The hybrid drive of the SWACE combines a powerful electric motor with a 1.8-liter petrol engine specially designed for use in hybrid vehicles. The result: a smooth driving experience with powerful acceleration, excellent fuel consumption and low emissions. The hybrid system determines whether the SWACE is powered by one of the engines or both, depending on the driving conditions.
The interior, designed for comfort and practicality, appears open and comfortable. The spacious trunk is the perfect companion in everyday life and in leisure time.
For the exterior design of the SWACE, the stable and functional look of a station wagon was paired with a sporty aesthetic.
While the wide stance, the narrow upper body and the flared fenders convey the model's high level of driving stability, the dynamic body lines on the windows and shoulders underline its sportiness.
The unique design of the front end is fully aligned with the LED projector headlights and the honeycomb grille. The headlights and the upper part of the radiator grille form a streamlined curve and give the front a sporty and present look. The bumpers, the lower part of the radiator grille and the covers for the fog lights are positioned close to the ground, which emphasizes the model's low center of gravity.
Other central elements of the exterior design are an integrated roof rail for the easy installation of roof racks and sporty, elegant 16-inch alloy wheels.
The SWACE is available in seven different finishes: White Pearl Crystal Shine, Super White, Precious Silver, Black Mica, Dark Blue Mica, Phantom Brown Metallic and Oxide Bronze Metallic.
The SWACE has an 8-inch multimedia audio system with AM / FM / DAB radio and Bluetooth® functionality. Controls attached to the steering wheel allow easy operation. The system is compatible with Apple CarPlay for iPhones as well as with Android Auto ™ or MirrorLink ™ for compatible smartphones.
A wireless Qi charging station on the front console makes it possible to charge the phone on the go. In addition, two USB plugs and an AUX connection are easily accessible from the driver and front passenger seats.
Other important elements inside are the heated steering wheel, heated seats for driver and front passenger, air conditioning with S-FLOW passenger detection and the ambient light in the cabin.
The extremely spacious trunk with 596 liters offers enough space for suitcases or sporting goods. For even more versatility, the carpeted floor can be adjusted to a lower position so that taller objects can also be stowed away. It can also be turned on the plastic side for transporting wet or dirty things. The rear seat bench can be completely folded down using the remote control to create an even larger loading area. A detachable privacy screen that can be retracted at the push of a button ensures privacy. For the sake of convenience, the trunk is equipped with self-illuminating lamps and a 12V DC socket for accessories.
The SWACE impresses with its smooth ride comfort and its stable and appealing handling, which is optimized by the low center of gravity and the finely tuned suspension. Thanks to the low bonnet and the placement of the hybrid battery behind the rear seat bench, the vehicle could be designed to be particularly deep. This prevents swaying in curves, improves stability and ensures a pleasant driving experience. Thanks to the MacPherson struts at the front and the double wishbone suspension at the rear, excellent handling stability and high driving comfort are guaranteed. For even more driving pleasure, the driver can choose from three different driving modes depending on their preferences and driving situation.
Thanks to the driving mode selection, the driver can adapt the performance of the vehicle to the driving conditions. The SWACE offers three different modes: NORMAL, ECO or SPORT.
NORMAL: offers the optimal balance between driving comfort, stability and consumption and is suitable for everyday driving.
ECO: helps the driver to accelerate in an environmentally conscious way and to save fuel through a graduated response behavior and minimal use of the air conditioning system. This mode is ideal for traffic jams in city traffic.
SPORT: controls the hybrid system to provide quick and powerful acceleration. The mode is suitable for situations in which direct response is required, e.g. B. on winding roads.
The S-IPA supports the driver when parking in transverse and longitudinal gaps with visual and acoustic assistance. If necessary, the steering wheel is operated automatically. The system uses ultrasonic waves to park accurately even in tight parking spaces.

Subjective, but I personally prefer the Swace styling to the Corolla. You cannot directly compare prices as equipment levels are different, but the Swace is slightly cheaper (in the UK - I don't know about elsewhere, but I would assume). The Swace has 16 inch wheels, so benefits from a lovely smooth ride and the Suzuki sales person I spoke to told me it has slightly different suspension - don't know if he's right.

Nice presentation, buuuut :) according Toyota, B-Mode is engine braking no extra recuperation. Using this mode the petrol motor works like an air compressor and breakes the vehicle. The compressed air "puffs" out of the exhaust with no engergie saving. If you whant extra recuperation, you have to apply the breaks a little bit.
I tested it myself, and in B-Mode the "eco trainer" shows only a small recuperation amount. If I go downhill in D and easy breaking (what you nomally shouldn't do downhill) the "eco trainer" shows way more recuperation energie and the battery is very fast at 80-100%.
Brakes work in 2 phases. First recuperation using the electric motor and second applying the disk break.
Therefore there is way less wear on the disk-brakes and break-pads.
I use b-mode only if the battery is completly charged and I have to go a long way downhill.

I think the 1.8 liter Corolla car doesn't sell that well. Everyone prefers the 2L engine, so Toyota is partnering with Suzuki to get rid of the 1.8L engines. But over all its a shame by Toyota building twins with Suzuki i mean parhaps it is a kick in the a.... for all the owners of the corolla wagon.
