The dark series are so elegant in their traditional moog old style attire! Definitely love those mothers wearing black. It becomes them so perfectly🤗😍

My god, this is where Neil Peart got the lyrical phrase for Vital Signs on the Moving Pictures album: 'Random - sample -
    Hold the one you need'

I remember my very first discovery of S/H : way back in 1978 with my first Korg MS20 and my Roland 102 expander. Used with the crisp Roland VCOs, I immediately decided to use the last one in one of the first tracks I recorded for our second LP!🤗

Great demo, Daniel. Sure wish I had bought a CP-251 a few years ago when they were still available new. :-(
At least I do have a Matriarch! (yes, from Sweetwater, of course). :-)

What are the things that you can do with a sample hold patch point? All the patch points on the matriarch are utterly baffling.

Hi Venice Lackjaw. A Random LFO is created by using Sample & Hold with Noise. But, if you use an LFO instead, you can get and LFO shape that is, for example, a Triangle with steps instead of straight lines. Also, you should watch my Matriarch Deep Dive video:

that was awesome. A great way to end the night. The debate made me angry, and sad for our country. But this brought me back to the beauty of sound. Thank you
