I know this is a bit of a "hasty video" compared to many others but I thought this might be interesting to some people so I decided to post it as a "Quick Ride" episode. So you are welcome aboard the Nomad Sweden T7 as I ramble on about my feelings about it and the bike in general 😄 I hope most of you are not too offended about the low level production/edit on this. Latvia makes one fall in love with Teneres again, haha. Was great to meet you at the Scout again! We did however break the engine of the Enfield, because who checks the oil level, right? 😂
If I'd have to buy a Tenere, I'd go for the Extreme Edition. It has the excellent suspension form the World Raid version I believe, far superior to the lackluster stock T7.
True if you plan to keep the stock shock and forks. But if you plan to swap those anyway then it might be better to just buy a standard bike and start with that.
But if you go with full GYTR suspension setup does it utilize the extreme's KYB fork tubes or are they gonna be swapped anyway. Just thinking if you are gonna overhaul the suspension does it make a difference to go extreme. Of course extreme comes with a few trinkets like better footpegs and the rally seat but that's pretty minor to sway anyway. But for most like me the extreme suspension is probably enough as it is 😄
Ever time I ride mine I feel I won Dakar. Especially if I don't have to go to hospital. Now Safari of Australia has 45 liter twin tank setup. Much lower than factory twin tank with lower capacity like new KTM's. $3500 USD. Plus
I shaved 1cm from my stock seat to lower it (short inseam), but when i add the cheap 3d mesh seat cover on it, just that one cm back higher makes the handlebar feel much better. But I need to reach to floor! damn it
6:12 lol dude! 😂 And I'm afraid I am experiencing same as you did with your T7. I do not feel 100% at home on the bike. My legs feels crumpled while on footpegs and I am only 176cm! Was thinking about getting lower seat to reach the ground more easily, but that is a no-go (still no flat foot I'm afraid and even more crumpled). After watching this video I am now tempted to opt in for the higher seat but my legs will be dangling high from the ground even more! 🤣
True. With our height we just need to learn some tricks on how to keep the bike stable in different situations. Basically move much more on the bike and not just sit on our ass when offroading. Tricks that taller riders never learn! 😂✌️
When you plan or design routes that are not already mapped as a GPX it helps drastically to see up ahead on the tracks especially trying to find new ones. When you zoom out on Osmand and a phone setup the map will not show you the smaller pathways. On the tablet you can zoom and scroll and still see different options that don't get hidden so easily in different zoom levels. Also phone is tough or even impossible to use with gloves on. This is why the mechanical controllers are very nice.
Someday while I am still alive maybe the twin tank world raid will be imported to USA. The lower tank heigth would be welcome from std. model. All good Robert. You all ride safe while you still can

Glad you enjoyed it as much as I do! Your happiness is authentic ❤
I love it! Impossible to not laugh and giggle on a T7 😄
This video has some authenticity in it 😄👍 Hopefully I can join Outduro next year!
You should! It's a great event! I will have a video out from this year soon'ish..

Oh crap! 🤯🤯 That's not good not good at all ☹
Was lovely to meet you too! I hope you get the enfield back and running.

@@PatchedBandit The Extreme Edition almost reaches Tuareg levels of suspension travel. You can tune the stock T7 but it will stay at 200 mm.

That's cool 😁
Perfect - rainy days. You're having fun, all the best to you at Outduro. Günter/Nürnberg

We just need to learn to ride without legs 😅
Question about mic adapter. Realy is better or not priority?
Better than what?
@@PatchedBandit i mean about adapter.
It’s portant or not.
Because at this moment I didn’t have but ussualy camera have issue with mic.
How about steering damper as you didn't have that on your tenere. Did you notice any difference as it was on this bike?
No difference on these normal roads with a quick ride. Would probably need to take it out for some serious riding to feel it.
Asked too early... you commented it later

I don’t like this issues avout mic. When tur on after few second mic start work
I usually don't have the issue either but it was raining all day so maybe the water did something to the connection.
@@PatchedBandit ok. Maybe with adapter don’t have issue 🤘🏻
TENERE BROS.... WE'RE BACK
😂
Hm I use a iPhone 12 mini (5.4") and this is more than enough for me, why would you need a gigantic tablet?

Safari Tanks in Australia have a twin tank now for the standard model. Fuel is much lower.
@@Chris_Z. thanks I will check that out. Sure my bud Dave Darcey would be interested as well. Thanks
8:19 :D
Yeah I F'd up that one 🤣
