    Patti, thank you so much for making this video. I have been looking for a Karate Gnome for so long, since my husband is a 6 degree black belt sensei. I have been watching your videos for a very long time. Now if you could make a golfer, biker, and hair cutter. I would really appreciate it. He just got diagnosed with cancer & would like to make all of them for him for Christmas. There are no videos on golfers at all & right now that is his passion. He is all of those things I have already made him, a Harmonica Player Gnome & Jets Gnome. I can not believe one man can have so many careers & hobbies. I am looking forward to seeing some of the Gnomes that I have suggested to you, it would mean so much to me & him.

      Thank you so much Karen. I am so sorry that your husband was diagnosed with cancer. I hope that he is doing ok. I lost my husband to cancer 10 years ago. I am sorry that ya'll are going through this. I will pray for strength for you. I will add those gnomes to my list, but it will probably be after the holidays before I make them. I will try. Thanks for the suggestion.

    This one has special meaning for me Patti. Before we got transferred to Arizona, I was one test away from getting my black belt in Tai Kwon Do. I think I may just change the belt color to red to remind me of the significance of that (plus my hair looked like that when I was sparring, lol). Thank you for all you do. Have a great week. Stay cool if at all possible. Forecast for here this week is 110 to 115 all week. Hopefully it's better there. Pattie

    Hi Patty thanks for the link for the circuit mats, still on sale right now for $9.99 that's a really good price. Aileen's tack it over and over worked really good I have a strong grip mat. But for some reason my craft foam will not stick to it. White just won't stick? Thank you for always replying and helping me out I really appreciate it you're an awesome person Linda

    • @PattiJGood
      @PattiJGood  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will have to try the Aileen's tack. I have a few mats that need some help. I use a lot of painters tape to hold heavy things to boards.

    • @lindame3326
      @lindame3326 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't have much luck with the painters tape either. I used one tablespoon of tack it do one and a half tablespoons of water. I gave mine three coats. I wouldn't have to use the Goo gone cuz the next one I watch just cleaned it real good with Dawn then used the tack it glue. I just tried to use it a bit ago so I let it set about 24 hours and it held the white craft foam. Have a great week thanks for your help I just finished making Uncle Sam, I made two firework stands, 4 mini gnomes and three big firework gnomes. I made a set for my friend they're really cute thanks again Linda

    Can we use a cotton fabric or does twill work better?

    • @PattiJGood
      @PattiJGood  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can, but the twill was more like a real Karate uniform.

    Hi Patty what I absolutely awesome karate kid! You sure have your thinking cap on a lot LOL enjoy your Thursday program as well. Thank you for sharing your talent your patterns and yourself! I have a question have you ever re- stuck your circuit mats? I'm giving it a try with Aileen's tack it over and over. Don't know if it's going to work or not but I'm going to give it a try let me know if you've done it. Have a happy week Linda

    • @PattiJGood
      @PattiJGood  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much. I have not re-stuck my cricut mats. I saw a video where they used the cleaner called Awesome from the DollarTree, and I tried that and it totally ruined my mats. I use tape on some of mine that are not sticky anymore. I use these mats, they are less pricey. amzn.to/3yB5Cat

    • @lindame3326
      @lindame3326 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well I use Goo gone to get the original sticky off from it and then Aileen's tack it over and over. I cannot get my craft foam to stick or I can cut it out. If this doesn't work I'm just going to use the fabric one for it. Had no trouble with black 2 mm at the but the white was 1.5 mm. It would not stay on the mat for nothing. Any suggestions?

    Hi Patti, just a couple quick questions - what is the diameter of your pool noodle, is it the smaller one or fatter? The link wouldn't come up for me; also for the 'sticks' you use in the legs - would bamboo skewers (like for grilling) work? Can't wait to make this for my granddaughter who is taking karate! I love your videos, thank you!

    • @PattiJGood
      @PattiJGood  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use a noodle that is 2.25" in diameter. I am not sure if the bamboo skewers would work or not. The dowel stick I use is 1/4" diameter. If you use the bamboo skewers you may need to use two per leg to make it strong enough. Your granddaughter will love this. thanks, Patti
