequignet is simple beautiful with a more timeless look about it and the problem is a really want one 😁
Pegquinet because it's more unique then this brieghtling. I love the seconds small dial an no lume doesn't bother me at all. 4 days power reserve is excellent. A very handsome watch
Yep I fully agree with you but unfortunately there PR department doesn't have a clue what there doing , I got the models I reviewed because I know there last UK distributer, The company themself aren't interested as I've contacted them to allow me to review more watches but they didn't even bother to reply back to me. Which is a real shame
beautiful in house mouvement vs ETA ? I'll go for the first one ! So Pequignet for sure ! But the Colt is superb. Go for Pequignet if you want a more dressy watch.
I'm lucky and own a Pequignet now the same model but a different hand set , the movement is a work of art and I say that as a watchmaker but I also like the Breitling to be fair Sir
@@ClickSpringReview i live in Türkiye. i guess there are no Pequignet’s around here for now. But if i lived in France, I’d definitely have a Royale. And for Breitling, well, i’m sorry for you mon frer :))
@@ClickSpringReview Nice to hear that kardeş. As for German brands, Glashütte Senator Cosmopolite is one of my grails. The other one is Zenith Doublematic. These are killing me.
@@omur2360 I just reviewed a open heart Zenith the other week beautiful watch and movement , I do have Laco , Nomos as well as the Sinn's but unfortunately no Glashütte
Breitling, Rolex, Tudor, Audemars Piguet (YES!), Richard Mille, Hublot.. i can't fucking stand seeing their stupid, boring, eye-disturbing designs and even using their disgusting names. Always same stupid design, no novelty, too busy dial, too exaggerated. Real, true, elegant watch design always come from brands like Lange&Söhne, Glashütte, F P Journe, some Zenith models, of course JLC and Omega, Breguet. Exquisite design, always in pursuit of better movement and overall quality. And yes, Pequignet is among them too! Lovely brand.

I own and enjoy the Colt but that Pequignet is just something else 😍
Pequinet is incredible value and movement. Would be 2-3x if a name brand

Pequignet has my vote
It is one hell of a watch

Thats excellent they were talking about updating the site
I have breitling colt 41
I do to it’s a great watch I did a review sometime back
Pequignet
Both are great watches but the Pequignet has something special about it ,you feel like it’s a model which is worth 3x the asking price
Colt for me, I'm boycotting everything French made.
Why is that Sir ??
@@ClickSpringReview French intransigence over stopping the dinghies
Me too. Except the cars.
@@amcluesent I thought you were French as you have a french avatar Sir
@@Nils0scar I like French things just apart from there cars lol
Definitely Pequignet. A true movement, elegant design. The other one has nothing to offer for me.
