Yea for Deathstalker!! I only have read the first two but there are 8 in total! I have been using the series as a palette cleasner in between other books as the chapters are super long and as of book 2 each chapter switches to alternating storylines! I so do appreciate you finally picking up the series, it is the best gift I could receive. Jonathan @ Words in Time said it was the most underrated book and it looks like so far I am the only one to read it since that video aired.
Good job, Daniel! Solid picks all around! I've been thinking about reading Pathlighter next after I wrap up The Elements of Time. That's on my eBook TBR, and the cover catches my eye every time. The Black Crown is a fun read!
Wonderful and great video Andrew! Thank you for now getting me to put J.A. Andrews and Simon R Green books on my list!! Simon's books look so cool! I'm reading manga and 11/22/63 (great so far, my god, Jake in the Kitchener Ironworks haunts me, ah). I got Terry Brooks Shannara on humble bundle (excited to read). Have a great day!
@@fehner27 have a wonderful day! 11/22/63 is fantastic I hope you enjoy 😊. J.A. Andrews is spectacular I hope you enjoy. I’m very excited to get into Simon R Greene
It's always fun to see what people are planning to read! One of the great things about Booktube is learning about indie fantasy books. Thanks for sharing and happy reading! 📚
Love all these picks! Especially curious to see how your Brent Weeks jourey will go, I personally really enjoyed all of Light Bringer, even if the ending wasn't the best (though not nearly as bad as people make it out to be). Happy reading!!
Daniel seems to have given you an overload of progression fantasy/lit rpg books - good luck! I can't understand how that sub-genre is as popular as it is.
I think that’s awesome your entire TBR was picked 😂 you are a greater man than I. It’s a cool concept cause I’m sure you discover some fantastic reads you otherwise wouldn’t have. Curious to see your Brent weeks thoughts-I have yet to dip into his books but because of the mixed reviews of his series’s as a whole, I’ve put it off.
@@Chance.Dillon This is the first time so hopefully it goes well lol 😆. I’ve read some weeks but it was a while ago. I got my fingers crossed but I left myself an escape hole just in case
The first book in the perfect run series was bloody amazing. I also enjoied the second one Each book gets smaller so i think better to read all 3 at once like 1 big book
I haven’t read Lightbringer but I can say that Night Angel definitely gets over hated. It has its flaws but there’s also some deep themes that Weeks explores in the series. If most grimdark is nihilistic, then Weeks grimdark Night Angel sits as a refutation to that idea.
Awesome TBR! Im excited to see what you think of Lightbringer. Always wanted to read it but the negativity towards the end of the series has kept me away. Planning to read it on 2025 so interested in your experience!
I wonder if I would go for Night Angle now. I tried it years ago and was turned off by the fame vs assassin aspect. Right off there is a fight, and as an assassin no one knows who he is...but everyone KNOWS who he is. More like Batman than an assassin.
After a very ambitious (but very rewarding) Summer TBR, this Autumn I am gonna be a bit more mood reading with no «big chonkers». I know I am definitely gonna read «Leviathan Wakes» (The Expanse #9, Space Opera, only book I didn’t get to from my Summer TBR) & «Lustrum» (US: «Conspirata», Cicero Trilogy #2, Historical Fiction about the eponymous Roman Statesman) by Robert Harris (book #1 «Imperium» is contending for my book of the year so far, together with GGK’s «A Brightness Long Ago»). I am most likely also gonna get to Michael Moorcock’s «(The Tale of)The Eternal Champion» Trilogy (Epic Fantasy/S&S). Might also get to some Rosemary Sutcliff (YA Historical Fiction) & David Gemmell (Epic Fantasy). Cheers!
