    Ben, looks SO good. I'm working my way through this builds Playlist. I really like how much care you are putting into this. Great job!

    That is one good looking bike, nice work! Can't wait to see your plans for wiring, battery and ECU placement and all the smaller bits and pieces.

      Thanks dude, battery will live in the tail unit as for the rest of it, don't know yet. I'm open to suggestions.

    Hello mate. I am just about to start a build of my K100RS. I am struggling to find relevant info on what is needed to swap the rear 3 spoke for a K1200 5 spoke wheel. Can you help ? Spacers ?? Any help appreciated ! Cheers and very nice build

    Amazing, but why this 3 spoke wheel in front? The back wheel design is much more beautiful 👌🏼 (love the alignment of the tank with the rear frame 😜) Awesome suspension on the back! Unfortunately we can’t use it in Switzerland....It’s not street legal 😳😢🤬

      Thanks dude! With regards to the wheels, I agree, the back wheel does look better but the 3 spoke wheel is there as it is the gsxr front wheel that goes with the forks. It is possible to fit the k1200 front wheel but one the brake discs are on you'll never see the spokes.

    Hi Nice bike. Shouldn't it be 180 tyre on rear wheel, as k1200rs runs 180? or it is to wide. Got my K1100 in bits and thinking about getting the 1200 rear wheel. Thanks Zed

    • @Eight20
      @Eight20  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi buddy, no it's a 17x5 so 160 is the recommended size, I could get a 180 on there but it's not ideal.

    thinking about the clip on bars, say if one would like to put a raised handlebar (for a more "muscle cruiser" look), how would this affect the forks? or is it just the case of mounting the stem and no big deal?

    • @Eight20
      @Eight20  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could mount them to the top yoke with no issues, some places sell replacement top yokes.

    Hi Ben, what rear wheel is that and did you need any spacers to fit.

    • @Eight20
      @Eight20  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, it's from a k1200lt and no spacers are needed.

    Looking good! I'm currently building mine and the seat is next on the list. Did you do yours yourself? Trying to find where to get the foam

    • @Eight20
      @Eight20  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dan, yes I've done pretty much everything on this bike myself, apart from some welding.
      I use expanding foam for the bulk, cut it back and shaped it, then used filler to get the final shape and used that as a plug to make a fibreglass copy of.

    Looking great - is the rear subframe a custom made from the original? I was thinking of going with RR platform and tail but this looks good 👌

    • @Eight20
      @Eight20  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi buddy, thank you, the subframe was built from scratch by me.

    Is it a K1200 or a k1200rs rim? And does it fit plug and play?

    • @Eight20
      @Eight20  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, it's a k1200lt rear wheel, and yes it fits right on but you do need the k1200 wheel bolts as they're slightly longer.

    Hello, good job, the arm for the rear cushion is bought from Retrorides by Lorenco Brazil, have you bought or copied it ... I sent email, the answer was, charged me 5000 dollars.

    • @Eight20
      @Eight20  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Patrick, it's my own design, it is based on the retrorides platform but tweaked to work with a paralever setup.
