Some years ago I did a circuit like yours and stopped for a drink out of a creek. I lay my rifle and gear down then got down to drink the water. I was doing this for a few minutes when I noticed movement to my left, drinking out of the same creek just a short distance away was a mob of Sika. They were oblivious to my presence, I carefully reached for my trusty Sako .243 and then all hell broke loose, half rn one way the rest the opposite direction, then the ones that bolted northwards turned 180 degrees to rejoin the others, this was happening only a few hundred metres from Clements Road.
