Not just crying...sobbing 😭. I put my little Chico down 3 yrs ago next month. He was 17 yrs old. I keep his little collar and tag to this day. I want another dog so badly..but not sure if I can deal with the pain of losing them one day. I suppose the good times far outweighed the pain...so, maybe..one day...again...😢
I had blessed with a dog who lived 27 years.. Matei is buried in our front garden full of flowers there was the place were he stayed at the sun! Next to him I buried the next dog i had, Ivan, beautiful, good boy and very loving husky he died at 9 years from epilepsia stroke. He crashed my heart in pieces, i loved Ivan to the moon and back, he was my giant baby boy, I have another 2 husky girls Yuki and Chiara(read it Kiara-italian name), his living sisters but they are not the same, gourgeos girls but so selfish, I love them much, both of them are my children, but not the same Ivan was. My boy is Angel now, he runnin over the clouds without any pain😪

There will always be the one dog that has your heart.
It sounded like Coco chose Calvin, They were soulmates from that moment they met. Coco was his heart dog. You know how they have a saying that when an animal chose you over anyone else, and will only stay with you, you know that the animal has found their "One" and want to spend rest of their life with them. I had a cat, who chose me the moment she met me after being rescued and given 2nd chance at life when she was at brink of death at 5 weeks old. We were inseparable for 19 solid years. We had to say good bye on May 3rd of 2021. Missing her horribly, and it's not very easy learn how to live not having them around you anymore, but always know they're there with you forever, in your heart.

Twenty-two years with a best friend is nothing but to be proud of and grateful for. I'm glad you guys had that much time with CoCo- I definitely remember the episode we, the public, met him in! It makes me bittersweet-happy to see your old geezers at this point in their lives- they're obviously having difficulty getting around, but they're still so happy to share their moments with their humans.
I feel that CoCo, Daddy, and the rest who have shared their lives with you, will be happily waiting for you to return to them, someday.

@@rholanddelamerced Coco was an older dog and was in a lot of pain from the sound of it. They didn’t state anything in particular that was wrong health wise, but walking was difficult for him, and throughout the video you can hear him whimpering and groaning. He was such a good companion for Calvin.

Calvin became a man. Such a beautiful bond. We los our German shepherd on Monday at the age of 13. She became very ill and she passed in my arms. Que suerte compartir tanto tiempo con Coco
My little Chihuahua Hannah who I had since she was 3 months old passed December 29th, 2021 at the age of 14 years old. I miss her terribly. I thought she'd have the chance to live to possibly 18 years but she had a bad heart from heredity. You are so fortunate to have CoCo for 22 years. 💜🐾🐾💜🙏🙏🙏
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I had a cat like that, that blessed my life for 13 years. She was as diligent to me as a story book dog. I was so blessed to know her.
I have a dog now that loves me deeply. He's not as diligent as the cat was and he's very clumsy but I know I am blessed to have the love and dedication of such a dork.

I have a 17 year old Yorkie. I already know in my heart. That this be her last year. It's ripping my heart out. Because she's still teaching me so much. So this last year with her. Will be the best for the both of us.
Don’t forget to spend every waking moment you can with your baby. We helped our Yorkie cross the bridge in June last year. He would’ve been 17 in August. We knew we weren’t going to have a lot of time, so we took lots of pictures and videos of the most mundane activities. We wish we’d taken more. We miss him so much.
@@miriamlob535 i have 2 working dogs that are still young. A 9 year old great Pyrenees & a 6 year old border collie. When i let my Yorkie outside. I watch her the whole time. She's the queen of the farm. All the other animals will move to the side to let her through. My Yorkie has taught my working dogs so much
1 minute and I’m crying already , coco reminds me of my dog, she lived with us since I was 4 and passed away 2 years ago. I will never stop loving her
I'm crying 😢 I had a sweet girl, her name was GRACE! She lived by her name. She gave me so much for almost 18 years. I lost her 6 years ago and I still cry for her. I NEVER knew so much love and acceptance in my life until she came along.
My schnauzer saw me through my poorest self before he died at age 14. The 1st I carried him in 2006, I heard and felt his heart on my chest. When he died on Thanksgiving 2020 in my arms, I heard his heart slowing and stopped while in my arms. I lost my soul on that day.
*Everyone should be lucky enough to experience having a dog of the heart at least once.*

ĢOD, gave me all the dogs I needed so I could love unconditional the way my dogs have loved me. I have been told that they go to the rainbow Bridge and cross over to their heaven. I hope to go there when I die inorder

I too remember when Calvin got Coco. It was meant to be, and luckily the client loved Coco enough to let her go. My husband, daughter, son and I always reminisce about the dogs we have loved and lost. We laugh and cry talking about them. Our first dog, an Akita, we got when our daughter was just 8 weeks old. His name was Tika. He was so patient and calm, the children crawled all over him, pulled their wagons, ran and played with them. Sadly when he was 16 we had to put him down. He had severe hip dysplasia, and once he got old was in a great deal of pain. Finally, one day I got home from work, I'm a nurse, he couldn't walk, so I knew it was time. The children were at school, my husband out of town, so I called a friend to come and help me get him into the car. I was crying so hard my friend had to drive. When it came time for his injection, I crawled in the cage with him, held him close, sobbing, and he was comforting me! He licked my tears away, he knew exactly what was happening, and that beautiful creature was saying, don't cry mommy, it will be ok. Rest in peace my darling Tika, we will never forget you. He gave us far more than we ever gave him. God bless Coco, Milan family, Calvin, I understand your loss ♡ Nurse Carolyn
So beautiful to hear! thank you for sharing! I had similar experience with my Chihuahua who I had to euthanize at almost 15. It's an unbearable pain, it's because they give us so much unconditionally love. To me the definition of the word "Love" should have the picture of a dog as it's meaning.
Damn it, you made me cry! I’m so glad you got to experience such beautiful creatures and I’m sorry for your and all of our losses. I believe we will be reunited in the next life, no doubt. My lovely girl Randy, ho lived to 16, died at home in her sleep is definitely there with my Grammie and Grandaddy, waiting for the rest of the pack to join.
Coco was a lucky happy dog. Recently I lost MY Cocoa after 18 years. I remember when I first adopted my Cocoa and I just discovered the TV show Dog Whisperer. It was perfect timing. Thank you for sharing.
OMG!! I just recently lost my Chihuahua of 18.5yrs. I miss him so much and Coco reminds me of what he looked like at his fragile age. My heartaches for him still and I miss him so much.I am sorry Calvin for your pain. I understand it

Chihuahuas have a bad wrap but nothing will ever love you more unconditionally than a chihuahua. That’s why they tend to be so protective and possessive over their person. But you can train them not to be that way, it’s just that a lot of people don’t realize it’s happening.

My heart dog was a long haired chi, named Daisy. She was 13 when she passed. She had sudden kidney failure and I had to make a decision not to let her suffer. I felt enormous grief and guilt. She slept in the bed with me also. About a week after she passed, she came to me in a dream. I saw her leaning against the pillow of my bed, as she always did when she wanted me to lift up the cover to let her in. It was as real as anything that I have experienced. She let me know that she was okay, and I was now ready to move forward without the guilt. That was 13 years ago. I know have three dogs and I still consider her my baby. I still miss her. ❤️
OMG! I had similar dream as well. My Chi would always scratch the side of my blankets to try and get under, which she slept underneath the blanket all night. I always wonder how she wouldn't suffocate. However, she did that since she was a 6 week old puppy. After I ethunizted her I felt the same. was horrible, cried for days and walked around like a zombie.She came to me in a dream all happy and cheerful. I know it was her telling me that she was ok! She comes to me in my dreams pretty regularly, even tho it's been almost 3 years since she passed. However, those dreams are so real that I don't want to wake up. And when I do, I wake up with such a great feeling of love and peace. Bless all our wonderful pet's.

It's hard to lose your pets. I had two cats, who were brother and sister, at the ages of 17 and 18 years old. My girl (Scrappy) died at the age of 17 and my boy (Indo) died a year later at the age of 18. Our loved ones live on in our memories. ❤️
I got a chihuahua during the pandemic who is now 8 years old. I can’t even imagine having a dog for so many years but I pray to have that privilege. That’s a long and beautiful life for a dog. I know Coco is so incredibly treasured and loved by you guys 💛
WOW...22yrs old..that's amazing. I had a cat that lived that long and her son lived to be 20. So many yes ago...miss them a lot. I have one cat now and she's a rescue. She was about 3mon old when I rescued her from a center cement road divider that she was perched on. Someone had to have placed her there because she was way to little to have jumped that high. She has a forever home with me and she will be turning 8 years old in March. Keep up your wonderful work. Someday I hope to be able to have another dog.I just can't right now.
Thats rare fur one person\ family to have a pet fur over 10 yrs, let alone 15, 17 and 20 -22??? Way to many get rid of pets cuz to old, no more spunk, not cute or attractive, too many vet bills, etc . I LOVE hearing stories of Life long pet owners....Whove had pets fur over a Decade! Makes me Happy, Warms my ❤......and I shed tears 💓✌😍

It certainly is painful… We had to put our beautiful pug to sleep 11 weeks ago. She was 13. We only got her when she was already 7, so it seems such a short time. Our former pug we had from puppyhood to 15 years. 🥺😢

My dog Jack is black lab/golden retriever. When he and his 2 brothers were puppies their mom would teach me how to discipline them because they were "wild", rambunctious, high-energy, happy-go-lucky, and too curious for their own good. From the age of 6 months until he died at 20 months old, Jack would teach me like his mom did. When I would get frustrated trying to get his brothers to behave he would look at me to get my attention. Then he would DO. Then he would look back to me and say, "See? Do it like that." Ceasar, I've often wondered how you deal with the loss of a beloved dog as these experiences have been hard for me my whole life. Thank you for posting.

Wow, CoCo is 22 yrs., is that a record? I'm a Scorpio too October 31st, we do have our eccentricities, but most important, we are loyal, and compassionate. So grateful you have a spiritual foundation to help you through, CoCo looks pretty good for his age, maybe he's not ready to depart for the Rainbow bridge, but if he does, he will be waiting for you Calvin. That's the hardest thing to go thru but what consoled me is that my pets were loved...fed and protected !!
Cesar has taught me so much about animals. For so long! I've followed him from the start! But more than that, he's helped ME AS A PERSON to be better. To be calm. To change my energy. And that has helped me with my dogs but also my own personal life! Thank you, cesar, for helping me be a better dog owner, AND a better human! 🙏
Cesar, you do these 'adios' videos with such dignity and composure. They always make me cry. Calvin experienced that bond that is hard to describe unless you have experienced it.

Thank you for the generous BLESSING of sharing the ups and downs, the bitter and the sweets of the evolution of the DPC and all the wonderful "clients" (dogs) and their "unmanageable" owners. And also for sharing times such as these when our beloved pet is getting ready for the "Rainbow Bridge." Love NEVER dies...Energy and Spirit NEVER dies it just morphs into something else. Somewhere beyond. But always near. Always true. Always ETERNAL.

I must tell you that I wish all men on earth were like you and the energy you send out then the world would be so wonderful both for us all women, animals, plants, water, the earth, the sky and for all men on earth then we would all live in peace and with energies that everyone feels good to swim in. Must also tell you Cesar Millan that you are such a heavenly beautiful man on the outside and inside. I do everything I can to protect my dogs - I trust no one over them... while my child is now an adult and able to protect himself...
My Labrador Retriever is going to be 9 this month. I’m very aware that our time together is running out. We have a very similar human-dog bond like Coco and Calvin do. He’s my childhood dog, (I got him when I was 5) so I know he will always hold a special place in my heart even when he passes away. As long as we keep the sprit of our dogs in our hearts and minds they never truly die.

🦋❣🦋This video is so close to home for me. I have a 22 year old Chihuahua rescued from the Lancaster, California pound. She's had some close calls, when we found each other, she weighed less than a pound, bald, and was to be put down that day. Her life is a big part of mine. She was a licenced service dog for me for many years, but always like a close friend. A picture of her is my thumb nail. I know my heart will hurt when she is no more, but my memories will be forever. Thankyou for sharing. 🦋❣🦋❣🦋

Just helped my neighbor put her black lab muffin down of 15 plus years I used to play with her as a puppy trained her some and always did her nails. What an amazing dog, she passed in my arms yesterday.

I got away from watching the dog whisperer for several years due to health problems interfering with every aspect of my life. I’ve watched several episodes on TH-cam but obviously have so much to catch up on! It broke my heart when Daddy passed-I felt like I had lost a friend even though I never technically met him. He just had such a beautiful soul…Watching this video, I find out that Junior has passed as well, which is so sad, and I realize how old I really am! I know time passes and we are all aging, but I suppose not seeing your kids in awhile made me forget. I can’t believe how your son has turned into a man; he is obviously as kind and caring as you, with such a beautiful soul. I can’t believe I remember when he got Coco, and I’m so thankful that you allowed me to experience this beautiful end of life tribute!💕

I have had many dogs in our life. sometimes a dog comes into your life that is special it’s your soul and spirit you share until the end. My dog died in my arms and I felt her soul leave her body.
