Season 11, Episode 1
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

The worst is when someone says you look tierd but you feel great 😬
Tierd? That's funny, they look like they're on a flat plane from here.
The worst thing is being on the level and told you look tiered.
tired
Imagine stepping off the lift and seeing Kelly Hoppen and piers sitting there. 2 chances already gone
Lmao hahahah
Imagine believing they wanted an investment.

Better chance if Jenny was there.

Wrap It Up sounds like an NHS campaign to promote condoms
😂😂😂
😂
Before you slap it up.
LMAO
Mr Godot. It is pleasant to see you again.
They both look exhausted 😢
Wrap It up is still going and the food is unreal. Fair play to the guys for not letting the dragons demotivate them
It’s very impressive what they have achieved. Never give up.
Wrap it up is now like a bad Subway tribute act. I remember when they started out close to Embankment and they were superb.
Down to 5 branches now in London and on their last legs.
im sorry but peter saying how he looks older is just foul lmao
It absolutely is, I agree. Peter Jones is amazing at business but he can be such a dick at times.
@@erhhsdhh2099 like deadass straight up mean for no reason
Yeah I don’t get it. Not just him, but all of the Dragons have got a real chip on their shoulder. God forbid an entrepreneur gets a few numbers wrong and the dragons get all angry for no reason
Yeah that was really rude.
Business not making money. Dragons: this is too early to invest.
Business making money. Dragons: why do you need us?
You aren't in business, are you? It's absolutely reasonable to ask the expectations.
@@annaagapova3583 no am not. don't have a background at all in business. was making a remark about a trend I see in this program which sounds illogical to me. thank you for the comment :)
@@annaagapova3583 even beyond that if someone doesn't need your money but is going on television to ask for it I'd question what their motivation was.
Everyone makes fun of Jenny but I've NEVER seen Kelly make an offer before
true but kelly is so forgettable
She's a yid .... and they don't part with money easily! Besides, she probably can't see past that giant sized schonker on her face!
Kelly was awful
@@thiswasposted120 Kelly I really don't know who that is will have to go back through a few episodes!
@@thiswasposted120 Fair play, at least we're still entertained by Jenny
I knew they wouldn’t get the investment when they said “we need a 500 k investment”
500k sounds like an awful lot for a small % of a food wrap Biz. I’m out
Piers: "within 20 meters of my desk, there must be 12 to 13 businesses selling this kind of food"
i call bullshit on that statement
london it is possible
maybe he's got a really big desk

Wrap it Up got me through university. They can take my investment
The ask was too high. The Dragons never go for anything more than 100k-150k
For real. 100k is pushing it
Yeah, this is more for Shark Tank in terms of that price point.

because usa has higher gdp.
They definitely have, and do
9:46 Love how these guys react to Kelly saying that she's out. They're like 'yeah sound no worries mate would have turned you down anyway'
Yea, sure. Had she thrown a offer they would have turned her down anyway. SMH.
They wouldn't let a woman in their company unless she cleaned dishes
@@mrplow8333 what makes you say that
I really admire people in the F&B business, it's just brutal, i once was in a group of F&B co founder, back in 2015, i co founded 6 F&B brands and we were doing so good in the first 3 years, and we can't keep up with the competition and the sweat that we had to put out just to survive, and when we switched to the Sustainability products, it's just heaven for us
I have been to wrap it up over the years
They started out great, very tasty.
In the last few years they have really gone downhill.
Thats usually the way food businesses go I find, start off great and eventually go down to standard or even below standard. Shame.
@Millie.com232 They started off at close to Embankment station and I remember having some of the best wraps I have ever had from them back in 2009.
I most recently went to their branch near to Goodge street station and it was horrendous in around 2021. They had morphed into some form of bad imitation of subway. With terrible quality ingredients and a terrible system.
I went there once and never went back ever again. That branch closed and now they have only 5 left in London.
No idea how they got so bad
All about cutting costs..they hope that by skimping on more expensive ingredients and hiring kids to work for them that this won't affect their sales.
They just got scared of the 500k tbh. Too risky.
Stop scaming people. At least pay for ads LoL
Peter was startled when he heard the 500k
Peter really needs to be careful before commenting on someone’s appearance, yes he looks tired because he’s just just battled alopecia
you do realise it is heavily edited, i assume?
Alopecia literally just means ur bald 🤦🏽♂️

> the sandwich market is 6 billion
> wraps account for 4% of that
> our company made 0.03% of the market worth
> thus our company is worth 65% of the market value
I think you need to take your calculator out again.
I couldn't figure out how they were selling their product. Were they packaging it and placing it in convenience stores? Franchising street vendors? Opening up restaurants?
They definately didnt stand a chance of getting 500k from Kelly Hoppen. She wudnt even invest 20k in anyone, let alone 500k
It's just not wowing her
Lol 5 million quid for a kebab shop
Imagine being married to someone who works 100 hours a week. What would you do?
*who
They didn’t seem arsed about the dragons going out, just there for advertising
World Gourmet Restaurant Limited has a net worth sheet at end of 2021 of £1.062m, which is driven by c. £1.8m of equity investment although they have made an accumulated loss of £1.27m YTD, although was profitable this year by c. £200k.
Their losses really started piling since 2017.
This was probably a very good avoid - especially at that £500k for 11% price.
Authentic street food.... right here, roll up, roll up. Would you like an Afghani wrap ? Perhaps a Caribbean wrap? Maybe one from Thailand, or India, or Venezuela , it's so authentic that you can pick anything you want. Mongolian? We have a wrap for that. OR how about I buy an authentic wrap down the street selling amazing local food from his/her country, and it's great. Corporatizing streetfood is the limit for me, even though these guys seem really nice and I wish them the best of luck, I'm out.
No buttons in the lift!
Yeah it isn’t actually an elevator. It’s just two doors that open and close like one
The way all pitches should be, smart suits
You know it’s a disaster when they say the investment rests with Kelly Hoppen
Investment rests with the mandatory token female who invariably has no money.
Shoutout to myself for making my own lunch today 🙌
Duncan: And that’s a wrap, I’m oot
I guess this was one that wasn't up for wraps. They should just wrap it up. I guess they should just unwrap and finish.
A cook who makes every ethnic food in the world is a cook who isn't good at any one of them.
The dragons should just say they don’t have that much to offer at 500K. If the business was good they still wouldn’t do a offer lol
this business still going well it seems
Out... Out... Out... Out... Out... That's a wrap!
I dont have 500k therefor i am out.
Meaning no disrespect to the lads, but their business sounds like a "jack of all foods, master of none"
I used to call in at one of their branches for lunch occasionally, just off Pall Mall. It wasn’t bad, but your description is pretty accurate!
Even taking into account growth, it would have taken what 5 years, for the dragon to get their 500,000 back at 11%? and that is assuming, profit taking, and not throwing that money back into expansion.
what the heck do you expect? would you pay 500 k, now only to start seeing profit potentially 5 years, 10 years if the business stagnates down the road?
Currently company assets are 1.1mil. So I think they’re doing ok.
Never give up
Wrap it up - durex
"and I am a co-founder" poor guy dragged along to make up the numbers
This feels like the start to the ghost kitchen epidemic.
So many people that come on the den are so delusional. The dragons clearly tell them that the business is not worth anything like what they think, so theyre not investing, BUT they still say the dragons didn't understand the business so they didn't invest. No they understood, but a business is not worth 16 times profit
Wrap it up I thought it was a condom pitch at 1st
Is there a way you can cut the narrator? Him repeating what's just happened is very annoying
He's just reading a script and happy to have a job... he should have been cut long ago.
He drives me potty on a good day. Hate all the puns. Let him present the dragons den but could he politely shut up.
You’d have to somehow borrow the master tapes from the BBC, hire a good edit suite (probably £500 an hour) and generate a new digital file to remove the voiceover
@@mrhaltonok or you could just download the TH-cam video and edit yourself. But someone that doesn’t want to hear the narrator wouldn’t want to edit it themselves anyhow.
I like him. He has a dry sense of humor.
None of them even countered the offer

Man said you looked F uped LOL
Some franchise have wrap food ok in u.s.a

Personally, I wouldn't touch food and beverage with a barge pole...nor hotels.

I wasnt paying attention.. No idea what they pitched something about overworking and a menu
I'm watching this eating a wrap lol what are the chances
Good idea, but bad idea. (only one selection per wrap).
2 Things I don't understand in DD why so many entrepreneurs are rejected based on their evaluation(if you don't like this valuation ask for bigger share) and not knowing the numbers by hearth(why owners who have taxes done by accountants can't bring papers with all of the calculations already done)?
if you dont care enough about your business to know how it is doing...........do i need to finish that sentence?
it's about either a perceived lack of respect, or just perceived incompetence.
Some do bring their accountants with them. Not many but if you keep watching DD clips you’ll eventually come across one. 👍🏻
Within 20 seconds you know for certain that you wouldn't see your £500,000 or these two ever again within a day of investing.
Are they successful?? Love street food
They need to bring in new dragons every season, every other season. Some of them sit there too long, start making less offers and investments They get too jaded.
Also if a dragon doesn't make any offers, get someone else.
“Wrap it up” sounds like the slogan for a condom company, not a fast food one.
Dragon’s completely missed out. Wrap It Up expanded exponentially over the next few years to 70 different countries, grossing over $11bn in revenue and becoming one of the top fast food brands in the world.
Wait what
Reckon your Google fu was off, buddy. There website indicates no such growth

Street food is about good quality , lol. By defn that's incorrect
Street food is cheap , easy and convenient. If people want quality they don't go to a Street stall.
It's getting worse, a central kitchen. So much for "theatre" in front of the customer
I assume the central kitchen does all the prep work, and they just construct the wrap on site. It's not feasible for them to be cooking different kinds of meat throughout the day like street food, hence the "theatre" sounds like BS.
