I’m not gonna lie, this phone looks great for the most part. If they had added an oled display, it’d have been perfect. The more I see this design, the more it grows on me. I dig what Motorola has been doing with the vegan leather backs on their recent phones. Big battery, wireless charging, and a fairly decent processor. This is a win for Motorola but they should’ve added longer software support.
The reduction of internal memory from 256GB to 128GB is pretty big bummer for me. How does the phone otherwise compare to the 2023 Power 5G?
You can add an SD card of your choice up to 1000GB
Why would you even need that much storage for your phone? At that point just use a micro sd card.
@@Raddish-IS-Radd, large amount of high resolution photos/videos.
I have the 2023....it's not great. The touch screen doesn't always work, no nfc on it either.
My previous moto G was great.
I am considering a revell
He didn’t mention that the storage is expandable. It’s very annoying when reviewers just gloss over this great feature.
What I like about it is that it has that live caption in the video but you can't move apps to SD card
Anyone else worried about the camera on the Moto G Power 5G? The Dimensity 7020 seems great, but camera quality is important to me.
i have moto g 54 from last year 12 gb ram 256 gb internal memory excelent phone 😁
😁😊😎👍☝️💯🔥
Do anybody want to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior he want to give you love and calmness and salvation and eternal life if you confess your sins
The display looks amazing in this review! How does the 120Hz refresh rate feel compared to older Moto G phones?
Nicely done … it’s only a phone to get if you get it free when you sign up for a new carrier .I wouldn’t pay 300 for this I don’t know who would?
I paid $149 straight from Motorola.
they go on sale often. I wouldn't recommend paying full price for a Motorola phone.
Yeah I got it free from xfinity
I like Mororola phones i have a 5g Stylus 2022. I am a heavy user i don't olay games but i watch movies and TH-cam and stuff like that. For me what matters is the SoC is the Dimensity 7020 better than the snapdragon 695 5g? The next most important is ram i like this has 8GB. I prefer Snapdragon so i am not sure. I can live with it being an LCD for me the SoC the ram and the battery are my top 3 criteria plus when you look at it getting Android 14 out the box and wireless charging too that makes me interested. As for the cameras i just take pics every now and then. I am not too worried. O wanted to know your findings on how well the phone runs. To me i like to improve on what i currently have each time i buy which is around a year to 18 months. I sometimes drop my phone so i don't necessarily want to spend a huge amount on a phone and i like Motorola. Though i have been eyeing the ThinkPhone
What's the best budget big screen phone to get right now?
I got this phone from boost mobile for $10.86, definitely was a good pick
Between this and the thinkphone, which one would be better?
ThinkPhone
Thinkphone is better in every way but doesn't come with a 3.5mm audio jack.
-has 65watt fast charger in box
-oled screen
- super durable/ water proof
-256gb
- better updates and security
- more power and better camera
-case in box(cheap tho)
Do anybody want to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior he want to give you love and calmness and salvation and eternal life if you confess your sins
It is a phone under $300 with 120Hz display, dimensity 7020 and wireless charging, what more do you need.
Is it better than moto thinkphone?
Did he missed the 3.5 jack?
Lineage Os could be a Future for it
No fingerprint reader?
Have this phone, anyone else have problems with reception,5g connectivity.
Would you say the Moto g stylus 5g is better than this? Im leaning towards the stylus
No this is better
@@Lazy943 I was leaning on this one but watching more and more vids, it honestly seems like the stylus is overall better
@@Lazy943 the stylus 5g comes with 256gb and has everything this phone has like the sd Slot and headphone jack. But the main reason why I’m leaning over to the stylus is because the power g doesn’t let you record 4k for some reason. Plus it’s 50$ cheaper.
@@user-tn7fr1mg2l Incorrect the Moto G Power has a better processor, more ram, faster charging, wireless charging. They both have the same screen a headphone jack and micro sd card slot and share the same camera the only thing The Moto G Stylus 5g has over the Moto G Power is a stylus
@@Lazy943 yea there both great phones! I just wish the power g 2024 had 4k recording. Don’t know why they didn’t add that but oh well 1080p 60 is still good
Weird. Where I work the max price you pay is $170, given that price it's basically a miracle price tag for what you get!
They have it at cricket i heard it has wireless charging
Yes only cricket wireless has it
Metro has this phone too but if you're not a port-in it's not worth getting
Im using a 2023, It gets buggy, about time for a factory reset. But looking at the 2024, is there really a reason to upgrade? Or should I just wait for a 2025? The specs are pretty much the same. I say get a 2023, maybe a 2024 if you can find it cheaper. If you need a Good, Cheap, Budget working phone with big battery, grab this. and use it for years. I hope I get another year out of my 2023, If it breaks Ill probably get another 2023.
There’s more RAM on the 2024 model so that alone would make it worth upgrading. Or it at least would make it the better device out of the two. Honestly, if you don’t need a phone immediately then you’d be better off waiting till May 30 to get the new Moto G Stylus 5g 2024. It will be $399 and will have a 6.7 pOled display with wireless charging and the snapdragon 6 gen 1 processor. The only downside is it won’t have an IP rating and will only be “splash proof”. The Stylus will also have 120 Hz refresh rate with that pOled display.
My mom is still using her Moto G Power 2020 model so I'd say keep that 2023 for at least another year or so...but up to you...
Stylus will have issues with charging or length of charge.
Motorola can be a serious contender against samsung's 'A' lineup if they actually stepped up their game and really put some thought and better hardware/features into their Moto G's
Also if they offered longer security updates compared to samsung. I really like motorola but had to switch to samsung due to this factor.
I had the Moto G Power 2020 and it did have an AMOLED screen. I miss it.
The Nord N30 has a SD 695 with less compute performance and comparable graphics to this chip. You can compare scores at notebook check and geek bench.
Also the dimensity 930 (G power 2023) and dimensity 7020 are the same chip. Same GPU. Mediatek just rebranded the chip. The benchmarks are within margin of error. Both on the same process node as well as core architecture. A78 performance cores and A55 E-cores, all on the same clocks.
Benchmark both the moto g 2023 and 2024 side by side. The scores will be verry close.
I have the stylus 2022 5g il ikecit other than camera isn't great .... But for being so cheap has everything
He didn’t mention that this phone has an expandable storage slot up to 1 TB. That’s a great feature that not a lot of flag ships even offer. ALSO, the 8 gigabytes of RAM has an expandable 12 version based on Motorola’s webpage.
The "expandable" just means you can devote some internal storage to be extended memory. But in general it is not worth doing.
Can anyone comment on the camera on this phone
Yep the display is now that great 👍
nice looking phone and good specs for this price point and headphone jack and wireless charging
let's hope your gaming vid with this phone is better.....
kinda disappointed wth this one.
Nfc over rated. Should have put a good snapdragon processor in it. Phone will be in lag city before a year with these mediatek processors in it.
you're a fool ya herd me
These specs are crazy for a $300 phone...first $300 phone I've seen with wireless charging
Good review but the term "this device" was used way too many times
3 years security updates
Thats the same processor that was on the A32 5g
Thick bezels? Really? Sheesh
The phone is really great, and I love the dimensity processor
What sells me is the speakers because I love listening to music! I'm so sick and tired of my Galaxy A14 and its tinny sound, its awful and can't wait to ditch it!
I have that phone and switched to the galaxy a 54 5g. Honestly, I don't like samsung and it's just a personal preference for me. I really wish motorola would step up their game because every since they changed to Lenovo its been a fail.
Just go with the A series over this
Yay Motorola 😎😎
This phone is $9.99 on boost mobile as of right now (May 22nd)
The first thing it's going to get any updates? Moto have a bad reputation even with its flagship phones
Flagships too? That not good at all. I wanted to get a motorola as my next phone
I can say it is better than the Samsung A04 that I had. However, the MotoG is quite different. I had to watch a video to know how to shut it down.
I paid $149 for my phone straight from Motorola. You're nitpicking about this phone. I paid $149 and I'm satisfied esp. since I paid almost the same for a Samsung A04 one year ago and it was crap.
this phone is $150 on Amazon as of May 4th. If there's a reason to get this phone at all over anything else, it's that it costs $150 on Amazon while offering you a 'decent' phone usage.
$59 on Fi
Getting tired of having to recharge my old crappy G6 3-4 times a day, and this one doesn't look like a decent enough upgrade. My old G6 has also always had issues with lousy battery life(3,000 MaH) and the sound raises and lowers constantly. It's actually my second G6 because the first one had a battery that swelled up so much that the phone was popping out of the case! Verizon replaced it and said I was lucky that it didn't explode in my pocket! It's been junk from the start, and it looks like Motorola is still making janky phones. The lack of Android updates has always been an issue too. I think my old phone is still running Android 9.1. Knowing that I can get a Samsung at a similar price that will get 3 Android upgrades, and 5 years of security updates has me leaning toward an A35 or A54 because I still want Gorilla Glass. I've dropped my phone many times on my cement floor, and need that added strength. Cheaper Samsung models don't have the Gorilla Glass, but they are miles ahead of Motorola in long term bang for the buck.
Lenovo as usual went backwards with 128gb storage. For $300.00 Moto could've easily added an AM(OLED) display on this phone. 2023 G Power was better imo. No charger in the box for Moto is just senseless.🤦♂️ I bet the India equivalent of Moto G Power has a wall charger in the box.🇮🇳🤳🏽🔌
It charges faster than last year. Better cameras. Wireless charging. Better processor. Nfc. You're nuts if you think this is a downgrade.
Drinking game. Take a shot every time he says Device!
💪💪💪💪💪💪
Yes I would buy Samsung A25 if I am spending $300...Moto g power phones over time has charging issues so I am not going with moto phones because of the last 3
Loved my old moto G! The dam thing doesn't charge correctly now. I upgraded to the 5g moto G, it's not as good as my old one. Touch screen isn't that great on some apps.
It's from silence of the lambs vegan leather you take them vegans and you make leather out of them lol😂
Garbage phone
why?? do you have it?
Do anybody want to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior he want to give you love and calmness and salvation and eternal life if you confess your sins
I do
Motorola phones suck ass!!!!!
I tried the phone at BB, I wasn't impressed with the display or form factor. This thing was heavy af. Bulky too. I say spend $50 more and get the edge 2023.
