    Some people need to just relax and stop looking for things to complain about. With all of the evil in the world, if this is all you have to complain about then consider yourself lucky.

    I totally get your humor 😂 I pronounce 'jalapeños' as 'Ja-la-Pinos' and I'm Mexican-American. Even my abuela (grandma) would laugh. 😂 Okay, Hubby said we're definitely having this tonight, especially when we've got all the ingredients (using a 🥔..last one in pantry). I know this will be a hit! Thank you once again. 👏

    Dave , I already know the girls are going to ask if I can add broccoli to this dish, lol , but yes on us & the girls. I started cooking at 9 yoa & always cast iron or enamel coated cast iron. The secret to cooking with the black cast iron is place your dry pan in the oven for appx, 20 minutes at 450 degrees F , will be screaming hot when you take it out & place on a burner. Cast iron is a great retainer of heat , but poor conductor of heat so you can have cool spots in the pan on burner alone, oven solves that issue. 2 oven mitts when you remove it from oven & on burner. Milek is fine , but we call it cow juice. Bowl of swamp seed on the side with a little of that pan gravy placed on it & honey sweet tea with lemon again. Maybe some crescent rolls , but do not unroll them & bake in 1 whole loaf on a cookie sheet pan per package directions as for the individual rolls. Awesome loaf of bread. Keep your stick on the ice pal

    • @TheCooknShare
      @TheCooknShare  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey Steve. Yes, I know the girls would say that. I did season the pan actually. Darn. I have to use the cow juice line. Thanks for the reminder. Love the idea of swamp seed though. As always, great ideas, Steve. Hope all is well down your way and see you at the lodge.

      @TheCooknShare Dave , thank you , glad you liked my ideas , I think the girls would eat broccoli ice cream, lol, see you at the lodge pal , BTW heat your cast iron pan like I posted , you will see the difference

    That looks so amazing. But, what can someone who is lactose intolerant, substitute the heavy cream with? I know there is lactose free milk, but I have never found any lactose free cream. Keep up the great work!

    • @alinatr2693
      @alinatr2693 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      You could try cashew milk and whip it up a bit,maybe try to use some,,cooking cream" or lactose free cream cheese or something like that😅

    • @Master_Petes_Theater
      @Master_Petes_Theater 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you don't mind the taste of coconut, coconut cream is delicious! Also, you could use full-fat yogurt because the bacterial cultures digest the sugars. Most people who are lactose intolerant tolerate yogurt well, especially Greek yogurt where most of the whey is removed. Best wishes! 😊. @alinatr2693

    • @audreycasassa1683
      @audreycasassa1683 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The higher the fat content the less lactose issues. You mat want to give full fat heavy cream a try. D. If you think I'm nuts do some research. Having said that I am not recommending a steady diet of full fat dairy✌
