Yeah and the reason why freight goes by ferry is because the Japanese rail system is poorly suited for freight in part due to issues fitting them in with passenger trains and underinvestment in rolling stock and marshalling yards. Of comparable nations, Japan hauls the least amount of freight by rail.

I would need someone to help with language and food. But I will continue watching this channel. Did you notice I posted in the style of the captions? Because they are awesome!
Trebuchet, I think if you watch most of STJ's videos you'll see how much Japan is oriented towards english speaking tourists. A lot of signage and voice announcements are given in english, especially in the transportation sector. Besides this channel there are other good ones where you can learn about japanese food. Now that you've watched a few of STJ'S, TH-cam algorithms will be throwing other channels your way. Good luck, I hope you get to travel there some day.

Exactly, would love to travel around with him one day, when we are freeer.
@@donnamanitu8673 , I agree. I watched a few Kuga's Travels and I had the same feeling. I'm sure he's a nice person, but STJ makes you feel like you're a friend he's showing around, talking, laughing and joking like friends do.
Thank you for these recordings, I can’t explain how much I appreciate it! ❤️
Thanks for showing a stormy trip. I was beginning to think that the ocean in Japan is never rough!
Very glad you survived the storm, with a good appetite! 😉 It was an excellent journey! 👍🏼😎✌🏼
Continued! I love the part where the ferry is smacking the waves!
glad that you've prepared for seasick this time haha. and i enjoyed you taking coffee, ice cream etc. as every time you showed that they taste even better on the ferry. 🤤🤤
Mr Yasai Curry, thank you for this video. I feel like I am traveling with you!
I swear I'm gonna gain 10 pounds watching these videos...the food looks so good that it makes me hungry and I run out to my kitchen to get snacks to eat while I watch 🤣😂
What a great view, right out the front of the ship. Amazing.
This ferry looks way better then the one you took from Okinawa to Kagoshima.😄✌️🗾 Thanks for sharing. One of my close friends lives in Nagoya. Went there once to see the baseball game between the Dragons and the Hawks. Hello from Saga back in the days.
16:30 THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM FOR CURRY!
I have never seen Japan out of this perspective. I wish i could be there one day, its beautiful, thanks for your videos.
Welcome to Solo's Traveling Food Show Deluxe!!! In today's episode, we are sailing in rough seas, but Solo doesn't miss a meal because of it. There's plenty of water to look at, bathe in and plenty of curry to look at and salivate over. Tune in again next week to see what Solo will be eating on his ferry of choice!!! (just had to darling, this was absolutely fun!!) This is the only way I'll ever explore Japan in my lifetime, and so far, you have given me plenty of free rides on ferries to explore with you. Thank you for that. You made this old momma polar bear from Canada quite happy!!!
Part two did not disappoint! Can't wait for your next upload!
My favorite room so far! And a bath with a View!
So glad you came prepared for the stormy sea this time. : )
These videos always make me hungry for some reason. 😄
Thank you for risking your life for us! You’re the best! 💕
I always look forward on what he eats. I miss eating in japanese buffets
i can feel the happiness when there is writing 'the restaurant is open' !!!
TH-cam recommended this channel a couple of days ago.
I thought "what"?
Then I watched one yesterday.
And several more.
They are awesome.
And then I watched this one.
You are ok in the rough seas because your wonderful cabin is on the centerline.
I want to travel in that cabin.
And all over many ferries in Japan.
9:20 Bless the family that brought the baby. These people don't often get the comfort and understanding of their fellow voyageurs AND they have to deal with a crank boat on top. Lend them a hand.
I love the plates with the little compartments. Once the pandemic subsides Solo Travel Japan should have a fan ferry experience where we go ferry hopping as a group. 🚢
Count me in!
Yay!!! Finally, the next episode that I have been waiting for. Thanks!
This three by three grid plate… I want some! I would want a whole stack haha
So glad I found your channel. Your videos are soothing and relaxing. They are perfect to watch before going to bed. Thanks for the sweet travel dreams. 👍
LOL Your favorite, curry rice!! (Yep, I remember that from one of your other vids.) Chaining down the chairs? I guess they are used to having things move around in the storms. lol
This channel is the best.
I’m always so excited when I see you’ve posted another ferry video! It’s so much fun to watch your travels since it’s not possible for me right now.
Great follow up,glad you arrived safely and not seasick!
Wow, it looks so cozy to sleep in a nice warm bed during that kind of storm with the rocking motion.
I found your channel last week and haven't been able to stop watching! Love your content!
This popped onto my feed 2 minutes before I found it. I’m glad because I was afraid I’d missed it. I’ve never been seasick (knock on wood, lol) but those waves just might have done it. Really enjoy these ferry trips; thanks for sharing. I especially like the fact that you tell me what you’re eating. Some of that looks really good. Can’t wait for the next video!
Love the waves as I never got sea sick and the sense of humour on the curry rice which you seem to like :)
Nice coffees in room, along with a kettle...you still get bottled vending machine coffee. Then again, trying to use a cup in these seas might be a bad idea...
HE'S ALIVE! YAY!
he made it safely! i'll call off the search and rescue party
Lol.. your comment was as entertaining as the video. :)
Oh my, I saved the best till last. My fav cabin, food, voyage, the entry into Nagoya is awesome.
I like this channel due to the English. One channel I like to watch is in all Japanese, so I never understand what is being said, but I enjoy watching anyway. You survived the journey yay!
I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the journey! Thanks for the video 👍👍👍
A wonderful and exciting video for sharing. Cheers!
Glad you didn't get sick. I know I would have. Thanks for another great video!
Ugh I wish I could join you on a trip sometime! I love being on ships and the food looks amazing!
So happy that you really got to enjoy this ferry cruise and the great cabin! Totally worth it having a bigger cabin as you had lots of space and all meals included! You deserved the luxury!
I'm glad you weren't ill this trip. What an awesome suite with such a great view of the typhoon! I enjoyed this trip very much. TFS 😁👍
That movie theatre reminded me of church... specifically a Catholic one. The seats looked like pews and the cards were like programs.
Your videos keep me sane. I have had a rough day (non-stop anxiety and restlessness) and I finally managed to sit down and catch up on your content... instant serenity.
When you mentioned that you wanted to eat something and you looked toward the counter... I already was making bets that it was gonna be some curry rice, glad to see you never disappoint 😉
