      Pot noodles are light weight. I'll have to sort a recipe. :)

    Portmerion is a place we have visited many times, when our sons were young my wife used to pay to take our youngest son and herself in, and I used to walk along the sands with the other two sons and get in for free, just like a lot of people did, no one ever said anything! so I think they must have accepted people did this. it's now £18 to enter! we used to go past the lighthouse and take a bbq, spend all day there, people in boats used to come round from Portmadoc and do the same! it's a beautiful place.

    It's worth the slog to the Stwlan dam on a fine day. I walked up there once on a very dreich day (as they don't say in Wales) and it was just fog all the way up and no different at the top. Until the 1980s there used to be a Crosville bus service to the dam which I took four or five times over the years, it was a thrilling ride both up and down... Steep and winding.

    What an epic bimble! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent camera work and music as always. You cycled a fair way, about 10 miles would it be? One question, do you use Google maps for all your adventures or OS maps? Looking forward to part 2. Good luck.

    • @BimblismUK
      @BimblismUK  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was about 15 miles according to google, plus walking around etc. I use google maps and open street maps. Google is good to tell you whats up hill but open street maps is good to show you all the cycle routes. More cycling in part 2. :)

    Brilliant Bimble, just one question. Would the full Trangia kit not fit better.? ,. Toured mine round Europe with a tent and an Interail ticket back in the 80s. Still got the full Trangia kit and the memories...that looked an awesome evening. Can only imagine the sounds at night

    • @BimblismUK
      @BimblismUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      It probably would. Im just a skin flint. Ha.
      I like the challenge of cooking on a trangia. Great bit of kit.

    Cool video mate do you just take bike onto the train or do you have to book ahead with it

    • @BimblismUK
      @BimblismUK  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends which train company. Virgin and Trans Pennine insist you book. Northern and Transport for Wales don't mind either way. :)
