Christopher Cross will be absolutely honored when he hears this! And, for the record, Benji did a great job emulating his inner Michael McDonald on this too!! Fantastic...as usual!!!
Huh? No he wasnt at all! Maybe only "underrated" by laymen who dont know music. He got his due credit by many and was/is a well respected artist. I find that people who use that lame "underrated" line usually are people who just are discovering the artist and think everyone else is like them and never knew the artists popularity and standing within the community. C. Cross was never "underrated". You just werent aware of him.
Agreed, not only the complexity in the arrangement but also realizing the gifted talent it takes to emulate a performance such as this is very refreshing,,many do not realize what it takes to delivery night after night show after show as a (Cover Band) to an audience that expects the same audio performance live that they have on mastered media formats not to mention adding the dynamics of a live performance.
@Tad Lynch I have commented to the same thing. There are an infinite number of variables regarding the instruments, their tuning, the singers' delivery, the drummer, bass, keyboards, etc. A person's ear will, after hearing a song a multiple times, pick up any minute variation from the original. It just does. And in a club scene it's ok. Not a big deal. Kind of expected. But LLB is different. It's serious and personal with these guys. Only those with a driven commitment are allowed to perform.
