  • Spring Tulip Flower Designs | Caning Tutorial
    Happy Spring everyone! In this tutorial, you will learn how to create 3 variations of tulip cane designs: a yellow closed tulip bud, an orange half-open tulip and a red open tulip. These tulips are great for Mothers Day or any other Spring project! The polymer clay techniques I go over are: skinner blending, gradients, bullseye canes, gradient canes, and cane packing. There are tips and tricks in every section of the video so if you want to catch them, grab your drink and watch from start to finish. If you watch until the very end, you'll also learn how to use your cane slices to create neat little tulip bouquets.

    I love the way you explained the filling in of the canes.. For some reason I never think to cut out excess I just leave and it always messes up my canes when I reduce it... Grrr. Well not anymore.
    Great videos. I have watched n made most... Thanks so much!!!

      So happy to hear that Evelyn! :-) yes!! The link for the template should hopefully be in the description, it’ll take you to a website where you would choose which template and then you can download to PDF. If not, I’ll need to take a look on my laptop later today!

    I love your videos! You make cane making so easy for me. These tulips are awesome. I can’t wait to start on them. What brand of translucent clay do you use? It looks like these canes will require a large amount, so I’d better purchase plenty. 😉
    Thank you again!

    • @Jennifooclay
      @Jennifooclay  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much Marsha, i'm so happy to hear you're excited to make some canes! To answer your question, I use Sculpey Premo White Translucent (alternatively you can 'Translucent' it's just a tad yellowish). I usually get mines from Michaels, if out of stock I sign up for notifications on 'Sculpey.com' until they're back in stock and I buy a TON haha. Best of luck to you!

  • @bigfoot8085
    @bigfoot8085 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sorry if I offend you. I think it would be better if you didn't use translucent at the point where the other elements meet up. It looks like leaves are floating in space.

    • @Jennifooclay
      @Jennifooclay  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Bigfoot! No worries, not offended. I'm used to receiving artistic feedback as it helps me learn how people feel. You're feedback helps me! I was going for a type of illustrative feel, but I get what you mean!
