Forgotten Worlds on Genesis isn't so bad once you realize how stupid overpowered the napalm satellite is. Buy it in level 2 and you don't have to upgrade again until the last stage. It vaporizes bosses in seconds.
I loved this game, I could finish it on one credit with a spare life left over. The homing lasers were OP so you could finish the end boss really quickly but you had to save up your zenny.

Back in 90' my grandma would drop me off at the arcade with $2 and go mall-walk. After a month of obsession with this game, I finally beat it on $2 (and whatever I could scrounge out of the pinball machine coin returns)... after another month, I got it down to beating the game on one quarter and would hand the game over to whoever was watching my 10 year old ass save the earth.
The cloud stage (stage 7 I believe, the one with the crystal boss) on Capcom Classics Collection 1 didn't have the right music, instead Capcom replaced the tune with another stages song from the game. Really caught me off guard when I played it and noticed something was a tad off about it, that one stages BGM wasn't right.
One of my favorite childhood game. I was a fan of the 3rd round boss because he was a mix between Taurus no Aldebaran and Raoh. The amiga version had some great ost...Too bad it had only 4 stages.

When I was 7 or 8, I got my parents to buy this for me while we were at a flea market lol. It took me forever to find it again just now because I forgot the name and my memory mistook it for an snes game. Switched to looking for Sega games and bingo, there it is.
I used to love this game. One of the few arcade games I could finish at the time. (It's a little painful to watch others play, though, since they choose very different weapons from the ones I used to buy. The Dustdragon is extremely easy to beat with the Napalm Bomb, while the Laser or the Flamethrower takes out the War God pretty quickly, but this video uses the V-Cannon for so much of the game it hurts) Edit: Oh, geez, and then when he finally switches weapons, it's the Super Laser. The first boss he fights with it, he positions the Satellite so that it never hits the boss; the second boss he fights with it, who he actually hits with it, is IMMUNE TO LASERS. This whole run is becoming painful to watch. Edit again: Wait, then he fights Raiden and Fuujin (Laiden and Whodin) by NEVER TURNING TO AIM AT THEM? He spends the whole fight shooting directly to the right. A lot of the last stage is done the same way, with him shooting straight up most of the time. So, my final conclusion: painful to watch. I wish I had a Forgotten Worlds arcade machine (or a version of MAME where it worked).

Forgotten Worlds also has better logic than Final Fight. In this game, there are shops between each level. In Final Fight, the only shops they have in Metro City are garbage bins.
I've played this game and completed (i took a lot of damage but i was playing it throught the Capcom Classics Collection disc for the PS2 meaning that if i died i could just keep pressing the start button because back in the 80s if you had enough loose change then the game basically gave unlimited continues like the 1988 Japanese Famicom release of Super Mario Bros 2) but i was so excited when i got to see the ending. This Game is Hella immersive.
They have this game at the arcade place called starcade in rosedale mall (Roseville Minnesota) it’s a pretty new arcade I’ve played it on the capcom arcade stadium both on my Xbox series x and my Nintendo switch lite and bested it like 3x for practice. the soundtrack on the clouds or snow is pretty awesome I’ve yet to play this game personally in the arcade at Roseville I need the challenge on my end. Amazing Playthrough, you make it look all to easy, when in fact this game isn't that easy. You have to have the right weapons and upgrades. If you don't FW will hand you your ass.. FW also has a amazing soundtrack, another capcom banger!
The monster the yellow orange momaster reminded me of the the dead space monster at the end of the game stuck too the wall same thing with resident evil 4 monster

I only had one controller for Forgotten Worlds. Golden Axe - yeah, I did beat them all when I got older, cause I couldn't do it as a kid.
