Beautifully put-- but Ayurveda does not consider Flax as a nutritive tonic at all, it is very heating and can be rajasic. It is slimy and moistening so I can see why you referenced it. Rasayanas are the classification we refer to as tonics and so along with Shatavari others would include Ashwagandha, Musali, and Vidari Kanda.

Hello, so what in your opinion, can be the issue if someone can’t handle certain herbs? For example, they say hawthorn is good for the heart but I take hawthorn I feel awful, I react negatively to it, also marigold, milk thistle

Question:so much info about herbs seems to be contradictory or anecdotal. Is there science-based, authoritative, current info on the herbs we use today? Thank, and I love your videos.

It’s because there was a great rewriting and erasure of science, and texts regarding herbalism around the 1800s.
The Rockefeller’s paid for universities to teach against the commonly known and respected practice. They smeared herbalism banned the practice and even jailed herbalists.
Ironically this was the time synthetic chemical based “medicine” started becoming accepted.
