Hey bro I'm a total noob in need of help, I just bought a Canon R50 today, I am trying to achieve a blurry background look for talking head content (the TH-camr look), what lens should I get? It seems getting a blurry background with the stock lens is like impossible
I desperately need help haha, could you please direct me to a Lens that would achieve a wide look with blurry background with only me in focus?

Big fan of the repair videos. I've been thinking about buying a broken camera myself, one of the DMSC2 Reds, and see if i can fix them. It's really inspiring to see that fixing a broken camera isn't rocket science, all you need are guts and little bit of luck :)
I recently bought a used Moza Aircross 2 from Buyee. It was listed as vibrating when switched on. Well you get that with gimbals when there's no load on them. I got it for about a third of the new price and it's in as new condition and works perfectly. I don't think it had ever been used, except maybe as a demonstrator.
Since it was advertised as including the battery charger, I would contact the seller and see where the charger ran off to. If they're not willing to either provide you with the original charger or cough up for a new or aftermarket one, I would send that camera back. That "glitch" is more than likely an issue with the electronics inside (bad capacitor, chip somewhere, etc), since it was present in the recorded footage. Looks like somebody managed to foist off their headache to you and made $400 in the deal.
The C300 is a great 1080 camera, very good image. It is NOT a cinema camera, it’s full on broadcast besides the PL mount.
They filmed "Blue Ruin" on it. What makes you say it's not a cinema camera?... I agree it's not a Red or Alexa.
The cable issue is well known on the C300.
I just recently sold one with this issue, should record fine.

Its weird they would choose a permenent top handle. Kind of limits the style of shots you might choose to shoot. Lots of skateboarding videos, kneecaps, staring up at the subject. If i wanted to get a handheld head level shot i would want a shoulder rig or a really beefy gimbal

Ahh...I wouldn't even pay 200$ for this old junk. Come on, aps-c sensor that records only 50mbit fullhd 4:2:0?
This is for TH-cam. He will probably make more money by making videos than by thinking about the specifications/features...
This camera would still be great for things like live streaming, a crazy webcam or just a solid extra tripod camera for event coverage.
The Canon APS-C sensors from this era are absolutely powerful and amazing. My 700D shoots with magic lantern blows my mind every time I shoot with it
