      My favorite instance of this is when Booker calls out Comstock for abandoning his daughter when he confronts Comstock. Extremely rich irony.

  • @yesuyo
    @yesuyo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +84

    Forgiveness.. that separated Booker and Comstock. Comstock forgave himself his actions in Wounded Knee, Booker couldn't. That little variable changed everything.

      I am unsure, it is more of Comstock ran away his own guilt just like what he did in Rapture. As Rosalind Lutece says, “Comstock is never one to own up his errors”

    • @wojtekreliga3881
      @wojtekreliga3881 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@yaujj65That is such a lie what Rosalind said!
      Before He was murdered by DeWitt, Comstock admitted he was a fool. He was sending a soldier and tried to brainwash Elizabeth when he could just tell his "daughter" the truth, about her story and his own identity.

    4:12 is my favorite. “REJOICE! REJOICE! DEATH HAS NO STING!” is just too insane to not be awesome

    • @wojtekreliga3881

      What does it exactly mean?

    • @huntersmarkgaming6793
      @huntersmarkgaming6793 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@wojtekreliga3881 Where, O death, is your sting?" (1 Corinthians 15:54-56). Death's horrific sting is a result of sin. Death only loses its sting when death is no longer a punishment, but rather a transition. Believers no longer need to feel the sting of death, since Jesus has achieved everlasting life for believers.

    Its so interesting to see and hear these quotes in game. The demonic echo from Comstock hints so harshly on how horrible Comstock is as a human being, just like Booker. The more you learn playing, the Vix Populi, Jeremiah Fink…. Racism and torture, lies deception…. No matter what universe and life Booker is in…. He is such a horrible human being. Such an amazing way to depict a character you play as and go to kill.

      If you’re talking about this voice augmentation being used in modern day, but pre-recorded, I’d say the use of delay / echo, layering, double tracking or overdubbing, obviously these are associated more often with music, however, it can work just the same with a voice.
      As for distortion / modulation in real time, you’d need to be some *ACE* at foot pedal control as you could possibly use foot pedals to delay, deepen, distort and echo your voice, however, you’d need to use the effects wisely and with well thought out control. Lastly, if we were regarding the modulation of a voice in the late 1800’s, I have no idea.

  • @JabamiLain
    @JabamiLain 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Who do you think that it was who visited Comstock ? And what do you think it was her agenda ?Remember, Comstock is still Booker, simply amplified to his worst. And considering Booker's comments regarding Rapture and Columbia, it's pretty obvious Comstock could never have thought of creating Columbia alone. Someone had to give him the idea. And if we take into consideration that Rapture and Columbia are twin realities and the theories saying that Eleanor is Elizabeth reincarnated (in another time, and another place), that means whoever visited Comstock, had an agenda for Anna, and the cities were her baptism to prepare her for said agenda.

      Technically, Comstock is a reverse of Daisy Fitzroy. Fitzroy being a libertarian left and Comstock being an authoritarian right.
      Andrew Ryan was extremely liberal, however, he was also right winged. So him and Comstock have that in common.
      The reverse of Andrew Ryan is an authoritarian left. Which means Sofia Lamb is the reverse of Andrew Ryan

    • @MisterJohnDoe
      @MisterJohnDoe 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s Sofia Lamb...

    • @aplix747
      @aplix747 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@RunnerEye Andrew Ryan is a libertarian-right. Who commonly despise taxes and any regulations on the market or how they live their lives. That's why Ryan decided to create a taxless, lawless society where only private security keeps any remote peace. Because of this crime absolutely blossomed in the city and countless inhumane experiments took place with nobody having any regard for eachother. Adam is a metaphor for the greed (Adam biting into eve's apple of knowledge to sacrifice morals for power, it's obvious) of those in rapture as it grants every ideal attribute you could ever want. Inhumane strength, shooting fireballs from your hands, but it shows that greed always corrupts. Sofia lamb was right, but she never knew that she could also be so easily corrupted by power and worship.
