The kid wasn't leaning, but importantly, he was using his right foot pressed against the wall behind him for balance and extra stability. You can see him push off it as he goes to stand up. Makes it much easier than what you guys are doing here!
I came here to comment the same thing. Everyone is amazed at this kid but failed to see it was just a trick. he goes down with his foot off the wall and then puts his foot on the wall to push up. Not very hard to do.
More importantly, he'd need his leg to be longer than his other one in order to do that. Kid's legit, you can see the battery is off of the wall by a good bit or there wouldn't be a shadow behind it, his foot didn't touch the wall at all.

Why so many people think his right leg is touching the wall. In the beginning you can clearly see his right leg is completely stretched out but isn't reaching the wall. Also look at his left leg. That is definitely straight but they only reach the centre of the box. The same box doesn't touch the wall so how can you say his foot can even reach the wall?
@@Bobbybats4295 pushing forward off the wall wouldn't help him push up, you make no sense. Also you can see the shadow move up the wall as his leg goes up. How you think the wall is helping him just shows you have no understanding of physics. Try doing this even without the stick with one foot way forward on a battery like that and even try to get your other foot on the wall.

It’s effectively a one arm push up with a leg raised. If you’re strong enough to do that and hold your balance, then very little force actually goes into the stick.
1)You used wooden sticks whereas his were obviously magnetic so he didn’t have to use much strength to hold them together. 2)You also didn’t lean your foot completely on a wall vertically, but on a box horizontally which made it much harder to maintain balance with one foot. So you just did a real version of what the kid was imitating. His push-up wasn’t really even a push-up because he put one foot against the wall.
I think the kid pushed on the positive point on the car battery with magnets aka. The sticks (with a spool?). And made contact with the negative battery. Making the magnets even stronger. Just a theory... so impressive you guys did it!
The kid was pushing on the wall with his right foot as support. You guys definitely had it harder. Leaning is just a matter of strictness in pushup since your body naturally wants to curve with one arms. Though if you don't curve, your first one arm pushup without curving, makes your back/spine crack a bit.
The kid used the wall with his right foot for balance/support. Not to detract from what he did, it's still incredible. Just pointing out facts. The guys posting this video did a more difficult version and that's why they're leaning.
There's also something to be considered about the weight difference between an adult and kid. However there is just some insane muscle control that most experienced body builders and calisthenics pros don't have.
The kid was using his other foot against the wall behind him to help him climb upward. Still difficult of course. But it helped him balance and counter weight.
