      They do have feelings. I have Jacko Chimps and all other types of animals and they each get my attention or I feel bad because they may think there's favouritism.

    Also unless you do a load of laundry on cold, don't put stuffed animals in the washer and dryer! Heat damage comes easily to faux fur. Hand wash instead :)

      Yeah I’m washing my stuffed animal right now, he’s in the washing machine but of course I put it on cold. And delicate and he’s in a pillow case

    • @vincetravis8701
      @vincetravis8701 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      The best way to wash stuffed animals (without hand washing) is to put your stuffed animals in a white zip-up pillowcase, set your machine to cold/delicate cycle, and then set your dryer on low heat or air only. Once dry, brush your stuffed animals with a boar brush or slicker brush to knock out any tangles or mats.
      If you DO decide to hang dry your stuffed animals, hang them in an area with air flow. Long periods of dampness can cause mold to grow inside your stuffed animals (which can be bad for health).
      Also, *pay attention to what your stuffed animals are stuffed with!* It's actually very important for you to know so you know how to wash them. Most modern stuffed animals are stuffed with polyester filling, which makes it safe to be used in a washer and dryer. If your stuffed animal contains plastic lentils (beanie babies for example) or genuine organic cotton, then it's best for them to be hand washed as those materials can combust if exposed to high heat (cotton especially).

  • @nicole_toast
    @nicole_toast 3 ปีที่แล้ว +16

    Good job!! Vanilla turned out so great! I find the best stitch to use when closing a stuffy is using the ladder stitch. It’s actually suuuper easy and makes the end product look seamless!
    I do suggest tho that if you have an easier time with a running stitch, you should pull your needle through the outside of the fabric rather the inside so you don’t get the extra fabric seams to show in the end.
    Sewing with the two sides together and sewing on top with the ladder stitch

    I've been looking to get my bear repaired and restorated. I don't know though, I'm not sure I could part with him for even one night. I love him so much. He's almost exactly like Vanilla actually. Maybe someday when I'm brave enough to part with him, we could collab lol

    Do you have any tips on restoring shnook plushies

  • @thomasplouffe1363
    @thomasplouffe1363 ปีที่แล้ว

    this is why you NEVER put soft toys in the washing machine and dryer, especially the dryer, the second you said hes been in the washer i went "ohhh nooo" dryers and stuffed animals is the worst combo ever because the heat melts the plush, plus the "cotton" inside them is made from plastic fibers and melts inside and sticks to the fabric, if you need to wash a stuffed animal use a steam cleaner, some stuffed animals can go into the washer but only on selective settings, if you need to put one in the dryer place it on low heat and on gentle wrapped inside of a pillow case thats tied shut in the opening

      @@bearcareasmr2976 so cool! I was wondering, (if you know) can you wash stuffed animals with hard pellets? Mine is super old, and I’m afraid that he is dirty. But, I’m also very scared that the pellets will expand if I dunk him in water. Do you have any advise to clean him?

      @@laylawhitmore5884 It is unlikely that they will absorb water but it would make the drying process a bit long or it may cause mildew. I would recommend opening a small hole, emptying the contents in a container, put the stuffie in the washer (or wash by hand).

    Everybody don't throw away your teddy bears they could be recycled into new teddy bears so the next in generation will enjoy
