Ha.... 4 years later from when you posted, I found your video, did the secret button code sequence to get into the service setting modes and did the semi-factory reset. Dang.... its working again!! Thanks, I owe ya!!
THANK you! I’ve been struggling with this printer for months. I’d about given up! Since we are home bound during Coronavirus, we need this printer to work...and now it does! HP owes you a commission!!
I went through this process and found it very helpful to reset. I have a 7520 All-in One Printer. Now having trouble with black ink not printing. All cartridges are full. I've cleaned the print heads, removed the ink holder, washed with luke warm water and dried fully. All other colors print, no black. Thank you for this great video and helping get my printer half way to working. The above process with cleaning with water helped one other time. Not so much now.
Thank you for your help, I can confirm your learnings (HP Support and Customer orientation)... You Video is more helpful than the whole documentation which comes with the printer. Unfortunately your great video did not help me with my HP OfficeJet Pro 8730. All the different ways of reseting the printer did not help me to reset the pw of the embedded web server - unfortunately.
Thank you for this information. After I partially reset it, it did not work, I did again the whole thing and it downloaded something in the printer, I guess that it updated the program, and then it worked!!!!
Unfortunately the semi-full reset did not result in wireless connection to my router. I went into my router settings and manually entered the MAC address to the permitted addresses, which seemed to work even though I didn't have MAC filtering on...perplexing.
zachary bice , could be that your router has some sort of antivirus that was blocking the connection. that is my best guess. I’ve never come across that issue before. side note, a problem I solved recently that may come in handy for certain people: if you have a mesh system with 1 global ssid that automatically switches devices to different frequencies, you may want to create a guest wifi with only a 2.4ghz connection. some devices do not play well with this feature resulting in disconnects a short while after reconnecting. ex: my pool control box kept disconnecting because my router kept trying to push it to a 5ghz connection. even though it looked capable of 5g, it wasn’t.
Fantastic! Anyone know how to get into engineering mode on an HP DeskJet 3636? I need to reset the admin p/w for the EWS. Tried all the tips and tricks I can find on the web so far. There has to be a way and your vid gives me some hope. Imagine if you bought a new router and the manufacturer didn't provide you with a way to reset it along with a default password! They would not have many customers once word got out. HP are crazy making this such an annoying problem to fix. It's cost me about three hours already.
i had brand new hp😂🎊 and its useless because it can not be use in a4 size or short or legal size. i will not buy this hp anymore. gave me a hard time with this hp printer
