I found that Spirit of Light was a safe way of dealing with Medusa, and kills her in a reasonable amount of time. It also avoids you having to pray that you don't hit her buggy hitbox while jumping up, since you can maintain a decent distance and snipe her. Hell, in fact I prefer using it even with the Vampire Killer unlocked. Even with gear optimised for high STR with Berserker Mail included, Spirit of Light does more damage per hit. But of course I can understand that some players would prefer being aggressive, and then hitting her with regular weapons or the Vampire Killer could work out better for them.
Wow that is a great advise since i am stuck in this boss on hard mode... However i still cannot even beat Dawn of sorrow's death on Julius mode without being flung around like a rag so i bet i would still die in level 1 mode pretty much instantly.
