Yeah the Civ 5 AI does make some questionable decisions sometimes.

both cities are garbage anyway, I would have razed them and replanted since there were no good buildings in them.

Unfortunately, vanilla Civ 5 gives you no ability to check anything in the peace screen. This is why you need mods just to see what you are agreeing to.

As someone who still plays this game, I love playing as Germany and England but seeing that England just built the great lighthouse that scares me a lot if you make coastal city's watch out for them ships of the line

Oh no, don't waste liberty finisher on a great prophet. Scientist or Engineer way better. Also, unless a captured city has a lot of buildings in it, I prefer razing and planting my own settler. It's better long term for your empire especially in the happiness department. Lastly, when you take a capital even if you want to annex it, always puppet it first. It's useless until resistance is over anyway, so there is no need to eat the extra unhappiness from annexing. You can always annex later.

Great to se you back in Civ V. But King difficulty? I think you can do much better. You are a smart player even if you are a bit rusty. You just going to snow ball this world, like you all ready had start to do, but I'll probably watch it anyway. Just would like to see you little more struggle with you good old Civ V neighbors which will always grant us so much love on joy.

I think you heal twice as fast if you are in your territory, no need to have them in the city to get the heal bonus.
