If you have a hotel in Nana area I would advice you to go to Phiya Thai with the ARL and then change to BTS and go to Nana instead of going to Makkassan, then one stop with MRT to Sukhumvit and another stop by BTS to Nana. Why? First it is easier to change at Phiya Thai to BTS than at Makkassan to MRT (long way). And if you do that you have to buy both at Makkasan MRT (the actual name of MRT station there by the way is Petchaburi) and at Asoke (BRT - name of Sukhumvit MRT station) tickets which can be time consuming especially in peak hours. Asoke/Sukhumvit anyway is a so busy interchange, I always try to avoid it. And even some times a day the escalators from/to MRT/BTS are only working in one direction. If you arrive at the wrong time it can add to the hassle.
Be careful as some taxi drivers purposely drive you around pretending they are lost ending up you pay more than you should have to. Make sure you watch the metre stand as some drivers switches off the metre and claim a much higher fare.
Yep many tourists and myself included has fallen to that trap, unfortunately its tough to avoid and always already too late when you realize the driver is screwing you. The Airport Rail Link and the buses is a sure way to avoid the taxi scams
I prefer an airport rail link if my destination is downtown, but my home is located in a suburban area so I get a free shuttle bus to go to a bus transportation center and get the bus to my home for less than $1. 🙅🏻♂Taxi is my last option and I recommend you avoid them if possible

Agreed, The Airport Rail Link is fast cheap and reliable.
super.sunning . ;))
Thanks! :)
The airport train is always over crowded. Many stops and changes at various stations to get to my destination. I would do better with a taxi.🤣
Different form of transport suits different passengers :)
