Lord I wish I could get my Boss to let me buy this. I'm trying to get him to purchase this, the Relay tester kit and the LoadPro. I work on UTVs , Atvs , mowers, golf carts, large side by sides, etc. these would make my life soooo much easier. My co-worker is a Power Probe fanatic. I want to so him the reality of your tool. You videos have really helped me with electrical theory and testing. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

I had a car that would not crank and my mindset was on the battery. The headlights would not even turn on. It ended up being corrosion inside the terminals. My advice is do not ever get locked into thinking only in one direction. Corrosion kicked my butt in diagnosing the problem. The battery looked good and so did the terminals until I looked inside of them. Thanks You Dan!

      Daniel Sullivan
I have applied the 80% wire fault over a year now and it has proven to be true. Your book and online videos have changed the way I think when it comes to finding the fault. Unfortunately, Academia is to set in their ways to accept a new way of thinking, Colleges and Universities that teach electrical swear by the OHM Test as the gold standard of diagnosis.

***** Yeah - well - sometimes you gotta kick a little ass. Creative people must never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever listen to critics.

I have this tool and can honestly say that it works just like Dan Sullivan describes. 👍

Long Time Sub. I just picked this Tool up from my Cornwell Rep. I watched your video'd not only on You Tube, but The Video's you did on the DVD(which were pretty much the same.) You always go above and beyond when it comes to theory and operation. However; I didn't see any real world application from either of the three video's you did about the tool. I know you said you want to get as close to the starter as you can. It's been my experience that there are vehicles out there where the starter is not accessible. So my question is do I attach the alligator clip to an engine ground since most starters are case grounded as it is? Any feed back would be much appreciated. Cheers and thanks

Do you know how Dan intended to clamp to the battery post only when in some cases that can only be done with the cable removed as some cables completely cover the sides of the post. Thanks

Can you explain how you are seeing voltage at the starter when you have an open ground.

Im learning alot from these videos. So, does this also mean if an ignition switch is not getting ground can that also mean is not going to crank?

I's there any works in the future on a Starter Buddy Pro that has the ability to print out the faults? I find that documentation is worth it's weight in gold in the auto industry.

Thanks for the Free Class Daniel, couple of questions for clarification.
What's the drill used for? Other than cleaning terminals.
Our Kenworth's has 2 batteries on each side, 2 grounds, 2 B+ wires to the starter. So I would need to run a voltage drop twice or is there another way I haven't thought of ?

Drill... Bad edit on my part. I'll drill 1/8" holes in posts or starter castings and install a #6 self-tapping screw for a clean connection. On your truck you'd need to do the test first at the splice of the batteries. Or - test all 4, but make sure the connections are clean before you do it.
