    I am from Nsude town. The 10 Nsude pyramids are located at Ugwuto village which is my maternal home. Am a direct descendant of Uto from my maternal lineage.

      Reading books is huge for me too, or seeing art and music. Sometimes one medium will get me going in a completely unrelated direction. Like I'll listen a song that make me want to write if that makes sense lol. I'm too distracted when I travel to be creative though lol

    Theres many things that motivate me to create. One factor for me to make art is that I don't want to be forgotten. Another is that I feel a sense of obligation to share what I've learned over the years with people. And there are other things too but thats all I feel like typing for now.

    Hetep or Udo, question: is the concept of chi in Igboo the same or similar as in chinese and japanese culture.
    Also I thank you for mentioning the Nsude Pyramids in this video.
    However please another video focusing on The Nsude Pyramids.
    Also thanks again, daalụ for mentioning Nsude Pyramids and for your videos in general and the information presented through them.

    • @TheMedicineShell
      @TheMedicineShell  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a lot of overlaps but they are different. The Chi in Far East Asia is closer to a 'vital energy'. Chi provides an individual with their vital energy (closer to Ikenga than Chi), but Chi has a place/function beyond that which isn't shared with the Asian word Chi. This is in creation, destiny and the fact that it can also be seen in the abstract and applied beyond the idea of 'energy' (the sun being the chi of our galaxy for example, or a constitution being the Chi of a legal system). Good question, might do a video on the topic since it's asked a lot

    • @malcolmking5023
      @malcolmking5023 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheMedicineShell Hetep,Udo, please do. For I think what I should have asked also was what would be the best word to use if you had to translate the word chi from Asia source to Igboo.
      What I am really looking forward to seeing is a more extensive video on Nsude Pyramids.
      Thanks for information in vids and thanks for your response, daalu.

    18:20 Would you consider doing a video on sacrifice offerings in Odinani? The image I have of sacrifices in West African religions is quite off putting. Do they just kill animals and leave the blood and dead animals laying around in places where sacrifices are made? Tbh the concept of animal sacrifice is quite archaic to me. What if a vegan wants to explore Odinani? I think spirituality should accommodate everyone. In short are these type of sacrifices necessary or even relevant to the spiritual journey? (I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I'm quite removed from our traditions and have an outsider's perspective. However I think my concerns are valid.)

    • @TheMedicineShell
      @TheMedicineShell  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's an interesting question. You will have your own Ofo and own Ikenga, but that person having both is a sign that you should also seek to have both and they will serve you the way they served that person. Your Agwu (incarnating spirit) is brought to the forefront when you acknowledge with your past life, and your Agwu is that which knows your purpose.

    i think ur are confusing ur self a little Omumu is not creativity but the actual manifestation of creative intention. Like u have the father and the mother manifesting a chid. Omumu is like a chemical reaction of like ur ikenga (will power) and (eke) fertility, nourishment. Omumu is what ever it was that was the outcome. that's why the ancient ones thought that they is a problem if the omumu is manifested wrongly, because it means that the ikenga or eke was out of alignment with the omumu, I hope I'm making sense. Tell me what u think.

    • @TheMedicineShell
      @TheMedicineShell  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The video describes it as a bringer or source of creativity (among many things) rather than creativity it's self. You're right about the Omumu coming from Eke
