Love this thing. I work as a Penetration Tester and have used it on several engagements and could not be happier with the resolution and wide-angle. It has become among the most useful tools in my kit. The only thing I would like to see in a future itteration is some kind of battery indicator. I missed a few opportunities and couldn't figure out why until much later that the battery had run out. Other than that it's a fantastic product and I have already added it to my company's wish list for the rest of my team.
Hi Kyle. I think it was you I talked to on the phone right after you posted this but I thought I'd answer you online because others may have the same question. You have to have the SD card inserted for the computer to see it as a storage device. The pen does not have any onboard memory, it's all on the card. It will charge if you plug it in without the SD card, but nothing else. Thanks for asking Kyle, I hope this was helpful.
The video record time, for this pen, is capped at 10 minute intervals. Are you aware of a method to increase this 10 minute interval cap? For example, could I change the 10 minute cap to, lets say, 60 minutes?
I just mine from ebay and the thing ain't working , it keeps telling audio general on my computer and it doesn't record, do I need to charge it first?...or it only starts to record if there is a SD card in it ?..
I have been using this pen for about a week...no problems, but: Does the motivation ONLY work on 10-minute increments? OR will it automatically pick up movement as well? Please advise....Thanks, Phil
I have the 1080p version of this pen and the instructions mention that I can record video while charging but how do I utilize this functionality? When I plug into charge it doesn't respond to any normal functions

I find the audio has a terrible fuzzy/interference sound - has anyone else experienced this and is there any way to improve it? I also have the date and time stuck on screen on the recordings and can't seem to shift it.
I connect my pen to the computer and I hear the connection, but it doesnt assign me a driver letter. Also, the remove safley is not available. I do see that the pen is charging but I am not able to set the date and time due to not having a letter assigned. What do I need to do?
I purchased this Spy Pen and it did a wonderful job until yesterday and now the video is black. I reset the pen but it has not fixed the problem. Any suggestions?

I have purchased a HD Spy Pen Camcorder It is found the video recording time works only 51 minutes after having full charge. In the circumstances I like to know whether I can use an external +5 volts/1500mah battery through USB cord while recording for increasing the video recording time.

I don't think the input matters, but the output needs to be 5V and between 500mA-1000mA (1A)

When I changed the memory card from the one it came with, my macbook pro would read it.
We have not had this issue with our pens.
