Michael Jai White's portrayal of Seth in Universal Soldier was truly remarkable, capturing my attention and sparking an interest in his career. He seemed like a force to be reckoned with at the time. To this day, he maintains his physical fitness.
Yet again Jai White shows himself up for the ignorant buffoon he is. Seagal is a 7th degree black belt in Aikido and has various other black belts in other martial arts. He is also an expert marksman. He has been a cop and part of border patrol for over 20 years. Like him or not it's ridiculous for Michael to say that Vlad and anyone else could beat him in a fight. Such stupid talk all stemming from jealously and hatred. He is obsessed with talking about Seagal, it's sad.

The Tyson quote is accurate here. Maybe more accurate, the Joe Rogan belief that every man needs to be hit in the mouth and then learns how to fight. A fight truly takes more than talking shit. Straight truth. Jai calls it like it is.
I've known many people that have trained for years that don't know how to fight. Taking a punch is part of it, but the willingness to really try to hurt someone is a bigger part. A lot of people just don't have that switch that allows them to literally turn someones face into pulp.
Van Damme said he no longer holds anything against Seagal in an interview promoting Expendables 2 and wishes him well. This was a very diff tone from Michael about Van Damme. Glad to hear it.
Van Damme competed in full contact karate with knocks outs and won a couple of trophies in Belgium. I don't know anything about the level of competition he faced, though. Steven Seagal on the other hand did some aikido which is basically yoga with somersaults. There's no record whatsoever of him ever being in a real fight.
Growing up me and my dad didn't know the name of the actors. So we called Steven Seagal "fast hands" and Jean-Claude "guy that does the splits". But we both knew the name. Jackie Chan.

Wait a minute. Does he or interviewer really not know that Steven Seagal legit knows Martial Arts? Like he went to Japan when he was young and learned from a Master and he also had his own Dojo? How was this not even mentioned? Steven Seagal knows how to defend himself but would only use those fighting skills if he absolutely had too. Like in a life or death situation. He even told Scott Adkins in a interview that he upgraded his black belt in kykoshin and fought full contact, again and got hurt but did not tell the movie company he was working for at the time so he would not get in trouble. Besides you can see his skill level by the way he moves there are not too many 230lbs bodybuilders, doing wheel kicks flying side kicks and double triple kicks with speed and power. And how is it that Van Damme now knows how to fight even though previously MJW said he was just a "dancer". Probably trying to say something good because he wants to get back into his good graces so they can do another movie together, and Van Damme still has more pull as an action star than MJW.
Jean Claude Van Damme in "The Expendables:" "Dont chuh-lenge me"
Jean Claude Van Damme to Steven Seagal at a bar: "Chuh-lenge me"
😂😂
I read that in his voice too 😂
😂😂😂😂
I literally just did that to@@mariorodriguezjunior
This is way funnier than it should be
Expendables 2
Michael Jai White is a classy dude. Never seems to BS. Seems very respectful and down to earth.
I have been doing various martial arts for the last 35 years, and I 100% believe everything he says here.
Michael Jai White's portrayal of Seth in Universal Soldier was truly remarkable, capturing my attention and sparking an interest in his career. He seemed like a force to be reckoned with at the time. To this day, he maintains his physical fitness.
That Shonuff t shirt is FIRE!!!🔥🔥🔥
I was eyeing that too. I want one!
Universal soldier or course.
Yes great movie
Michael Jai trying to get Vlads head pumped up to get him himmed up!! 😂😂
Bruh I would pay money to see vlad slap Seagal and his bodyguards take a sec to do anything since they probably don't like him either
😂
Yet again Jai White shows himself up for the ignorant buffoon he is. Seagal is a 7th degree black belt in Aikido and has various other black belts in other martial arts. He is also an expert marksman. He has been a cop and part of border patrol for over 20 years. Like him or not it's ridiculous for Michael to say that Vlad and anyone else could beat him in a fight. Such stupid talk all stemming from jealously and hatred. He is obsessed with talking about Seagal, it's sad.
😂😂😂😂😂
Big respect to MJW. He always speaks the truth, tells it like it is, is humble and doesn't disrespect anybody. He can also back up his reputation but doesn't dine out on that. A real man's man. 👍
Michael Jai White has mastered the art of giving backhanded compliments lol. He basically did it this whole video.
One thing about him that's like...my dude why you backhanding that aside he still cool in my book
He was basically saying Seagal ain't about that life without saying Seagal ain't about that life 🤣
Wow you can really hear the intensity with MJW he's the one who has beef with Steven Seagal now, but much respect for giving Van dam some credit and having his back this time cause he might turn in the next Vlad video.
90s boy with 80s and 90s martial arts movies, Van Damn was the MAN!
I love Michael he's so humble to tell the truth
"he's not on the same level as me" yea so humble 🙄
Steven Seagal on being an actor - "Can I laugh in your face?"
Im a HUGE Van Damme fan thanks to my dad getting me to watch the movies when Jean Claude was still in his Prime, he was a MENACE 😤🔥 id pay to watch Orime Michaell Jai White vs Prime Vann Damme🥶
Mike be on VladTV violating Steven Seagal😂😂😂😂
😅😅
Wouldn't even be a contest
MJW always looks like he’s had enough of Glad’s questions haha
Well he has been on the show for like a billion time
He's always got this "WTF are you doing?" look on his face. It always seems like it's when he is focused on someone speaking to him. He and Van Damme both look to be genuinely good people. They had to have some pretty interesting conversations while working together.
😂😂😂😂
Talking like a man, knowing not showing.
One can only like and respect Michael Jai White.
Michael always makes me smile and Seagal always makes me laugh. A person can just say "Steven Seagal" and I practically burst into laughter.
Great story about Van Damm legit sparring
Yet disrespects him by claiming he is not in the same level as him. And also said Van Damme isn't a Martial Artist in an interview with the voice.
@@cookeditthat ain’t disrespect. That’s just a fact. He was in active fighting. Van damn was in movies not competition but he wasn’t afraid to get in the ring for live sparring. That ain’t disrespect bro.
@@Loggie20How's it not disrespectful? He said Van Damme wasn't a Martial Artist and Van Damme did compete in European Kickboxing tournaments, at a higher level than MJW.
Umm no it is disrespectful if you competed in MA and someone says you're not a real martial artist rofl. Or if it's not disrespectful it's a miscommunication.@@Loggie20
Blah blah.
Hard To Kill was and still is a fire ass movie 😂🔥
The Tyson quote is accurate here. Maybe more accurate, the Joe Rogan belief that every man needs to be hit in the mouth and then learns how to fight. A fight truly takes more than talking shit. Straight truth. Jai calls it like it is.
I've known many people that have trained for years that don't know how to fight. Taking a punch is part of it, but the willingness to really try to hurt someone is a bigger part. A lot of people just don't have that switch that allows them to literally turn someones face into pulp.
True respect among the real fighters.
What a guy he doesn’t put anybody down. He’s a true martial artist.
Van Damme said he no longer holds anything against Seagal in an interview promoting Expendables 2 and wishes him well.
This was a very diff tone from Michael about Van Damme. Glad to hear it.
Jean Claude bout bidness😂😂😂😂😂😂
Van Damme is a legend, jai white finally recognised
There's nobody more honest than Michael Jai White. Great Guy.
Michael and Van Damme are competitive fighters in the past. And they are both humble and grounded my sensei is like that too.👍
Jean Claude fought Jason David Frank too RIP
No lol. They didnt fight. JDF tried to instigate one though.
Jason David Frank was an actual fighter who would probably have given MJW trouble. JDF fought in MMA and won a few matches too.
Van Damm would've landed 2 of those slow azz round house kicks on Seagal before he even squared up.😂😂😂
Van Damme competed in full contact karate with knocks outs and won a couple of trophies in Belgium. I don't know anything about the level of competition he faced, though. Steven Seagal on the other hand did some aikido which is basically yoga with somersaults. There's no record whatsoever of him ever being in a real fight.
He was competing against high level. One of his opponents, Patrick Teugels, was ranked #1 or 2 competitor in the world/Europe.
yoga with somersaults lol
sport fighting is not a real fight, Seagal was in real street fights.
MJW changed the story’s always- to suits him.
@@bshaw71 what? were you there? your comment does not even make sense lol another drugged up guy lol.
Growing up me and my dad didn't know the name of the actors. So we called Steven Seagal "fast hands" and Jean-Claude "guy that does the splits". But we both knew the name. Jackie Chan.
That's the best way of putting it, all those aikido videos are a performance
Saying Vlad could beat Seagal is crazy 😂
Right Seagal would wash him not even close
Vlad would beat himself before anything. lol!
Vlad was a competitive wrestler
@@DowntownLaLife I agree, he would wash him then dry him with his blankey
Seagal can't even beat his meat because he's too fat to find it.
I've always wanted to see an event where celebrity fighters get in the ring.
same. always thought it would be cool if it took place and was taken seriously. good call.
Look up "celebrity boxing" from FOX in the 90s
I always been a supporter of Van Dame!
Mad respect for Michael Jai White, always giving and always keeping it real
Like listening to Michael Jai White , so honest
This is perfectly put. Steven Seagal was an actor who trained in a bit of martial arts. Van Damme was a martial artist who learned to act.
Aikido looks good on screen that's why he got picked up for movies even though the martial arts in his movies are whatever his stunt double knows
Good honest interview.
Vlad is genius !!! Same questions different people 365
Segal, Stallone, Van man Damn , Yayo, 50, boosie!!!!
Mr. White always is explaining things wisely! 👏👏
Michael jai White is Tha most respectable stand up guy you could meet.. love that dude
Seems a bit childish to me to talk trash about other people and who can beat who in a fight. Big deal if you have a big ego. Respect to all with a dedication to martial arts or other passions. ❤🙏🏻💪🏼
“Van Damme is not afraid to spar people…he sparred ME…” 😂😅😅
😅😅😅
At the time Van damme was doing movies while Michael was still competing actively. His reflexes were faster and mentally he was in a different place....yes it sounds cocky but if you really look at what he's trying to say it makes sense. Micheal could have cheap shotted him and gone around with a story of beating up the almighty Van damme...so for him it was a reason to respect Van damme for trusting him
@@badrobotNGFACTS
Jean Claude is actual martial artist. In kick boxing and Steve is a master of BS martial arts that does not work.
You mean bullshido
Michael Jai White keeps it real. Very credible guy. Respect.
Thank you. What a great honest interview.
Michael has downplayed JCVD's fighting ability in the past, glad he at least said he could take out Seagal. Nobody wanted to hear that back then, "Seagal will snap anyone's neck with AIKIDO!" At one point back then there were 12 legit martial artists including some champion pro kickboxers who wanted fight Seagal for running his mouth.

Michael Jai White is just saying this because Steven Seagal said Michael is not a real fighter. Seagal was brought in by Anderson Silva & Machida and helped them tremendously they both said this. Van dam is 5ft tall. Look up old Seagal teaching Akido and you will see. Seagal had is own dojo in Japan and was a true martial artist. Glaad needs to get his facts straight!

Someone who actually knows the truth. Saying the only westerner to ever reach grand master 7th Dan in Japan is not a Martial artist is ridiculous. Of course he has had fights.
@@danm2400
The dojo didn't belong to Seagal. It belonged to his father in law. The only reason why Seagal got his black belt was due to the judge falling asleep and rewarding it to him out of embarrassment.
@@irvinmorales1409 Just not accurate. You know it's as hard to get each dan as it is to get the black belt. He got to to 7th dan. While admittedly there is some shadyness involved in some awards you don't get to that super elite grandmaster level without being an absolute expert. @@EMT_Rickthis happened at SCORES a stripclub in NYC and it was well known at the time. The guy who KO’d him was Chuck Zito, an OG Hell’s Angels who was a lifelong martial artist in his own right. It’s kind of strange no one else brought it up becuase it was well known that Zito was like a real life badass from the streets.
He's not gonna do it for fun or if somebody calls him out like they were in Junior High School or something. That's one of the first rules you learn is you don't go around beating people up. It's only to be used as a last resort. So if other martial artists don't take it seriously and disobey what their sensei taught them then they're in the wrong. Not the guy who doesn't want to fight. 🤷
MJW has beef so he playing into this narrative. Or he might just be that thick maybe. Either way to say Seagal wasn't a real martial artist is a joke. He way more legit that MJW
Michael Jai is still my favorite!

@@Katzenhase nope you dont , he also did full contaact he said it himself almost got in trouble with his manager because he was injured and almost could not get a movie done, you dont even know that the main style he does has full contact bare knuckle full contact fights and if he has a high black belt level in that style its mandatory you go too the fights its part of the promotion tests, so you were just schooled, and plus that is the problem with most martial schools they issue blackbelts, in 2 years and less sometimes not even really earning it and they dont do pressure testing or full contact sparring or tournaments, so you dont knoe for sure if what your learning even works.
@@jonmacist He’s never had a professional MMA fight. He’s been challenged but hasn’t accepted.
He claims to have black belts in seven different martial arts, and claims to know nine different martial arts. But I found nothing to that supports those claims. He claims to have studied Brazilian jiu-jitsu-though that’s not one of the martial arts in which he claims to have a black belt. He has no apparent training in either wrestling or Muay Thai, two other arts that are often the basis for MMA fighters. He also doesn’t claim to know Judo. or Sambo.
The photos of him show a ripped, muscled person. In fact, too muscled for most MMA fighters. In a fight, those muscles need constant energy. I suspect that he’s too muscle-bound to be an efficient MMA fighter. And in reading about his workout routines, there’s little or no mention of any cardio. Their not a single evidence that MJW completed in full contact competition and is all base on his own words and also their was no fighter stay that MJW is a fighter and after his point sparring and he went straight to acting and he was a school teacher, showman , actor and Director, and have appeared over 62 films more than Van damme or Segal and 3 times more films than Bruce Lee.
@@benselman6477 The 7 or 8 black belts would be easily found , and BJJ is one of them he studied that first, not much resherach you did and his main style is Kykoshin which is the most realistic and toughest style, so you dont know much, not only do they kick below the waist as well as high, they incorpate knees and elbows and low kicks, gee everything they use in MMA, plus he has legit boxing seperate, and in Kykoshin also fights full contact bare knuckle, punch to the body no gloves and kicks to the head and face which he did compete in as its mandatory in that style to fight to get promoted in the belts, most real styles even have mandatory full contact sparring to prove you can fight and not just learn the moves. Its common sense he has the skills, fighting in a sport does not prove you can fight, can you win a street fight and save your life and your families life that is what matters. Plus you fault a guy for making 3 times more money doing movies and avoiding Brain damage, then trying to prove something fighting ina sport. Micheal already laughed saying his broke UFC friends keep asking him for money so who is more successful.
