I always wanted beats and I waited until they got kinda cheap. I bought this exact kind of beats and color for $129 on Amazon. ( I had a $90 gift card ) so it's original price was $219 but I didn't know it came with a case so I bought a seperate case :(
I bought a black pair last week for $99. Great features, 40 hour battery life, 5 minute quick charge for additional 3 + hours. W1 chip from Apple seamless uses between all your Apple devices. Passive noise cancelling. Sound good, wouldn’t have paid $250 or $300 for them but I wouldn’t have paid that for any headphone. I don’t listen to rap/hip hop so I needed to reduce some bass by turning off EQ on my phone or iPad.
Hey man, are the Momentum 2.0 Wireless better than the Sony MDR-1000x even over Bluetooth with an iPhone? I purchased the Solo3 mainly for its wireless quality and fun sound and it exceeded my expectations, but I'm still looking for a more detail-resolving headphone for the home office.
Sony MDR-1000x. The Momentums are great still, but are a little dated now and the MDR-1000x has a more high detail sound (better technology, also the sound tuning).
Personally, yes. The Momentums are great but they're kind of a one trick pony. With the PXC 550's EQ and FX modes settings, you have a lot more versatility
I think the Momentum can be used with the Captune app, but the customization is limited. For me, the FX modes have more of an effect on the sound than the EQ, but both of them together covers most bases
oh yeah the beats headphone and iphone unboxing are basically the same the plastic, the top peice of the box, the beats at the top, a pulling thing with accessories
yeah for beats headphone's case they claim that it has a break-in period to achieve a better sound. so we'll wait your full covered review on this after a week. ☺
For headphones, it's a common practice to let them play for about ~40 hours or so at a moderate volume (~75%) which allows the drivers to loosen up and settle in. People question whether or not this actually makes a difference, but from my experience, headphones sound different right out of the box compared to after a week or 2 of listening.
***** Lange & Sohne Audemars Piguet id say is my favourite brands for a dress watch. Rolex sports models defo the GMT over the submariner. For the beater work watch i range from Sekio to G shock. I like the Oris Aquis bracelets you get with your watch, makes it very versatile that you can change it to rubber straps and make it a dress/sports watch.
Ahhh AP is a personal fave of mine, would love to own one someday. I love my Seiko Monster! It's a solid value. Yes the Oris rubber strap is a nice change, so comfy for daily wear.
This thanks giving sale at best buy, I compared Beats solo 3, beats studio, Bose QC35 and Senheiser pxc550. To my ears, QC35 was the best and Beats solo 3 was the worst. (in terms of sound quality). In general beats products had great finishing and the most average sound quality.
Having owned all the above, I'd say your assessment is accurate, but the Sennheiser's have the best sound quality IMHO. I just want to point out that the Solo 3 doesn't compete with the other 3, which are all over-ear and the top of the line of each manufacturer. The Solo 3's ON-ear, closed-back design is a real disadvantage to getting a balanced sound. Plus side is the bass is massive when turned up lol
Right now you can get either for about the same price, so for the money, I'd still go with the Studio Wireless IMO because they come with active noise-canceling, and they do have an edge in sound quality with the over-ear design, and are more comfortable to me. The Solo 3 is surprisingly comfy for an on-ear and that battery life is unmatched. Newer technology means more consistent Bluetooth signal and quality as well.
mckawesome777 What I've come to realize is you don't need to hear every nuance all the time. I prefer the sound signature of the Solo3 for casual listening. It's just fun past the point it could be analytical and still be as enjoyable without some serious development into new methods of designing headphones.
thanks for generalizing those who own beats headphones(Studio, EP, Beats X and Solo 3 owner here). I like music, bass, and clean sounds. My money buys what I'm interested in. Oh yes, I'm an Apple fan boy too.
Respect for not completely bashing the sound quality for price :)
Gotta keep it apples to apples!

listening to how the beats are pretty and all, but my eyes are on the watch HAHAHAHA nice watch there :)
Haha Thank you!!!
"These little puppies pack a punch!" 😂😂
Yup!!
So here is my 2 choices from wifey for Christmas. Beats studio 2 wireless $199 or beats solo 3 $219 . which one would be best choice?
I’ve noticed that your Bests doesn’t have a “SOLO 3” printed on the right hinge. Instead there’s only a “SOLO” is this something normal?
I just got my beats. I can't wait to unbox and use it ( gold by the way)
Bose soundlink 2? O This beats?

ODi Productions Thanks for the reply. Do you find the PXC 550 to sound better than the Momentums?
Personally, yes. The Momentums are great but they're kind of a one trick pony. With the PXC 550's EQ and FX modes settings, you have a lot more versatility
ODi Productions I could be wrong but I thought that the Momentums also had support for Sennheiser's EQ app.
I think the Momentum can be used with the Captune app, but the customization is limited. For me, the FX modes have more of an effect on the sound than the EQ, but both of them together covers most bases

Great review (^^) That unboxing game was strong 💪💪 missed the first comment :P
Raj!!! Thanks fam, you'll get the next one I'm sure xD
Can you make a vid comparing the 550's, the QC 35's, the 1000x's, and the Solo 3's?
Planning on it soon! The Solo 3's will not be included as they are on-ear and not over-ears. Beats needs to release their Studio 3 already!
***** Nice I can't wait for it.
Did u get it from amazon ?
Nice man am getting minds on Monday am getting the matte gold
looks like a hybrid on/over ear~yea for no glossy plastics!
Team Oris!! The metal bracelet looks so nice, I wanna switch it up too
yeah for beats headphone's case they claim that it has a break-in period to achieve a better sound. so we'll wait your full covered review on this after a week. ☺
Yep, I always honor the break-in period to get an accurate analysis. Things seem to open up after time.

Do you return the headphones since you already have so many?
I really should...

Much appreciated! It's an Oris Aquis Date. There's a couple videos on TH-cam about it. I'll think about it :-)

Where You Get Your Phone Case lol?
I lonely just like the Powerbeats that's it.. That's the best one to buy.. because they are sweat and water resistant...
Dominick Meade i thought i was the only one watching rn
+Remnant Dreams no
do they work's for android phone
jose perez yes
jose perez not the w1 chip that's a apple only thing but they sound the same on Android
Hello! nice review 🌈 more tech reviews to come ❤️😻
I have over ear headphones and they hurt my ears. Do on ears make any difference?
Dr Kickstart on ears is worse cause they sit on top of your ears
The beats to me describes "fun" not classy or pleasant and i like it cause I'm a kid
these or studio
These last way longer and they sound just about the same.
+Kimberly Campbell If you have an iPhone then the battery life will be 40 hours.
Kimberly Campbell no not really since it sounds identical to the solo 2's
Right now you can get either for about the same price, so for the money, I'd still go with the Studio Wireless IMO because they come with active noise-canceling, and they do have an edge in sound quality with the over-ear design, and are more comfortable to me. ODi Productions ikr also thanks to your review I actually scraped up t money to buy my own beta studio wireless so I just want to share thanks ;)

C R ik right lmao
2020?? Basically 2021
hey am jose
if you have an Android
They still work, it just connects via regular Bluetooth instead of W1, so battery life will not be as long as the 40 hours advertised.
Can you still see the battery percent? On Android?
YASSSS
:-)
Hi
Hi
220$ ?? I thought they were 300$
They retailed for 300, but they're now dropping down to what is a fair market price for them. And yes, got these for $220 flat on Amazon

I wanted to enter the giveaway headphones! Instagram name is jayjessica_
Confirmed
I mean let's be honest people who buy beats like bass, and fashion... not music. They're useless for serious listening.
mckawesome777 What I've come to realize is you don't need to hear every nuance all the time. I prefer the sound signature of the Solo3 for casual listening. It's just fun past the point it could be analytical and still be as enjoyable without some serious development into new methods of designing headphones.
mckawesome777 I don't think that's true I bought beats to hear music
Simply not true. They are great headphones, they are not the Beats of old.
thanks for generalizing those who own beats headphones(Studio, EP, Beats X and Solo 3 owner here). I like music, bass, and clean sounds. My money buys what I'm interested in. Oh yes, I'm an Apple fan boy too.
thats true
