Hell yea! LC500 ftw! And yes, I am 💯% down with a widebody LC! Like, finally… a U.S. YT widebody LC500… bruh… that would be ultra sick! Lemme tell yea, if I had that kind of money, I for sure would get a LC500 and I would definitely have gone widebody myself, so I’m with ya bro! And the Armytrix… that woulda been my choice as well! Bro, you are basically building my dream LC build!! The sexiest car in existence, dude, I’m excited!
I’m glad you’re sticking with the LC. I recently subscribed when I came across your channel, strictly because of the LC. There’s not much GS-F, RC-F, and LC500 content. I’m an HUGE F fan and the LC500 is my dream “affordable” sport luxury car. It will last forever and value will just appreciate over time.
Floridian: I just bought a new Lexus LC500 from Lexus of Clearwater. It was a new 2023 leftover from the showroom with 3 miles on it. They gave me a great deal on it. I also have a GR Supra which I've added exterior mods mostly. I can't bring myself to mod brand new cars. When I pick up my daughter from school, we usually swing by Chick-fil-A and grab a milkshake and french fries before we head home. I've noticed there's a lot of younger kids standing outside of Chick-fil-A to take your order. Every time I pull in with my GR Supra there's always 5 kids that work there that hover around the car and ask me about 1000 questions. They even run in and grab their friends that work in the kitchen to come out and look at my Supra. The day I drove the LC500 from the dealership, I picked up my daughter from school and did the same routine of swinging by Chick-fil-A. Not one kid said a word about the LC500 they just took my order. Being confused about this when we got home, I hopped into my GR Supra and drove back to Chick-fil-A just to see how they would react. Again, all the kids came running out of the kitchen and a few that were eating inside also came out. Again, they just kept asking me question after question about the Supra. There's always 20 car line up in there drive-threw So there's a lot of time to answer "A LOT" of their questions. "Side Note" One thing I did notice is that when I picked up my daughter from school a lot of the parents and teachers had remarks about how much they liked my new car "LC500", but never said a word when I drove my GR Supra to her school except driving by the kids while they remarked rev the engine or peel out!! I'm so confused about this 😮.. I also own a "1992 Toyota MR2 Turbo" that I purchased new at Sutherland Toyota Pinellas Park back then. My MR2 is in immaculate condition. garage kept, as all my cars are, It has 38k miles on it and the only mod I did was repaint the car because I didn't like the old-fashioned black trim that runs down each side of the car that car manufacturers did in the 90s to every car. I wanted it to look like it was dipped in Ferrari red paint. When I take the T-Tops off the MR2 and drive that car around everyone under 20 years old has no clue what it is and loses their mind. Since I don't have any add on side skirts, spoilers or wings that date the car, it looks like It just rolled it off the dealership lot. It's very confusing to be driving $110,000 car but most are interested in the $68,000 Supra. Maybe there's so many Supra videos on TH-cam that they just created a playlist and watch them over and over again thinking about the day they'll have one.
@@Tritonal92 I think you got something there when you said you'd rather be incognito then in a car that attracts too much attention. That just flooded back so many memories driving the GR Supra at Christmas time. I started getting panic attacks like everybody driving next to me, felt like they were following me, wished that you brought that up they probably were. I did have a lot of older people come up to me and not understand what the GR Supra was. It was like the twilight zone.
Air would ride the best. Especially for the grand touring nature of the car which is to say you wanna kinda keep the ride comfortable. That would be my recommendation as someone who has changed suspension on many cars. I can tell you work almost 100% certainty that the rest of the struts are gonna go soon. Mine didn't last a year.. On all of my vehicles haha
It's a canon event for car guys to build a car to be "unique" or "different" to the extreme then in hindsight realize stock was REALLY good. I bet you nobody's done a safari mod on the LC500 ;)
I am at the same place as you. I’ve had my LC on those same RSR Titanium Down Springs, and some deep concave BC forged 21’s all around. Fitment is perfect, but the lip kit really puts me on the ground. Looking forward to what you do! 💪🏾
On my LC, I ditched the oem 21" wheels with the runflats and went to a BC forged 20" with a performance summer tire. Made a huge difference in ride quality and handling dynamics. Going to the forged wheels, lost a ton in unsprung weight. Pretty happy with the results so far.
20s ultra ugly for the lc500. Defeats the purpose of the lc500, which is to be a beautifully aesthetic gt cruiser. I will say that going for 21 inch forged wheels with non-rf tires is the best compromise. BBS dura RI-D, FI-R, or Advans GT premiums/beyond are the most attractive forged options
All the best with the build Travis. Have been building mine as well. Lowered, splitter, skirts, diffuser. Mid-pipe. Rear cowling. Now adding Artisan Spirits hood, spoiler and Anrky wheels. Will be watching from afar!
Greetings from Frisco. I’m in the same boat where you were… I’m trying to decide what to do when my lease wraps up in 6 months and I’ve been looking at exactly the same vehicles with a very similar use case. I’m anxious to see what you do with the LC. I love everything about it from what I’ve seen, but I wish it had just a little bit more power.
Happy for you, would love it if you do the GT3 wing, also if you did the starlight headliner that’d be sweet, wondering if anyone’s ever supercharged their LC?
You know a custom mod I would like to see that I haven’t seen is to make the back side windows roll down. Just have that whole window area come down and be WIDE OPEN! Those windows come down in the convertible they should do it for the coupe
Wheels look great, I went with 21s on my LC, look just as good and rides a little better. Do not bag, stupid IMO. I would go with the RSR adaptive coilovers. Also, I like the wide bodies, but I couldn't cut my fenders. Go for it if you want to take that step.
I just bought an Armytrix exhaust for my LC. It’s a beautiful and well crafted exhaust, but damn it’s insanely loud. Full throttle can be heard from 10 blocks away, no joke. It doesn’t sound as good as the stock exhaust as it adds more raspy, but I’m still glad I got it. The racecar noise actually makes the LC feel faster.
Glad you decided to keep it! I have a 2022 model and trying to figure out what to do with it as well. I also have a Mach 1 Mustang and want to make some mods to it also, but may wait until the warranty expires first.
If you want to make a great improvement on the car, for $200 throw a throttle position control kit on. It will turn it into a spunky, responsive and exciting car without spending thousands. No overall horsepower gain but it won’t matter.
RCF is more performance-oriented by design and focus of course. This car is more about ambiance and luxury The wieght of the LC is its biggest issue that no mod can fix but adding for induction which tunning still isnt there. If you want a 2UR for the track the RCF is far better if you want a fantastic GT cruiser and a cars & coffee car the LC is it. Sadly most peopel ruin this car by bagging it slamming it and thats kind of the typical LC build running it from its high end look but to each their own right.
I traded my RC-F in for the LC500, The RC was definitely a better performance car, quicker, a little lighter could shift gears at the stick, not just the paddles and was more fun to throw around. The LC is definitely more refined, rarer and better looking, but pricey and more expensive to ensure. I wish I could have kept them both TBO, but if I had to pick one it's the LC, but not by a lot. Also, a lot more aftermarket support for the RC-F.
