    Lovely brand! My favorites are the Royale Manuelle and the Paris Royale.

    • @watchartsci
      @watchartsci  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm seriously considering one of the Manuelle... I mean a movement by engineers from Greubel Forsey? That would be sweet, Gilberto! Take care, Bill

    Now this is a brand I know really really well😉👍 Obviously the Rue Royale is my favourite. Greetz Jurre

      Mayday, do you own the Rue Royale? Or is that the one you'd most like to get? Take care, Bill

    I tried one on when I was in Nice. Where do I send it in the states for maintenance? If there is no one in the states who can maintain this movement, is it safe to ship it directly to Pequignet for maintenance?

    • @watchartsci
      @watchartsci  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jonard, you'd have to find a watchmaker who can handle them. Check out some Pequignet online Forums. Take care, Bill

      I see no reason it would be a problem to send it to Pequignet directly. Take care, Bill

    Saw this brand in Luxembourg a few years ago. French watchmaking tends to be underrated/neglected on YT, so thanks Bill.

    Hi bill! have you seen the new "monolithic oscilator" by frederique constant, it substitutes the balance spring. it vibrates at 288,000 bph

      I'm sure it's accurate with a near-quartz frequency, Mijo, but I haven't had a chance to look at it yet. Take care, Bill

    I wish they made a watch in a size I could wear, 42 for a "dress" watch is just too big. Cool watches though, thanks Bill!

    • @watchartsci
      @watchartsci  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I noticed that too Nefarion! Tooooo big! Take care, Bill

      I tried some on today and they wear really well (on my 7in wrist)- I think it’s always important to try watches on rather than go purely by measurements as the skx009 and 45mm sumo are bigger than a Speedmaster but both wear better due to case shape/design (in my opinion)

    Not known to me before. I like the Royal Titane, but at 44mm, it's too big for me.

    They get ZERO points for their website - clicking on a(ny) watch results in "Sorry for the inconvenience.
    Search again what you are looking for" :-)

    • @watchartsci
      @watchartsci  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rene, it's the worst watch website I've ever been to, and most watch websites are terrible to begin with. One trick to use is to click on their search icon (🔎) and enter the model name. The Equus (while not Calibre Royal) is and interesting line ... the Regulator has a Seiko-based movement, and at a very good price. Take care, Bill

    The green Rue Royale looks great and has 100m water resistance at 12.3mm thick, with 88 hours of power reserve. It’s hard to find quality, dressier watches that have 100m water resistance that aren’t an OP.

    • @watchartsci
      @watchartsci  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ced, I had not thought of the water resistance but you are right about the Rue Royale. Good point! Take care, Bill
