The Castlevania saga is among my favorites in the world of video games. I play them since the first . After playing it, I suggest you take a look at the game Bloodstained Ritual of the Night (this one I have a 100% gameplay video too) and Bloodstained Curse of the Moon 1 & 2, you will also like.
Nice dude!. I recently did a level one run as well. I didn't 100% though because grinding with low luck on level one is annoying, but the 999 luck cheat seems like a good way to play.
It's definitely the best way I like to play Hard Lv.1. Without the luck, the guide would take hours and hours recording videos to get all drop of items, and later on editing as well. Konami did very well in OoE compared to SoTN removing critical hits. As the chance of critics on SoTN was related to your stats luck, playing it with Luck 999 would make the game even easier tahn it is. As for OoE, even with luck 999, the difficulty remains challenging, saving only your farm time. A good choice for casual play.

@@darkyudaI hope the next Netflix adaptation after "Nocturne" is a mix of "Legacy of Darkness", "68" and "Order of Eclesia" (the latter because we are never specified when in the 1800s it's set). I imagine the story would be about Barlowe and the Actrise trying to corrupt either Xanoa or Cornell, more likely Xanoa. One thing I hope to see on that show, is to see Aida remember it was her older brother who murdered her biological parents, leaving her prone to be bitten and ready to fight for her masters. Nothing personal, I just don't think it's good for her to forget something like that. I imagine the story would begin with Cornell and Aida (Barlowe would be the mastermind trying to get the curse's power for Dominus), but while he would succeed at saving her by giving up his power, I imagine Guilles would turn her into one and use her to torment the former werewolf. Then, we would jump to the "68" storyline, only this time including Xanoa instead of Dracula's kid version.

The drops from some chests in each stage are RNG. There may be common drops and rare drops. Green chests are rare drops. The chests are infinite, they reappear each time you enter the stage.

I'm already playing that and its very, very, very hard. I'm not using cheat because i'm playing Retro Achievments. And sincerely, i can't use so much Glyph union like you. Its extremely hard. Bosses are easier than scenarios.
I agree with you. For me the hardest part of all was Ruvas Forest, a small scenario, but with enemies appearing from all sides. Death, Eligor, Dracula are nothing compared to this.

You need to complete the game once on normal to enable Hard Mode. Playing in Hard Mode, after completing it in Cap Lv.1, unlocks the cap Lv.255 for Normal and Hard. In Gamefags you can found some save data with Lv. Hard and Cap LV.255 unlocked.
@@darkyuda Yeah, I’m aware you need to complete Normal once to unlock Lv 1 Hard. But from what I’ve seen you have an option for a NG+ where you carry some stuff over? Like glyphs, etc.. That’s what I’m asking about, unless I’m just wrong.

It is a droppable item. These are items that have a certain chance of appearing after defeating enemies. This Axe (Ascia) glyph has an 8% chance and, if I'm not mistaken, it is guaranteed to drop or appears somewhere to be collected in the monastery if you are playing on Hard mode.
For example at 6:45 when Shanoa absorbs the rapier glyph. Or at 12:20 when you arrive at the Monastery. I can hear that the audio is corrupted, by that I mean that it doesn't sound like it should. I haven't watched it all yet so I can say if its through all of the video. I tried it on two computers as well and it happens on both. I thought about bringing it to your attention. As a fellow youtuber I think it's important to have each other's back. I love your gameplays by the way, I watch them in the background while working. I truly respect the amount of effort you put in them. Cheers!
@@oliro Thanks for the feedback. Audio distortion sometimes happens in video, usually when Shanoa is interacting with some villager. For example the interaction with Abram at 57:09 and 1:40:23. I managed to get around some by changing Desmume's audio settings, but some of them remained, like at 1:59:21. A high-pitched squeak. The curious thing is that it didn't appear during gameplay, I didn't listen, it only appeared later in the finished recording. I believe most of them could have been avoided if I had recorded the audio a little lower. Only after it was done, my brother pointed this out to me that I realized that the sound was really loud.
The one you quoted at 12:20, arriving at the monastery must be incompatibility with Desmume. I remember starting the game several times, with low sound and various audio settings from Desmume, but this audio distortion always happens.
That's very interesting, and good to know. In my experience it can sometimes be pretty complex to solve a sound issue like that. I have a similar issue where my audio interface would start behaving after a while. The workaround I found is to toggle a different bandwidth and then toggle the original back. I'm currently watching the gameplay and its perfectly watchable. You're very good! : )
Doing it right now, fresh save, hard mode level 1 cap. No cheat unfortunately. That's fucking hell. I just passed maneater and I really think, and hope, that the double jump and divekick will change my life.

There is no way to get Luck999 in the game. It was added through the Cheat in the Desmume Emulator to make drops easier and make the video more direct in obtaining all the drops. If you are playing the new Dominus version, I believe there is still no way to get the 999 luck.
The health bar I added after the gameplay, while editing the video. It is not a native game feature or option. It could be, but there is still no mod with Healtbar Bosses.

For me, Order of Ecclesia is the best, closely followed by Portrait of Ruin. There's something about Dawn of Sorrow that doesn't appeal to me as much as the other two.

Nice dude!. I recently did a level one run as well. I didn't 100% though because grinding with low luck on level one is annoying, but the 999 luck cheat seems like a good way to play.
It's definitely the best way I like to play Hard Lv.1.
Without the luck, the guide would take hours and hours recording videos to get all drop of items, and later on editing as well.
Konami did very well in OoE compared to SoTN removing critical hits. As the chance of critics on SoTN was related to your stats luck, playing it with Luck 999 would make the game even easier tahn it is. As for OoE, even with luck 999, the difficulty remains challenging, saving only your farm time. A good choice for casual play.

I imagine the story would be about Barlowe and the Actrise trying to corrupt either Xanoa or Cornell, more likely Xanoa.
One thing I hope to see on that show, is to see Aida remember it was her older brother who murdered her biological parents, leaving her prone to be bitten and ready to fight for her masters. Nothing personal, I just don't think it's good for her to forget something like that.
I imagine the story would begin with Cornell and Aida (Barlowe would be the mastermind trying to get the curse's power for Dominus), but while he would succeed at saving her by giving up his power, I imagine Guilles would turn her into one and use her to torment the former werewolf.
Then, we would jump to the "68" storyline, only this time including Xanoa instead of Dracula's kid version.

It's a matter of habit. After about ten playthroughs and a lot of patience understanding the weakness of each enemy, Hard Lv.1 isn't difficult.
I never realized that shield glyph was so overpowered.

My god the Ruvas Forest and Skeleton Cave (with fresh Hard Lv1 data) is exhausting even by just watching them..
It's a test of patience. I reset countless times until I realized that summoning the zombie would help there in Ruvas Forest.

The drops from some chests in each stage are RNG.
There may be common drops and rare drops. Green chests are rare drops. The chests are infinite, they reappear each time you enter the stage.
@@darkyuda Ok so I noticed the brown ones are the ones that are reset. I came across another green chest that I opened earlier in the game and that one stayed open and did not reset. I just thought that was odd

Its extremely hard. Bosses are easier than scenarios.
I agree with you. For me the hardest part of all was Ruvas Forest, a small scenario, but with enemies appearing from all sides. Death, Eligor, Dracula are nothing compared to this.

Question, do you have to play on a new game to unlock the Lv 255 cap or can it be NG+?
You need to complete the game once on normal to enable Hard Mode. Playing in Hard Mode, after completing it in Cap Lv.1, unlocks the cap Lv.255 for Normal and Hard.
In Gamefags you can found some save data with Lv. Hard and Cap LV.255 unlocked.
@@darkyuda Yeah, I’m aware you need to complete Normal once to unlock Lv 1 Hard. But from what I’ve seen you have an option for a NG+ where you carry some stuff over? Like glyphs, etc.. That’s what I’m asking about, unless I’m just wrong.

I'm playing the Switch version but so far I haven't gotten this glyph from the axe is it a special item?
It is a droppable item.
These are items that have a certain chance of appearing after defeating enemies. This Axe (Ascia) glyph has an 8% chance and, if I'm not mistaken, it is guaranteed to drop or appears somewhere to be collected in the monastery if you are playing on Hard mode.

Am I the only one for which the audio is broken?
Which audio do you refer to? Is there a specific point?
For example at 6:45 when Shanoa absorbs the rapier glyph. Or at 12:20 when you arrive at the Monastery. I can hear that the audio is corrupted, by that I mean that it doesn't sound like it should. I haven't watched it all yet so I can say if its through all of the video. I tried it on two computers as well and it happens on both. I thought about bringing it to your attention. As a fellow youtuber I think it's important to have each other's back.
I love your gameplays by the way, I watch them in the background while working. I truly respect the amount of effort you put in them.

Audio distortion sometimes happens in video, usually when Shanoa is interacting with some villager. For example the interaction with Abram at 57:09 and 1:40:23. I managed to get around some by changing Desmume's audio settings, but some of them remained, like at 1:59:21. A high-pitched squeak. The curious thing is that it didn't appear during gameplay, I didn't listen, it only appeared later in the finished recording.
I believe most of them could have been avoided if I had recorded the audio a little lower. Only after it was done, my brother pointed this out to me that I realized that the sound was really loud.
The one you quoted at 12:20, arriving at the monastery must be incompatibility with Desmume. I remember starting the game several times, with low sound and various audio settings from Desmume, but this audio distortion always happens.
That's very interesting, and good to know. In my experience it can sometimes be pretty complex to solve a sound issue like that. I have a similar issue where my audio interface would start behaving after a while. The workaround I found is to toggle a different bandwidth and then toggle the original back.

How was Ruvas Forrest for you? For me it was the game change part. After that it became easier to deal with.

There is no way to get Luck999 in the game.
It was added through the Cheat in the Desmume Emulator to make drops easier and make the video more direct in obtaining all the drops.
If you are playing the new Dominus version, I believe there is still no way to get the 999 luck.
How did you put the boss healthbar?
The health bar I added after the gameplay, while editing the video.
It is not a native game feature or option. It could be, but there is still no mod with Healtbar Bosses.

But I don't have third game. That is Castlevania - Dawn of Sorrow
For me, Order of Ecclesia is the best, closely followed by Portrait of Ruin.
There's something about Dawn of Sorrow that doesn't appeal to me as much as the other two.
