My first car was a tall 4x4 72 Chevelle just like that..then I bought some insanely low profile for the era track tires from a race shop over on Tropicana that put it down by the road where it always should have been, and terrorized Vegas. Some massive sway bars, over-rated Moog springs, and gas charged KYB's that were cutting edge at the time (early 80's), and no car my size and very few smaller and lighter ones could touch me in the canyons..

did you use a 15x7 or 15x8 rim in the back? Going to buy some for my chevelle and was wondering if 15x8 would be a little too tight or not

You can fit 315 max on a stock Chevelle 72. I have that on 15x10 with 5.5 bs.
what BS did you choose for the front?

@@olekdah wider wheels my bad i have 16x8.5 and 235s. those 15x8s just seem tiny for a Chevelle. i have 17x9.5 and 17x11 on mine

he could have gone wider...not sure why you made the post you did. Many guys looks of the smaller rims. I personally would want 18x10 on my Chevelle.
